Locally owned and allergy friendly, The Cowfish has been focusing on both sushi and burgers since 2010. The sushi segment of the menu features seafood sourced by our longtime Master Sushi Chef Rifali Almunir and Head Sushi Chef Eko Maryanto. Our all natural burgers feature hormone and antibiotic free, humane certified beef that is fresh and never frozen. Appetizers for sharing, entree-sized salads, homemade desserts & a fun menu for kids are joined by our signature creations we call burgushi! A fusion of burger and sushi, our burgushi items include sushi rolls created using burger components. If you can't make up your mind, try a bento box with a mini burger, sushi and sides. We had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, and they offered a table for 4 people even though we were 5. The food took longer than expected to arrive. Service was okay, but overall the experience was below expectations.

Very disappointing visit. Poor service. Long wait for food and then appetisers never arrived, server never came by to ask if we needed more drinks. When she cleared the plates she dropped a dish of soy sauce down one of our parties pants. Manager was apologetic and did not charge for most of meal and provided wet cloth to attempt to remove stain from pants but in my opinion a restaurant visit is as much about the experience than the cost. Burgers were good but sushi was average so doubt very much we will return or recommend.

My wife and I recently had lunch at Cowfish. We had not been in several years but had the opportunity to be in Charlotte for a concert and made plans to finally return. We were not disappointed!! The tuna nachos were as good as we remembered. We had the best cocktails … Craig, How you gonna get fired on your day off and the itsy bitsy teeny weeny great martini. Delicious and well balanced. We ordered the Jalepeno popper show stopper and the local Yokel burgers and the delivered!! We highly recommend and encourage everyone to take to opportunity to dine here. It’s truly one of the best.

Busy night and food was slow, service was great and attentive. It took 45 min for our food to arrive

The new decor is a pleasant change. One of the best burgers in Charlotte and an excellent shake. A tad pricey but everything is now ! Also had some sushi and was fresh and tasty. The reservation system is a pleasant change.

Great idea of doing sushi along with other items like burgers. You always have that picky person who doesn't like sushi who prohibits the group from going to a sushi bar. We got sushi, of course, and it was very fresh and well presented. There were a lot of creative rolls, we ordered the dynamite, which was great, but we mostly love sashimi. Their's was good. We sat outside and there was a little bit of something on the table which we told the server about and she promptly wiped it up and apologized. After our lunch, the manager came to the table and apologized profusely and gave us two free appetizer coupons. Not necessary at all but a very nice touch.

From connecticut and found this surfing open table. The party in front of us had an hour wait. With open table walked right up and got our table. Food was awesome. Son loved the burger and and I loved the sushi!

Really cool place! Got the 'Box'; had a small burger (a little larger than a Crystal burger) and great tasting sushi. Mixed drinks were a bit weak and pricey, however, I would definitely come back. :)
