Cheese platter contained 2 pieces of rind only. Ordered 2 meals of tagliatelle Bolognese for $32 each and they were each less than the size of a Primi portion. Very disappointed.

Appetizer and main dishes were delicious. Dessert was not worth the calories. The sundae has 1 scoop of ice cream submerged in a sauce and looked like a bowl of melted syrup and ice cream. The merengue was very dry. The waiter seemed mostly concerned with making sure we ordered many alcoholic beverages and little else. Despite the very good food, we probably won’t come back.

Don't go if you're hungry. Although its purported to be farm to table, not much food makes it to your table! We ordered the halibut ($35) and what arrived was a piece of halibut not much bigger than a large postage stamp accompanied by a few vegetable granules (tiny pieces). We also ordered the lobster spaghetti ($35). This was described by the server as "chunks of lobster in a red sauce with homemade pasta. The sauce was indeed red, but "chunks" of lobster? Well, maybe the light was too dim, but if I wasn't told before hand that there was any seafood of any sort in that modest pile of pasta, I wouldn't have known. However, the spicy squid and broccoli ($17) appetizer was very good and plentiful enough. Good also was the chestnut soup-but again, not enough of it.

My wife and I went to The Cottage to celebrate my birthday. Because of the COVID pandemic, we opted to sit outside in a heated a ventilated space. It was comfortable, warm enough during a cold fall evening and a great accommodation, but it wasn’t the same as eating in an elegant indoor space. (No fault of the restaurant, of course.) The food was absolutely outstanding, with novel preparations and ingredients, so tasty and satisfying Moreover, the staff could not have been nicer and befitting of a restaurant of high quality. It’s rather on the expensive side, but for a special occasion, it was quite a lovely treat. We’ll be going back !

The setting was very nice, quiet, ventilated, charming.
The waitress was clearly in a bad mood.
I ordered a vegetable plate (not on the menu) which seemed to annoy the waitress, and I was served a bowl of rice and steamed, unseasoned broccoli pieces with some stringy spinach.
It cost $9 for bread. The bread was delicious but it was one large brioche and some seasoned butter— $9!!
My two companions had buckwheat pasta which they said was very good.
We shared a tarte tatin which was a small slice with a very small scoop of cream.
The maitre d' and other staff were friendly and helpful, but we won't be returning.

I was very disappointed at my first visit to the cottage, the staff was lovely with the exception of our waitress who really needed some training or was having a very bad day last Sunday for brunch, Bad enough she was taking our order in bits and pieces but to come over and take the order from my table without me being there and there was only a table of two is ridiculous I was in the ladies room? Bag Millatti was over cooked watery and falling apart the salad had a dressing with no flavor and I thought food was not brought to the table all the same time we were only a party of two… Said cottage very sad

I was excited to dine here after reading positive reviews but I thought it was mediocre and over priced. The bread, which is on the app list, was dry. The halibut was just ok and the goose liver was really not great. The coffee sundae was disappointing as well. The restaurant is charming and the service is great but honestly we're never going back.
