The Cottage Wellesley
We partnered with Taniya Nayak, a featured interior designer on popular Food Network programs such as ‘Restaurant Impossible’ to transform the once light-flooded, beach-like, SoCal atmosphere to a warm, lively, and New England-comfort interior. Enjoy an emphasis on natural woods, live greenery, and pops of welcomed fresh color in the new interior and brand.
The Cottage will remain the same tried-and-true neighborhood eatery with a re-defined focus on local, fresh, and honest product, for the whole family, every day. The Cottage Wellesley’s new menu is created by Culinary Director, Peter Hansen, who brings his vast experience from all over the world to Wellesley, MA. In his career, Hansen has appeared on six episodes of Iron Chef and has worked alongside incredible culinary talent such as Michael White and Bobby Flay.

It was such a great experience. Food and service was excellent. Ordered our food and were served in less than 10 minutes
Nice table, good waitress and enjoyable food; we had a pleasant dinner.
Three diners - we ordered a cheeseburger, fish & chips, and a lobster salad sandwich. Sandwiches and fish & chips were prepared nicely and tasted good.
A quality casual food choice but with prices up a bit, expect to pay $30 - $40 per person with tip for dinner and coffee or a soda.
We had a lunch time reservation and were seated immediately. We waited a reasonable amount of time to get our food. Our waitress was attentive and our lunches were good. Two of us had the harvest salad, one had a delicious burger and fries and two had fish tacos. There were three choices for dessert. I wished one of them was fruity. We wanted to share and could not agree on a dessert. Coffee was very good. We'd go there again.
Make a reservation! A busy spot with great food, drinks, & ambiance. Seems to be understaffed, so make sure to order when the server stops by your table. Overall, a great restaurant.
Our meal was enjoyable and the service outstanding
First time eating here and greatly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, fresh food, would definitely return again!
The food was excellent - great salads, great salmon dish with orzo and short rib pasta dish. Good distanced seating away from other diners for safety. We felt very safe and enjoyed our meal immensely. And the server and manager very accomodating. This place is def high on our Go To list.
Great local place for a break from traditional fare. Food is consistently good and the ambiance is nice.
We were seated near the exterior door last night. With people walking through this door during our dinner it was so cold, we had to wear our coats during dinner. Not ideal, but everything else was very nice.
We were seated promptly outisde. The staff immediately put the heater on for us. The waiter was very patient as we waited for one our party to arrive. Our lunch was delivered and was very good. We were not rushed, a great afternoon.
This place has everything! Great food-nice atmosphere and wait staff! Plenty of space between tables-especially on a Sunday. Burger was one of the best ever! Fish and chips quite good and their fries rock!
We had brunch-the omelets were delicious and the lemon pancakes were great. The bloody Mary was excellent. Everything was fresh and made to order-hot and delicious! We really enjoyed it!
Our waitress was outstanding , very friendly and attentive. The was good as it always is.
Excellent risotto and one of the best brownies ever
Good food and excellent service . One of my favorite restaurants
Great place to have lunch but I recommend going late if you want to have a conversation along with a lovely meal. That way it will quiet down as folks who are seated around noon depart.
Very bad dinnerware and service
They need to update the dinnerware and chairs.
Metal chairs are the widest during the cold season!
The short rib fettuccini for dinner is excellent.
The bacon grilled cheese for lunch is to die for.
Drinks were good! Although we had a few bumps with our food order, our waiter quickly responded and made sure we were happy! The chicken tortilla soup is very good. My friend enjoyed her Caesar salad with grilled chicken.
Loud, but great food. Would recommend for brunch.
Sunday brunch is delicious!
My drink was delicious, our waiter attentive and fun and the Salmon was delicious. I wasn’t expecting much, usually salmon is just okay most places. Last night everything was seasoned perfectly including the sides.
Always fabulous! Excellent food and service... we will ask for Heather by name, she was outstanding!
On the expensive side but lovely setting and good food
It was a great experience although I was surprised and a bit disappointed that my main course dish was mostly cold! I had the salmon and it was the only hot item on my plate ! At this time of year I kind of expect joy items on my plate! Is it just me?
Good was average at best
Great food, excellent service. Indoor and Outdoor (heaters) seating.
The noise level was awful. You need some sound deadening or absorption materials in the room
From the initial ‘hello & welcome’ from Heather at reception desk, our first experience having lunch at The Cottage was wonderful. We opted for an outdoor table and were glad we did because the inside was full and the noise level was fairly high.
The food was delicious and our server could not have been better! Also, ample parking was available, which made things easy to get in and out.
We will look forward to returning! Thanks to everyone at the Cottage.
The fish tacos were delicious and surprisingly filling: 3 unusually large tacos. In most restaurants fish tacos are a small meal--not so at The Cottage. The other meals were on the small side compared to many restaurants, but the tacos were a great value.
Brunch was excellent--cooked just right, good quantities. Staff efficient and friendly. We're glad to be back!
It was very crowded and very noisy. Luckily, we were allowed to move into the back room so we could hear each other talk! Service was quite slow but it was a crowded Sunday brunch crowd. Great food!
Sunday brunch is delicious and fun!
The breakfast menu is basic and limited and does not have much for more health conscious options or new ideas. The coffee is just okay. Lovely dining room.
Great restaurant and staff, the food was amazing. Our waiter Arthur was awesome helping us make the perfect selections for our drinks and meals. I’ve seen some reviews complain about the about the noise level but for an open dinning room which full, we found it to be not problem. Looking forward to going back there again. 5 Stars across the board
It was a great place to meet a friend from out of town for lunch. We appreciated that it was open before Noon, we could get a reservation and the high ceilings and openness of the space felt Covid safe. Thank you
We went out for a family dinner. Two younger children, they loved their food. My husband got the short ribs fettuccine and I got the chicken Milanese, both were delicious! Our server was very attentive, friendly, and warm. We will go back again.
Good and service was very good once again.
Enjoy going there.
Recommend it to others always.
The food was wonderful and our waiter was very friendly. I’ve gone there for brunch for years, and have always enjoyed it.
