Great environment and Good Food Services prompts restaurant was clean and had a Very nice ambience. Menu offerings all look great and it was a struggle to choose which one I was going to have. I enjoyed the croque madame BLT everything about it was great the highlight of the meal for everyone was the breakfast potatoes with creme fraiche. Also some of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had in a restaurant. I had stopped ordering them. YouTube restaurants continually letting me down but these biscuits and gravy did not disappoint.

Food we ordered was fresh, but bit dry. Even the bread basket was like it had been sitting out for a while.

We went there to celebrate a big event in my life and I had wanted to go to the Copper Hen for years. We ordered a drink and an appetizer and waited for 20-25 minute for a pretzel! Our order had not even been taken yet so we told them that we wanted to leave and they comped my drink at least. Our waiter had a table of 20+ people and then was given 3 more tables. That is NOT what you do to a server! I did not even waste the time trying the cupcakes I had drooled over for years since we had not had dinner yet. Very sad for me :(

By far me and my wife’s favorite lunch, dinner, and dessert on date night. The service is informative and pleasant to speak with, we will be back again and again!

Food was overpriced given the mediocre quality and taste. I have a feeling they made a killing for Valentine's fleecing all the couples going out on a dinner date with their set price/set menu that night. Most of the food was in very small portions and even if the ingredients were high quality the way the food was prepared made it all taste of poor quality. Watery mushroom soup, bitter beet and other root vegetables, basically no use of fats, salts or starches in the entire meal, even the braised short rib was only a third of a portion size (given the price they should have at least include the whole short rib piece. We left hungry at the end of the night). Only good things was the ambiance, dessert and drinks. Drinks are pretty strong which I'm guessing they do to make sure you don't pay attention to the food. There are definitely other places to eat in the Twin Cities of better quality for the price and some for even less of the price.

This is not our first time at this restaurant. We love this spot for breakfast and brunch. the pastries are beautiful and always deliver. We thought it would be a fun spot for a prefix Valentines dinner. However it was hands-down the worst I’ve ever had. The portions were incredibly small, the food was lukewarm at best and nothing was particularly tasty except for the desserts. It felt like the restaurant wasn’t prepared for the large volume of people and dishes. Everything looked and tasted like it was made days before and barely heated up. I was so disappointed. I’m also vegetarian and I told the restaurant I wanted the veg option when I made the reservation, and when we arrived. They said they had veg Alternatives. As it turned out they only had 2 vegetarian substitutes for a 5 course menu and it was a combination of two other dishes that I already had. I think the worst part was at the portions were just so painfully small. For $60 a person we could’ve gone to a restaurant and gotten an entree, salad and a glass of wine each. We left hungry after expensive bill and a very long wait in between dishes. We ended up getting pizza because it was that disappointing of a dinner. Go for breakfast and the pastries, but skip dinner.

Short ribs were cold. dry and over cooked. I’m more than willing to pay $100/person or more for dinner. But not for that menu or quality of food. Average at best.

The food was delicious and different from any restaurant we’ve been to. Drinks were amazing, unique and beautiful presentation. The atmosphere was chill with good music playing. Also, the ambiance is beautiful- rustic, pretty wallpaper mixed in with brick, big wooden sliding doors, cool bar, etc. Nice place to be at and will definitely keep going back. They have some other restaurants too- copper cow and also, grey fox coffee. Must go places in MPLS!

our server (Nick) was excellent. the food was very good. the temp in the room was a little cool, but we sat by a brick wall. next time we will sit toward the middle. we will certainly return to this restaurant. My wife loved her food and "when Mama is happy, everybody is happy."

The space is beautiful and the service is very good but given the menu prices and what I've read, I expected the food to be better. In my opinion, it was just average. My partner was happy with his Croque Madam and potatoes and was my teenage daughter with her French toast and bacon. The Farmer's Brunch that I ordered was again, just average. The French toast and bacon were good, but the vegetable hash was mediocre at best, and the scrambled eggs were massively under seasoned. I initially ordered the Crabby Toast but at 1:00 in the afternoon during Sunday brunch, they were out of crab cakes. We'll give Copper Hen another try sometime. Perhaps for dinner instead of brunch when they are insanely busy. Based on our meal last Sunday however, I'd recommend other places over Copper Hen.

Sister's birthday celebration.
Service was sub-par. Waited 50-60 mins for appetizers. Server was extremely slow, beyond what's reasonable.
Salmon on the salad came out raw on the inside.
7 oz steak was undercooked and cold, so tough it couldn't be chewed.
Literally the cupcake was the only positive note.
I've been to Copper Hen 4 times prior to this, and enjoyed every time.
This 5th time was so horrible I'll never return. Or recommend to others.

We went here for brunch and it exceeded our expectations. The bottomless mimosas were delicious and dangerously strong. We had the benedict and the BELT and got a french toast to split so we could try it (worth it!) and it was enough food for at least two meals and everything was cooked to perfection. I recommend this place highly for brunch! The only downside is that it is on the expensive side, but the ambience and the service make it worth it.

Such a cute spot. My breakfast potatoes (along with a few other orders at our table) were pretty burnt, but the remaining food we ordered was great. Our server was kind and timely. We did get seated near the door which was very chilly, but otherwise we love this place!

While the dinner service was stellar, our meal/dining experience at The Copper Hen was mediocre. The Farmer's Salad was an utter disappointment; our bread was cold, and our drinks were warm.

Overall, we were very bummed out. Perhaps brunch is better?

We had lunch there before a meeting at Minneapolis Institute of Art. We sat at 12. Had an appetizer and didn’t get our lunch until 12:50. By the time we got to MIS we were late. The food was great, service good-will def be back-just don’t go in a rush.

The food was good, the service was good. I had the biscuits and gravy and a mimosa. The flavor and portion size were good. The server was quick with refills. I found parking more or less easily, as did my friend. It was very loud though, so if you have a hard time with loud spaces go later. Our reservation was 12:15, and it was still very loud. The architecture and design doesn't leave the rooms with any soft surfaces to absorb the sound and there were a lot of ladies brunching in there.

Delicious food. I highly recommend getting a food that is put together from different ingredients -- the breakfast platter I had was a little cooler in some spots (not fully warm) but the french toast was outstanding. Guest had the quiche and we both tried it and /died/ it was so good. Highly recommend. Also, it's a good idea to have a reservation so that you can eat when you want! It was pretty booked when we got there on a Saturday morning.

I am sorry to say, nearly all aspects of our meal were poor. Pretzel with cheese sauce: dry, tasteless bread cheese sauce lumpy. Duck confit pizza with kale pesto and pomegranate seeds: excessive amounts of harsh pesto and pomegranate seeds - which were old tasting and duck was just stringy bits of roast duck. Chicken pot pie was just soupy gravy with bits of chicken and vegetables with a gummy puff pastry crust. Farmhouse salad was okay, but roasted portabella mushroom are not ‘wild’ mushrooms. Flat ware was flimsy and not clean. Towel napkins were so linty that I spent most of the dinner trying to brush them off my clothes. Service was congenial enough, but when we asked for a to go box, our server disappeared for a good 15 minutes, the restaurant was less than 1/3 full and not busy. Such a poor experience, I won’t be back, there are too many good restaurants in Minneapolis for me to waste my money here. Just so you know, I have never written a restaurant review before and have worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years. This experience really took me by surprise. The tonic mock tail was good. Please step up your game!

French toast soggy
Bloody Mary was just tomato juice no flavor no spice needs horse radish and Worcester just shows who ever makes the mix is lazy
The pastries were dry uneventful
Pork sausage you could play hockey with
Chicken sausage had so much garlic it could have chased away guests
It's too bad we were looking for a good new years brunch
The service staff was great wish the food had been

The food was fabulous...and then it all fell apart! The ladle to the syrup was coated with syrup. I mean I know you were busy but wipe it off or change it out! The service was non-existent. My server, Emily, checked in always “after the fact”. For example, I had to ask for more coffee, which I received after I drank the last in my cup and ate the my last bite. What was the point? Lastly, I was seated in the worst table in the place, right next to the door. In the future, please remove this table so the person sitting there doesn’t have to endure other people’s behinds in their face while they dine. Overall, the food was superb but it was more than offset by an absence of service and ambience. Really wish I hadn’t come or, at least, dined elsewhere.

I always love Copper Hen, and their NYD brunch did not disappoint! A great selection of their standard brunch—I'm always a sucker for their biscuits and gravy, but glad this special buffet brunch gave me the chance to try more things. Great service and lovely restaurant, will always recommend!
