The Cooperage is serving up the ultimate upscale American Comfort Food in the heart of Walnut Creek. The extensive menu features favorites such as a smoked Prime Rib French dip, our signature burger, and the Grilled Fish Tacos. This place was so loud on Friday night! Will avoid that in the future. My husband loved his French dip. I wanted to love the fried chicken, but they piled the coleslaw on top of the potatoes which ruined the mashed potatoes and the slaw. I would be sure to ask for the coleslaw on the side. Decent beer choices but served on the warm side. Waiter was friendly and attentive.

We had reservations for 9 on a busy Friday night. The place is big and was packed with patrons. Most of the food was really good and the service was excellent. Our server, Alex, was attentive to our needs and very friendly. His recommendations for food was spot on. Yummy appetizers: wings, Green Eggs and ham, burrata. The lobster risotto was so delicious. The hamburger was good. We added bacon jam and it was a bit on the sweet side for our liking. The steak and fish and chips were just okay. The drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. Overall, I’m happy we came and would come back.
