We had a wonderful birthday dinner! The dish I loved, and had in the past, wasn't on the menu, but Joe our waiter asked the chef who kindly made it for me!
Good meal, good waiter. A very nice experience. I have been to Chop House about 50 times over the years. I look forward to it each time, and am consistently happy I chose to give them my business.
We had an exceptional experience! Our server, David, was charming and knew the menu really well. You have to try any steak Maxwell style....the lobster meat they put on top is generous and sweet. We will be back and tell all our friends that this is the spot to be!
I ordered a rib eye, au poivre, medium. I got an unseasoned, tepid, rare rib eye, sans the au poivre. There was no char crust or even grill marks on the meat; just sort of grey on the outside and red raw in the inside. My husband ordered a NY strip, medium well, and it also came out rare, tepid, grey and unseasoned. There was too much wrong with both steaks to bother sending them back. We were one of two tables in the entire place, so it wasn't because they were busy. Extremely overpriced for the quality of meat. I could have received better steak at a mediocre chain like Longhorn or Outback for a third of the price. The waiter did offer a complimentary dessert because they forgot the Au Poivre, but we weren't impressed enough with the food to be interested in having more. We've been here a few times over the last couple of years, and the food was good, so not sure if this is a one-off, or if the quality has slipped in general.
After a long day, what a delight The Chop House was. Steaks were delish, done to perfection. House salad was very tasty and the sides were perfect to share between the 3 of us. Would definitely come again.
Food was awesome. The server was not on the same level as the restaurant
Food was excellent. Went there for my wife's birthday and they discounted both of our entrees! Thank you Chop House!
Always a pleasure dining here. Never disappointed.
My food was DELISH... and your main entree is free on your actual birthday!!! Service was impeccable, and ambiance very nice and chill... This is my 4th year going in a row!!! That should tell you something.
Excellent food and portions, made a reservation at 530 for my wife and I 4th year wedding anniversary and was greeted at the desk and sat down immediately upon arrival at 5:15pm. The tablet menu was easy to use and showed what the options looked like before ordering by tapping the link. 3 different kind of water to choose from tap, sparkling and bottle brand. The atmosphere and decor was very elegant. Our waitress was awesome from the get go. Now food portions, for the price you get it's worth the money. Either you can split the portions due to if you get (1) iex, caesar salad its huge. I myself got the porter house steak and my wife recieved the filet mignon and both were very good and big portion. All in all will be coming back.
4 people ate. Bill was $440 before tip and before discount. WAY Overpriced! (ex: $16 for a House Merlot is ridiculous) If that wasn't enough, one of the steaks we ordered came out 15 minutes after the other 3 did, and came with scallops that were not ordered. (son allergic to scallops, yet we kept the steak as he had already waited 15 minutes longer for his) Although food was decent tasting, TWO of us (myself and my husband) got very sick that evening and all next day. Severe stomach cramps and bowel issues for over 24 hours. Due to the price, delay in eating our meal together as a family, and suffering from stomach illness, will definitely not return nor will we recommend. The one positive was our waiter was pleasant and friendly, and all servers very nice. Overall, Very sad and disappointed
The food is consistent and the service is good. Last night my husbands steak was not cooked enough but he didn't complain. As usual for a steak house where everything is a la carte the prices are high. We had a nice caesar salad that we shared amongst 3 of us. The serve a nice selection of breads and butter. The macaroni with cheese was a nice side we all enjoyed. We also ordered brussel sprouts which are very trendy on the menus lately. They were average, nothing special. I had a miso glazed sea bass, the portion was so large I shared it with everyone. All in all we had a nice meal and I'm sure we'll go back. I think the prices could be about 15% lower and it would be a much better value. It is always clean, well lit and the service is good. I would recommend it knowing it isn't a world class steak house but I don't think you would ever see anything of that caliber in Annapolis.
Amazing dinner again. Thank you all!
We celebrated our daughter's birthday at the Chop House. Their birthday meal deal is great! The meal was delicious and the service was great!
Very friendly and my wife truly enjoyed having her birthday celebration there. The entire staff were very welcoming and the entire dinner was delicious. Will return soon!
The Chop House is a wonderful place to eat, Enjoyed the service.
The food and service is always great.
Great meal and time, celebrating Easter. Lydia was a superstar, super service.
Went here for my birthday dinner! Loved the bar, and the dining room was classic steakhouse feel.
My wife an I recently visited The Chop House to celebrate one of life's special moments; a new baby. As we arrived, we were promptly greeted by two staff members at the front desk. They sat us right on time for our reservation. Our server took the time to explain how their menu works, what the specials were, and, since it was our first visit, he explained what to expect out from the evening dinner experience. Everyone was extremely polite. You could tell service was a skill they've perfected. The food was second to none and the menu was broad enough that even the pickiest eaters could find something to order. Prices were on the higher side, but that's to be expected for the quality of food, service, and atmosphere. I enjoyed two cocktails during my visit. I can say confidently that they were the best cocktails I've ever had. Overall, my experience was very positive. Even parking was simple. There's a free parking garage right around the corner with ample access to safe walkways and routes to the restaurant. Don't let the location and hustle and bustle of the Towne Center deter you from making a date night reservation at this gem. It's all worth it!
It was amazing
Had a great tine. This place feels much more comfortable than Ruths Chris or Lewnes. I will be back to try the rest of the menu!
Great server. Definitely well trained and knew how to space courses. Odd that during Lent the salmon dish would come served on mashed potatoes with BACON......... No mention on the menu....... For 31 dollars I was able to eat only the salmon that didn't touch the mashed potatoes..... Good drinks. The banquet we sat in made you sink sonlow one guest could barely reach the table comfortably... The decor was dated and a bit off. The downstairs lobby had fallen ceiling tiles, base board laying in the floor not only not inviting but pretty dreadful given the reputation and pricing. The foyer is awful. Had it not been a Friday at 7 pm we would have left.
This is the absolute best steak house hands down. I’ve been several times and have never been disappointed. I can’t wait to go again it’s always a pleasure.
I highly recommend this restaurant for its great service , food etc.. By far one of my favorite restaurant...
Another great meal!
Always a pleasure. We try to go back whenever we can.
Bleh. Overpriced, pretentious, yet boring. Never again.
Excellent as always in every way.
Was a Birthday dinner for my wife and received 50% off of our bill.
The food was excellent once again. It was my husband's birthday and he loves the cream corn. Corn is not in season but I had put in a special request 2 weeks ago when I made the reservation and we were pleasantly surprised when we found out that they had made 4 servings for the night. It mad my husband's night. We got 2 orders. We were so grateful for the added surprise. The server Cameron was good but he forgot the Calamari we had ordered as an appetizer. He was extremely apologetic. Sean the Manager came to the table and welcomed us back which was nice. He also called me the next day as I had left my scarf so I appreciated the call and was able to retrieve my scarf the following day.
This is the perfect place to dine whether it’s a special occasion or simply just satisfy a taste for exquisite food. The service is just as impressive as the food. They can accommodate a couple or a group. Do yourself a favor and experience 5-Star food, ambience and service.
It was perfect, we dine there often and is our favorite for special occasions
Waiter Philip was awesome. Bus boy made a tremendous amount of noise with the plates and glass ware. Food was great as always.
Very expensive for what you get. I would gladly pay the prices listed if food was served warm and in a reasonable time frame. Just okay, not great by any means. Salty appetizer that was over cooked, meat toooooo rare, and long waits for a glass of wine.
We celebrated a birthday and the Chop House has a special deal. If you show them a drivers license which proves it’s your birthday that day a significant portion of your bill gets discounted. Food, service, etc all excellent as expected. Except I never got my birthday treat with a candle for photo op! Other than that, wonderful evening
The Chop House was excellent and delicious. The food was fresh and portions reasonable. I would definitely come again.
Lobster bisque had the consistency of wall paper paste and the filet while properly cooked was dry and glovyrless
Wow! My server was awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and steak cuts and cooking. He actually made the evening enjoyable for everyone. I would go back Just to have a me day.
