Have been to this high end, downtown Toronto establishment many times and have never been disappointed. Very good service but excellent food ! This is not some American restaurant where they pile food on the plate and you waste half - this is a place where the servings are moderate but the taste is refined and cooked to perfection. As always - Thank you !
Great ambience and every dish was delicious! Hadn't been back for a while and felt it was even better the third time round which isn't often the case...
So nice to have the Chase back! It was just “meh” for a long while. We went for lunch this time. I hope dinner (food and service) is just as amazing...
Our table was not ready at all and we were waiting around but the manager took well care of us to accommodate. Started off on the wrong foot as we didn’t actually get our table but he took care of us that we didn’t even mind the situation. Service, food always the best!
Attentive - my wife drop the napkin & immediately replaced.
Excellent service - CAVATELLI - the lobster was a bit too salty. When mentioned to our waitress, she immediately replaced a new one. However, it is still too salty. Also, my wife is allergic to cashew and they placed the cashew for my beef separately so we can both share.
Coat check - without a chip or ticket, the coat is ready for pickup when we leave.
Everything was perfect, but it is a little overpriced.
The wine list is mouthwatering, but really few affordable selections.
Once over the price, it was a great experience.
What an amazing atmosphere! We absolutely loved The Chase! It was quiet and comfortable and relaxing and, and, and!! Food was amazing, service was amazing and The Chase was a bargain at twice the price!!!
It is acrestaurant on the more expensive end but worth every dollar. The food is incredible and the service is excellent. They made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived and ensured our special anniversary was acknowledged and added a few extra touches to make it all that much better.
Thank you for a wonderful evening
AMAZING restaurant but we had to wait 45 minutes for our table with a reservation. They gave us drinks though to make up for it. Overall, amazing service.
While the manager on duty tried to make it right and our server was very gracious, The Chase was a true disappointment- with late service to the table (kitchen’s fault vs server), cold main courses and frankly a loud environment if you’re looking to hang out and chat with friends. Our food had great taste however with the steep competition in Toronto, and at these prices - I would say go elsewhere. Disappointing since I’ve been downstairs a handful of times and it was quite good.... too bad as we are real foodies!
Service was wonderful and they were extremely accomodating with my request. Could not be happier with my experience here and looking forward to returning in the future. Thanks again to the staff here for making our visit so memorable.
Great location and atmosphere but food was absolutely underwhelming. Not worth the price IMO
Food was good - but not spectacular as the price tag would lead you to believe.
in fact, we didn't really have an issue with the price tag but the portions were really small.
overall, the service was great, the rooftop patio is awesome and i would recommend going, just plan to eat first and then enjoy the patio with some drinks and apps.
The food and service were very good however the noise level made conversation difficult even in a quieter corner and this was at dinner. If you want to be able to have a nice conversation then this is not the place to go. For me this is important so I won’t be back despite its other strengths.
I have been here 2 times. The first time the service was great. The second time it was absolutely terrible. But the food is always good .
The outside deck made for an excellent evening. My main suggestion or criticism was that the lamb dish, which we both had, was disappointing. For $49 I expected something more substantial. I didn’t think the size of quality of the dish was worth close to that
Generally good food but overpriced .
Our server was incredible. The ladies that attend to you however when you exit the elevator on the 5 the floor were unprofessional and not very helpful. The restaurant was empty and they refused to give us a table instead insisting we sit at the bar.
Fantastic food and impeccable service at this beautiful restaurant. Absolutely loved the vegan fettuccine Alfredo and warm lobster appetizer
Although the food was excellent and the service exceptional, I thought it a tad too expensive given the menu offerings. I would, however, return.
A bizarre restaurant with wonderful food and 20 year old waitresses in ill-fitting LBDs.
Always a great evening - food is excellent and staff are great!
Good ambience but the food was below expectaction. I had the pearl platter (very little food for the price and not very fresh) and the pan roast (very good!). I did have an upset stomach at night thought likely due to the pearl platter) :(.
Overall i would only go again for drinks on the patio.
Not worth the money. Paid $14 for 1 scallop. It was very underwhelming.
Everything was perfect. No need to say anything else.
I was in Toronto for 4 days and ate there 3 times. :-)
Gorgeous food! Excellent service and nice environment!
The seating was set up nice and the food was delicious. The service was great!
Excellent view and ambience. Good seafood.
Service is great. Menu has not too many options but the quality will make up for it!
Highly recommend this restaurant. Service and food are top notch.
Nice place, great service but food and menu need an improvement. Why to put so much salt and oil?
I was told CHASE is famous for seafood. But the seafood platter we had for appetizer wasn't very fresh, & the portion was small, despite the cost. 5/F outside view was so so, mostly blocked by buildings.
There weren't a lot of choices of food on the menu either.....
However, it was nice that they had prepared a cake for us as dessert, for our wedding anniversary.
Food and patio was great. Very expensive though........................,,,,,,
All aspects of our evening were better than expected. Service was the best, food was outstanding. A little slow on the drinks when it gets busy, likely because the bar isn't that big, but that's ok! Thanks for making our meal before the concert amazing!
Noisy, at least in the section where our party sat. Food was visually pleasing, but not especially tasty. The sommelier did something that may be standard in Canada, but would be odd in the U.S., I think. We brought our own magnum of wine. We called ahead to confirm that was OK and established a corkage fee. No issues there. When I offered the sommelier a glass or taste, she confessed/remarked that she had already done that out of our sight. She said it was policy to test every bottle before serving at the table, whether the bottle was brought in by the customer or sold by the restaurant. I've never heard of that before. I think the sommelier should have reported that fact without my having to pry the information from her. If the practice is standard Canadian, then my fault for not knowing. I didn't remark on this sequence of events, nor does it affect my rating. Just a note to other Yanks to be aware.
The venue was beautiful - good location and a good view. The patio area looked energetic and live. The dining area had an elegant ambiance. The service received was below expectations - one of the worst I have personally had while dining. After having to wait for 20 minutes for our table, we were seated at one which was open since we arrived. Our hostess rushed us on all of our orders and quickly cleared our plates after the appetizers. We got a cold-shoulder and unfriendly vibes.
The food is good but very expensive for what it is, quantities are very small. The price of the wine is ridiculous, 17$ for 5oz of a very basic wine !
Service was friendly but very slow.
First part of the restaurant is nice but the further one is old fashion, it almost looks like an old ballroom.
The Chase Fish and Oysters downstairs is so much better, this one was really disapointing.
Overpriced and pretentious, great server, great atmosphere, go if you don't mind spending too much for so so food and very expensive wine list.
beautiful place. Food was fantastic. The patio is wonderful.
Mediocre at best. Bad service - until we were moved to the back and all around way too loud. Good lamb covered in disgusting pistschio paste. Good fries and good lobster appetizer. Good oyesters.
Very noisy place
Very salty very expensive food-it was very noisy and it seemed a big deal to deal with my garlic allergy
