Service & food were amazing! Definitely a special occasion place as the prices are very high. But thankfully during taste of UTC the 3-course lunch was a good value -in fact we had to take most of our meals home. I’m not a big meat eater (I prefer seafood) but the tenderloin sandwich was excellent as were the Parmesan truffle fries. I’d definitely go again but probably only during a promotion like that because of the price point

Taste of UTC menu was great, as were the burger and the Cobb. Thoughtfully decorated with some sequins for my friend's birthday, which was adorable. Expensive as usual, but delicious and impeccable service.

This is a great place at the UTC mall. Our food was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the UTC dining experience that was a special prix fixe menu. Melissa was our wonderful server. We both highly recommend.

This evening was not up to the capital grille’s usual high standards. We spent 3 hours with long waits for food and plate clearing. Uneven service that probably was mostly kitchen related. It was too bad as it was our anniversary dinner.

First time back at this location in a few years for dinner, other than for drinks. Decided to have dinner during Taste of UTC. The experience was great from a warm greeting, tasty meal, excellent drinks and the excellent service by Nancy. The wedge salad, lamb chops and bone-in NY Strip were outstanding to highlight a few dishes. Going back soon…Cheers!

Our food was very good. I sent the first batch of asparagus back because it was incredibly salty and ice cold after them telling me the plate was extremely hot. The second plate tasted better and was slightly warmer. I loved the steak and our server did a great job.

AMAZING evening! Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and Capital Grille was where we knew we wanted to go. Husband ordered french onion soup (which he described as 'spectacular' and he has NEVER said that!!) and the strip steak, which was cooked perfectly--which I'm not sure how they did given the thickness of the cut! I ordered the lobster bisque, which had lumps of lobster in it and a sherry wine on top. Main meal was the pan seared sea bass with shiitake mushrooms and asparagus--perfect. We were rewarded with a dessert compilation of their espresso chocolate cake, fresh berries, cheesecake with a brulee top and vanilla ice cream. Over the top. Kendra was our server and was amazing as well. She was so knowledgeable, rattling off the specials and their accompaniments as if she has been there for years. She took a memory picture for us and also gave me a single red rose (to add to the dozen the husband previously gave me!). We are accustomed to great restaurants and service, but this exceeded all expectations--Kendra was actually 'excited' to assist us! Can't wait to go back. 5 stars all around.

We enjoyed the ambiance in the bar, and because it's summer, it wasn't crowded and fairly quiet except for one table, which once their food arrived, quieted down. (We realize the bar will be loud in season.) Our server was astute and timed our drinks, appetizers, and dinners perfectly! He also treated us to a sampling of desserts, which were wonderful! The lobster bisque was the best we have had in a long time because of the generous pieces of lobster! Our Filet Mignons were done as ordered, and the augratin potatoes and creamed corn were very tasty. Overall, Capital Grille is a great choice for date night and celebrations!

Business lunch…as always very good service. Sara was excellent. Filet salad and a lobster citrus salad were perfect mates for discussing matters at hand. Comfortable booth and quiet atmosphere make it a terrific place for any reason.

Joe was our server and was excellent! You all are lucky to have him. Your food is mediocre for the prices. Filet was over cooked and not flavorful. SeaBass was bland. Joe is the only reason for three stars. Sorry for the negative feedback, but not worth $$$$ for the product…

Just a fabulous way to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary! They always make you feel special even giving my wife a rose at the end of dinner. What just amazes me about The Capital Grille is how consistently good their food is particularly their filet mignon. It just comes out perfectly every time - the quality control on all of their dishes is incredible. That is a huge compliment to the Chefs and in this case Chef Joe. So the food was awesome - all courses. And that was totally matched by the service from Sarah D - again we could not have asked for a better server to share our evening. If you think of everything that makes up perfect service Sarah personified it. Thank you The Capital Grille Sarasota (UTC) for such an amazing dining experience…again! It is easy to be repeat customers when the experience is this fantastic!!

Had the opportunity to celebrate our 40th Anniversary dinner here and we were just blown away. The staff was amazing. Adam, our server, was fantastic. The food was great and our special dessert at the end of the evening topped off a great night. I can't wait until my next trip back.

This was my wife’s birthday dinner and Eugene was our host. Everything was ideal and Eugene made spot recommendations in recommending the lobster bisque , 10 oz Filet with au gratin potatoes and asparagus as sides. We asked his opinion of the J Lohr Paso 2020 and he gave it 2 thumbs up and is was superb.

We celebrated our 20 year anniversary here and it was our first time there. From the time we arrived til the time we left we had a fabulous experience! We arrived to our table decorated with red heart confetti and a card. Our waiter, Eugene took fantastic care of us, including a complementary dessert and our steaks were delicious. Highly recommend 👍🤩
