You just can't go wrong with Capital Grill. Had the Wagyu Strip that was cooked perfectly to medium rare as ordered. Great flavor, taste and texture. Great sides too.

Josh and Tina were extremely friendly and accommodating at the bar. Chad, our server, was exemplary! 5 Star all the way! When you purchase an $85 lobster, you expect it to be presented and cooked tender. Not so much this time. The New York Strip was the best thing we had brought to the table. Very think cut and perfectly cooked!

We’ve frequented Capital Grille many times before and had an excellent experience. This time, however, was quite disappointing. We were seated in the bar area, which is very nice, but next to us was a large group with two very loud and uncontrolled children. I have kids, and this is a parental issue, but why is a family with small children seated in the bar area? So much for a peaceful evening out. But like I said, that’s mostly a parent issue. We had steak, lobster tail, and Brussel sprouts. Steak was very good, but Brussel sprouts didn’t come to the table until we had finished 90% of our dinner, after having asked about then twice. They were not eaten. We were offered a comp, but at an establishment and experience in this price range, that is unacceptable. The lobster….wow. We had s single stuffed lobster tail. It was perfectly cooked, delicious and $102!!!!!! We must have missed that when the waiter explained the specials. Actually, we didn’t. When you’re going to pitch A SINGLE LOBSTER TAIL special with no accompanying sides that costs $102, you should probably mention the price. As much as we enjoy Capital Grille, we’re much less likely to go there now. We never went there for value in the first place, but last night was just robbery.

CG never disappoints! We had a quick lunch. Ordered the bunless burger (protein style). The burger came out looking beautiful wrapped in the best looking lettuce! My lobster bisque was excellent as always!

First time CG wasn’t 5 stars! Tuna tartare was perfect but the Calamari was undercooked. It was packed at 6 pm on Saturday and we had a table with 6. The Sea Bass was excellent but the noise level was high we couldn’t hear each other. Our server was really good but seemed to have a lot of tables!

The Capitol Grille is an awesome if extremely pricey experience. The ambience in this restaurant cannot be beat because there are individual rooms in which you can have relatively quiet conversation. This is a rarity in fine dining in Jacksonville. The decor and the whole experience is beautiful. I do not approve of this restaurant recently starting to charge for valet parking. The place is pricey enough without adding parking fees into the mix. Rather déclassé and money grubbing in my opinion …kind of like one of those surprise hidden fees that people are getting so fed up with these days. The food and service were excellent. We will return for another special occasion.

Came for my wife’s birthday. Walked in and we were greeted by Lexi. She remembered us and was super kind with our request to be in a wine room. Once seated we had incredible service from Holden and his brother Alex. These two guys were attentive, kind, and aimed to please! We will make sure to choose Capital for our next special occasion!

Overall, the experience was incredible. Like everyone, they made a mistake by not ordering a steak for two of four of us. We finished our dinner before those two missing steaks were brought out. But they did make up for the honest mistake by bringing over some delicious desserts. We will definitely be back as I have personally eaten at this restaurant over 30 times. Great People, Great Restaurant Equals a Great Experience.

Amazing server and great food! Highly recommend the au poivre steak & mashed potatoes. Even if you’re not a cheesecake person, try it - it’s the best of both worlds, if you’re considering creme brûlée. Espresso martinis pair well with dessert!

Took my wife there for our anniversary. They did a great job setting up the table and the champagne was nice. I had my food overcooked and had to have them remake it. By the time my food came out my wife was done with her food I wasn’t compensated for them messing up my food, I feel like they should have done more to alleviate the issues that we had with an overcooked veal chop. I would love for somebody to reach out to me to make it right
