This is a favorite neighborhood haunt of ours. I selected it for my birthday dinner this year, and am so very happy I did. We received the booth we had requested, and of course upon arrival, the table had birthday confetti and a card - (I love that they do this) and the end of our meal we of course received the wonderful birthday treats and champagne. Olivia was a delightful, gracious, outstanding and professional server. She made the meal even more special for us. We started with a Stoli Doli signature cocktail, then ordered one of our favorites to share, the porcini mushroom rubbed rib-eye, mashed potatoes and their decadent brussel sprouts with bacon...oh my. Then we had the aforementioned dessert, which was just perfect. When you visit the Capitol Grille always save room for the cappuccino - it comes with a stick of old fashioned rock candy!! Yum!

We’re definitely going back to Capital Grille-Chicago. Service was great. The food was delicious. Very happy with the experience dining there.

We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and the restaurant put some special decorations on the table for him and a card. Our waiter was awesome (too bad I can’t remember the name). He made our evening extra special, had excellent recommendations and very good service. At the ensuing they also game my husband a complementary birthday cake with two mini desserts, they were delicious. We highly recommend it and will be back when we are in Chicago.

My waitress was tired, I’m assuming due to a drunk party of 10 that were very loud seated in the middle of the restaurant. Because of that she was all over the place. My food was overly season, but it wouldn’t have matter because I was unable to eat due to a swarm of flies and nets landing back and forth on us and our food. The manager comes over, I begin to tell him about the situation, but he was already aware of this due to the door being held open. He says “I’ll take care of you”, then sends over a free dessert. The experience was horrible.

Had special alcove booth for our celebration. Mike our waiter and sommelier was excellent! Knowledgeable, prompt service without hovering, and such a gentleman. Wonderful experience. Thank you!

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in awhile. From being greeted by 2 gentleman to then being seated down in a smaller dining area. Our table was decorated with happy birthday confetti and a nice card to for our birthday guest turning 21. The meal was perfect, including some of the best lobster bisque I’ve ever had. The espresso martinis phenomenal and service exceptional. They then gave us a happy birthday dessert that was enjoyed by all 3 of us and a complimentary champagne toast. We will definitely go back.
