I don’t won’t to write a review.... I loved the place we’ll be back.....
Delicious food. Great service. I like the two sections of bars (we stayed on the bottom floor, seemed more calm). While waiting at bar for our table, our hostess physically came down to call us, before sending text. Human touch. Felt like individualized service!
Service not all that good. My GF had the Dayboat scallops which were very good, I had the swordfish which was overdone.
Food over priced
wine over priced
Service was perfect. Sea bass delicious. Squash slightly undercooked.
We were seated in an area on the patio that was very windy and cold. We asked to be reseated and the waiter was rude and disrespectful. The bus boy finally reseated us. We were confronted by the waiter who said "oh, I guess you chose to move anyway". The he chewed out the bus boy. The food is way over priced for what it is. Skip this place. Look at the Yelp reviews and believe what you see. We tried it anyway on the recommendation of a friend.
Great Fun. Lots of character! Food was fabulous!
Thank you Jill, your reviews means alot to the Cannery. Looking forward to providing you excellence in the near future.
Fantastic ambiance sitting on the deck overlooking the water. Both our appetizers were outstanding: my shrimp cocktail was very plump and fresh while my wife loved the clam chowder. A beautiful dinner was spoiled with our entrees which were both very underwhelming. The scallops I had were mediocre at best and accompanied with a tasteless spinach salad that was barely edible. My wife’s fish and chips was a last minute order as a result of a very limited menu. The taste and appearance rivalled something you’d surely find in the frozen food section of your local grocer. This landmark restaurant is in dire need of refreshed menu!
Great day outside! The best lobster roll ever! Just a perfect setting for Sunday brunch 🤗🥂 excellent service also!
Had a great time
My mother in-law 85 th birthday lovely great server thank you . Been here many times never had a bad meal
While the food was good, it was not exceptional and the service was lacking. We were not in a hurry, but you should not have to beg for simple things like bread or water. Ask once, okay. Ask twice, they should apologize. Ask three times and still waiting? Unacceptable! We were disappointed.
Great ambience, service and food just a little pricey!
We came for Sunday brunch and it didn’t disappoint. Bottomless mimosas, and plated entrees. Highly recommend the ceviche!
The food was delicious eggs Benedict best I’ve had.great tuna toast. Service impeccable!
First time there and everything was great! Hope to be back again!!!
It was my fiancé’s birthday! The staff was incredible and the food was delicious.
After waiting 15 minutes for
We had swordfish and salmon for entre. Fish was fresh and good, preparations were bland and nothing special. Calamari and green salad were better. Chocolate cake was excellent. Service was slow and inattentive for such a place. Overall 7 out of 10 for both of us. Very expensive for what we experienced.
My wife and I frequent the cannery often. Enough so that the servers recognize us and know us by our first names. We always have great service and the food is fantastic. I have to comment on the prefix menu for valentines night...it was not up to par. We would have loved the normal menu way better than the prefix menu. I hate to say, I will not be making a reservation for valentines night in the future if the regular menu is not offered. Please bring back the octopus appetizer!
excellent for Valentine's day dinner, although I was not made aware ahead of time that it was a pre-fixed menu. But in the end, that worked out fine.
Was not told that this was a "set menu" before we arrived. Probably would not have gone here if we had know about this menu.
A special Valentines menu that was truly special
I frequently go to the Cannery as I love the location right on the water and the outdoor seating is simply the best. I booked a table for Valentine's Day on Open Table and there was no reference of a fixed menu and selected this restaurant because of this fact. When I arrived I was told that they only had a fixed menu to offer, we decided to stay anyway. I try and stay away from fixed menu's as the food is usually not that good as it is mass prepared and I simply like to have choices. I was hoping this time would be different but sadly it was. The scallops were way to salty, might be because I have pretty much cut salt from my diet so tasted it more, and the steak was super tough. When the waitress came to clear the plates she asked if all was okay and we mentioned our issues but that was it. Our waitress then addressed this with the manager, Alyssa McDiarmid who then came to the table to discuss the issue. It was not our intent to get her involved on a busy night like this but her attention to the issue and taking time to speak with the table was much appreciated. Thank you for making us matter and for addressing the issue.
If I could rate 6 stars, I would. Everything was wonderful.
Wonderful as always!
