They were not open and I emailed in regards to my mother's day brunch reservations to see if they offered take out but they never responded. I believe the hotel was still open. Nothing on their website either. Too bad
Immaculate restaurant & bar inside the Intercontinental Hotel, very convenient. We were staying here & had lunch with the fam. There's no bad seat in the house with waterfront views at almost every window seat. The arctic char is cooked to perfection. Hubby & son enjoyed their burgers. The calamari was complimentary for hubby's birthday, and it's his favorite appetizer - score! Can't wait to come back & try their happy hour.
Great food, drinks and excellent service. Loved the view and had a great time despite recent covad events which are starting to impact our daily lives..
This restaurant is one we like to go to for a more "spendy" dinner. We go to the Monterey area several times a year but don't always chose to go here because the prices are on the high side. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for and the ambiance, service and food come together for a magical evening.
We started the evening with one of the specialty cocktails, the IC (InterContinental) paper plane. It came up in a martini glass with a colorful, tiny origami plane hanging on the rim.
Our banquette was large enough for many more than the 2 of us but from this comfortable seating we could look out to the bay until sundown. There was a guitar player offering live background music which was very pleasant.
The menu is creative and entrees come with such interesting accompaniments that it is a difficult choice. As one might guess, seafood (C food) is the feature, offering items that are on the approved list from the Monterey Bay Aquarium just down the block.
We began with appetizers and shared 2 entrees which was a good way to go because the portions are generous.
Our server was attentive to refilling our wine glasses and did a good job of bringing our food out piping hot. I wish I could remember his name to thank him here.
The restaurant is in the InterContinental Hotel which is a lovely place to stay, everything within walking distance along the bay.
Overall, it made for a lovely, relaxed evening.
There was a gentleman playing nice guitar music. Found it very distracting when diners clapped after each song.
What a wonderful experience. We ate dinner twice during our stay. Fabulous view, wonderful and friendly staff, amazing food and a very calm and relaxed vibe. Highly recommend the butternut squash and the salads are amazing! Great work - we will be back!
I asked for sauce on the side with fish tacos so they had to go back. Overall very nice dining on patio overlooking Monterey Bay. Food tasted good. Server was very attentive.
Our waitress was amazing, the restaurant knew it was my birthday through open table and pulled out all stops.
Wanted to have breakfast with a nice picturesque view of the ocean. Nothing disappoints, great food, good service and a lovely view.
The food here is very fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly. They validate parking. The windows are floor to ceiling with a fabulous view no matter the weather. Also great outdoor seating. We are local and have been here many times. Highly recommend.
Excellent food. The clam chowder was the best. The flat steak sandwich was delicious and very good on the portions. Staff was very friendly and the food was served very quickly. We were seated inside with an ocean view. Parking was $15.00 but they validated when you park in their garage. Can’t wait to eat there again.
Satisfying lunch with perfect view of the bay. Ambiance was nice, it was quiet and the food and service was great! We had asparagus risotto and cod tacos and artichoke soup - all tasty excellence. I definitely recommend and will return when in Monterey again.
We had a Wonderful time our server was fantastic the food was really tasty and presented beautifully. The chef created some special desserts. The cocktails were really delicious and different and the little origami paper airplane was such a cute touch. I would definitely recommend this place for a romantic couples meal or a group with a special occasion the view is Beautiful. We can’t wait to stay in this hotel and have our meals in this restaurant On our next visit.
Overall too pricey and not value for money. The service slow, room cold though we raised the issue with the waitress and the manger. Our expectation was a high class restaurant not a general hotel dining room with no ambience.
Amazing service. Both the server and management went above and beyond to accommodate us it was amazing will be back again for sure. Food was amazing must try all of the dishes!!! Delicious!!
Valentines date! Food was delicious, not a very wide verity on menu, but definitely worth coming back.
Wonderful meal with family & friends! Great service and delicious food. We enjoyed the music 🎶 too!
Every plate looked beautiful
Dinner food was high quality
Wait staff attentive and helpful
Food presented nicely. Everything tasted spot on. Service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend.
The service was good, the food was fantastic, and it was kind of like an elegant oasis amid a sea of touristy spots.
Extremely delicious.
Fine dining at the edge of the ocean with great service and food.
Food and service were excellent as was the ocean view from our table. Very enjoyable!
Lots of floor to ceiling windows. Very good fresh well-prepared food at an affordable price. Something for everyone. Valet parking validated by restaurant. There is a waiters’ station between two booths that are noisy if you’re sitting there. Otherwise the restaurant is calm and pleasant and friendly
Holiday lunch provided by our boss...we had a lovely time!
The duck is really good
A great restaurant located inside the InterContinental hotel on Cannery Row in Monterey. Food, service, and ambiance were all exceptional. Also, valet parking is validated for three hours so it makes it just that more convenient.
on this Dec. Tuesday eve, the dining room was practically empty so very quiet. All our dinners were excellent, pork chop perfectly cooked, scallops wonderful as always, smoked duck was outstanding. The server very graciously divided the chowder and salad into shared servings and the dessert was fabulous, how can you go wrong starting with banana mousse and white chocolate? We had a very reasonably priced Folktale sparkling rose which went with everything. We'll be back.
I went on OpenTable and thought the C Restaurant would be a great place to eat. The review were great and the menu looked interesting. We had 7 o'clock reservations and were a few minutes early. The hostess sat us down immediately. Our drink and food order was taken as soon as we sat down. We received our drinks and soup in a satisfactory amount of time but after that it changed. We watched 7 other tables who came in after us be served their dinner but we still did not. It took over an hour after we ordered to receive our food. The food was ok. Nothing I would rave about. My husband asked to talk to the manager to express our displeasure. She was polite and apologetic. She said there was a break in communication and our meals were basically not placed. She then went on to say she would comp our entrees. We told her that wasn't why we complained. She insisted that she would. When the bill came, it was for the full amount. It was over $200.00. We just paid it but will definitely not recommend this restaurant nor come back. I've worked service. I understand things happen but if you say your going to take care of it you need to follow through.
The food and service were fantastic. The restaurant is very nice but we had a table by the window which made it that much better. I have celiac's disease so I can't have gluten. The gluten free options were very good and the server and chef were very accommodating.
Compare to Chart House, this one is over price and under quality. Seafood is average.
Be sure to ask BEFORE you bring in a local bottle of wine, what their corking fee is. $30!
My sisters and niece and I celebrated one of our birthdays at The C with breakfast. Even though the room was packed with post Thanksgiving guests the service was flawless and the food delivery time very reasonable. Absolutely delicious honey toast-you have to try it—and beautifully prepared eggs Benedict. Coffee is good, strong and fresh. The service is lovely and non intrusive while completely competent. Fabulous spot for breakfast with a view of otters and dolphins in the bay.
Solid all around, but prices are a little extreme even still
The staff are very professional, the appetizer, Ahi-Kampachi Sashimi , Caviar, Wakame, Horseradish was prefect, fresh with a lightly cooked quail egg. The swordfish entree was well cooked, tender and tasty but with way too many tiny, steamed potatoes and Broccilini. The star of the eve was the Day Boat scallops, seared to perfection in a blood orange foam with crab mashed potatoes, chantrelle mushrooms and with the caramelized fennel centered the taste profile. Then, the desserts, "crunchy" chocolate cake filled with chocolate mousse, a salted caramel sauce and a delicate quenelle of whipped cream was a delight, the banana mousse enrobed in white chocolate on a bed of toasted coconut, quenelle of whipped cream disappeared without a trace left on the plate. Sadly, this eve, we were seated next to a table of very loud people so we were unable to enjoy the live music. We're locals, so we will come back another eve.
The service (Salvador) was excellent as usual. The food was good; the NY steak was not very flavorful. Drink portions are good, and the food presentation was nice. The musician was amplified and much too loud. Fortunately, we were seated far away. We will return.
The setting and food were excellent. The restaurant is perfect for a Sunday breakfast or brunch brunch. The prices are in line for a top end hotel restaurant. Most importantly the service is both professional and comfortable. Our server Claudia was a jewel.
The food was some of the best we’ve ever had! The live jazz music set a lovely tone for the evening and it wasn’t too crowded or too loud. The servers were very courteous and accommodating. Very glad we chose this place for dinner!
We made a last minute decision to have lunch at the C Restaurant and booked. We were given a lovely table on the patio overlooking the Bay since our dog was with us. Hard to beat! We shared the fish tacos which came with three different salsas and tasted scrumptious. I prefer grilled fish but this was lightly battered cod and quite good! The side of broccoli and bread made for a great meal along with a quite good tequila with kiwi cocktail. Our waiter was so friendly and attentive. We once more enjoyed a beautiful lunch at the C Restaurant + Bar.
We usually come for breakfast, which is excellent with Carlos as our waiter. We decided to try lunch which was also great. We had the fish tacos and a burger both excellent....also had the specialty drink...Intercontinental ? Our waiter was very professional and helpful. Thanks Claudia. We will be back.
