    The wait staff and Kitchen delivered a perfect experience.. The host greeted us within seconds of or arrival.. The salads and entrees were picture perfect and flavor was outstanding..It was a perfect choice for 20 + year anniversary..All the staff were in great cheers. The explained specials and know menu in detail. We will return.. Thank you..

    First I have to give a shout out to our server Anthony. He was very professional, listened to our requests and recommended the best wine. He went out of his way to make sure one request, although tongue in check, was met. My husband is a lover of mushrooms. he cheekily request a side of the chanterelles mushrooms and lo and behold Anthony shows up with them. The food was amazing and creative. They were cooked to perfection and served in a timely manner. I would recommend the restaurant to everyone. We’ll be back.

    Excellent service, exceptional cuisine, and surprisingly nice touch added with live music during dinner service. I found this restaurant on OpenTable while looking for a last-minute Friday night dinner reservation. I picked it out only later to realize it's the same restaurant at the hotel we were staying at. This made it even more convenient! We'll be back for sure.

    As usual the food and service were fabulous. Yes it's expensive but so is everywhere else and no one else always gets it so right. The filet is to die for. It was my birthday and was a very special evening. Love this place!

    We decided to try C restaurant for breakfast after reading their good food reviews, and because we wanted to dine outdoors with a view of the Monterey Bay. All high expectations were met - the food did not disappoint and the service was very accommodating. The sound of the water capped off a lovely birthday meal. We'll return!

    Thank you Joe, the food & beverage manager & the hard working team for a wonderful reception for our elopement. We were a small party of four. Joe promised to take care of us when I spoke with him on the phone, and he delivered. We were offered a private space to dine with a lovely view. We greatly enjoyed the attentive, kind, and hard-working team of servers. Joe runs a wonderful restaurant. The food was outstanding, and the service was excellent. We had a wonderful experience. Thank you again! We will be back.

    Food was fresh and delicious! Started with the special caprese salad and crab cakes - we shared and ate every bite. We had the prawns and crab parpadelle - outstanding the shrimp was large and big chunks of crab and the pasta was perfectly aldente It was a Tuesday night with reservations - sat right at the ocean view windows and Socrates provided excellent service. The dinner was really good and we paid for it come the check but it was really good.

    Came in for my birthday dinner, which was noted in my reservation…ambiance is beautiful, open for an intimate restaurant. Food was delicious, however, it was hindered by the service from our service…which I’m still thinking about days later. He was forgetful, made me feel stupid when he had already taken our order and was asking for the second time almost an hour later. When my partner ordered the ravioli, he pointed out that was the lightest entree on the menu…suggesting he should order something larger. When the entrees came out and he then pressured him why he wasn’t eating faster. I finally had to tell him that my partner had stomach issues and was intentionally eating lighter. When my partner went to the restroom, our server (Anthony) came over to me asking what was wrong with him. Extremely unprofessional. After boxing our food he just brought the check - no offer of dessert or even mentioning my birthday… While the food was delicious, if this is an example of service we won’t be back.

    Went to this place for dinner while in Monterrey. Definitely will never go back. I was very disappointed in the food. The quality of the seafood seemed good, as in fresh. However the sauces they were placed in tasted premade and had way too Much grease/oil. The ribeye steak was a very thin slice.. not something you expect when you order steak. The bottles of water we ordered were $14 per bottle. I expect $7-8 bottles of sparking water but not $14. This was not listed on the menu (or at least we didn’t see it). I will gladly spend $200+ for 3 people for dinner (which is what the bill for dinner was-without alcohol and dessert), but the value was terrible. I have had better steak at Outback Steakhouse. I highly recommend staying far away from this place if you want anything resembling a quality meal. This is very unfortunate because our server and the other staff were really fantastic. We did not make any complaints on the quality of food as everything was correct and probably made well according to their standards. Their standard is far far below what I would expect for a place that is this expensive. We really should have just had dinner at a fast food place… at least I would have not felt robbed.

    Great service. You could just tell the whole team there was doing a great job for all the diners. My waiter was awesome. Their manager (or GM) was also visible. Food was fantastic! Salad was amazing and fish was cooked perfectly and garnsihed bery fancy and fresh.

    Dinner and breakfast were phenomenal! The meat is fresh/good quality, the pasta is from Carmel (made fresh daily), great selection of wines. We ordered the clam chowder (sooo delic), calamari, and the prawn and Dungeness crab pappardelle. Even the bread and butter were tasty! The butter was soft almost like a whip cream texture. The servers and waiters (during dinner) were so attentive and provided good recommendations for dinner and breakfast. We will definitely return to the hotel and restaurant.

    I had a great breakfast meal at the C restaurant. The food was tasty and prepared well. Our server Florr was excellent, very friendly, and attentive to our dining experience. Having a live acoustical guitarist made it all just more icing on the cake. I have always recommended and will continue to tell family and friends to dine here.

    Food was excellent as well as the service. Wish there had been more entree choices. Also, made the reservation at least a week in advance and indicated we were celebrating a birthday and requested window seating but the only option offered us was a window at a wall where we really wouldn't see anything. There was a table available at a window but it was being saved for someone else. We were 3/4 done with our meal before that table was even seating. We were disappointed.

    The ambiance here was amazing, they had a live musician playing acoustic guitar which set a nice atmosphere. But this place missed the mark in a few ways. The water glasses were dirty and the water tasted foul, we requested bottled water and the server took 30 min to bring it to us. The new glasses he brought to us still had a stench like they were cleaned with dirty water. We came for breakfast and the table had those cute single serve jelly jars but when we went to use them, they had already been opened and used. The servers were spread out and not attentive at all. My egg was undercooked so I didn’t eat it. I ordered the French toast with berries and cream and it was very good. Husband ordered two egg plate with sausage and it looked good. His eggs were undercooked too. The trash can in the ladies room was overflowed. Food was reasonably priced. At first glance the place looks like a great dining experience but the devil is in the details. I’m a very experienced diner and don’t get too many opportunities for eating out, so I notice more details than the average person.

    An absolutely phenomenal dining experience awaits you at C Restaurant! From the moment we stepped in, we were treated to the epitome of fine dining. The host gracefully led us to our table, and our server Socrates was simply outstanding, making the service truly impeccable. We were astounded that despite booking just two hours ahead, we were granted a table with breathtaking waterfront views, providing the perfect backdrop for people watching. Socrates went above and beyond, being attentive, friendly, and devoted to ensuring our satisfaction. His recommendations led us to some truly exquisite choices. The culinary expertise on display was simply outstanding. The swordfish entrée paired perfectly with the side of asparagus, and the fried calamari appetizer was a true highlight, elegantly served with fried lemon slices. The wine list also impressed, with excellent draft options that are better for the environment. We couldn't resist indulging in a smooth half-liter of Malbec to complement our meal. As if the dining experience wasn't already perfect, around 7 pm, a talented guitarist started playing familiar hits, eliciting enthusiastic applause after each song. The music seamlessly melded with the overall ambiance, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Even the smallest details were given great attention, with historical cannery labels adorning the walls and staff uniforms, adding a touch of history and care to the surroundings. The manager and another server, Anthony, bid us warm farewells as we left, leaving a lasting impression. In a world filled with chaos, C Restaurant stands out as a beacon of first-class dining experiences that strike all the right chords - from the gracious service to the delectable food and the overall inviting ambiance. I am already looking forward to my next visit, if only to reunite with the wonderful staff who made this evening truly unforgettable!

    Lovely restaurant with fabulous waiting staff. We went Friday night and there was a guitarist, no singing, and it was v pleasant and created an upbeat atmosphere. Lovely views over the bay. The food was generous and v tasty. I had prawn cocktail which was big tasty and sumptuous prawns!! The main of duck was a little bit tasteless for duck but the accompaniments made up for it. Huckleberry sauce was lovely. My husband had ceviche and pasta which was also good. I think the wine is quite expensive but there is a ‘tap’ option. Although very good!!!!

    The dining area is large and well spaced. The service is one of the best in Monterey. As for the food, well, I ordered the Sonora Duck, which was Outstanding. The duck and trimmings were prepared to perfection.
