Great ambience! We came late after a UCLA basketball game...no problem getting even after game went to Overtime and we had to delay our reservation by 30min. Kitchen Regular menu stays open until 11.00 and even later with a “late night” menu. Austin was our waiter and he was great...everyone was super accommodating . Food was fabulous. Try the lamb or the goat cheese ravioli, even the mac and cheese or the Chicken Pot Pie! Atmosphere was rich and cozy...perfect bar scene with neighborhood feel. Highly recommend. We will be back the next time we are in town from Memphis!!!
I had a 6:00 reservation. My friend was stuck in traffic on Barrington due to an accident. At 6:15 Eric, I'm assuming he's the manager, came over to my table and told me he had another seating at 8:15 and we would have to be out of there by then. I told him it wouldn't be a problem. My friend arrived and we had an excellent dinner. At around 7:15 my husband unexpectedly joined us and ordered a glass of wine and asked to see the menu. While looking at it, Eric came back and told us he needed this table by 8:15 and there wouldn't be time for my husband to order. I understand that we may not have had time. It was Eric's pressuring us that I object too. As we were leaving I pointed out to Eric we were out of there well ahead of his 8:15 time slot and that I didn't appreciate how much he pressured us to be out of there. His response was he told us we had to be out and he argued with me about this. As much as I like everything about Brentwood Restaurant, it will be awhile before I return.
Never again. I’ve been dining here for years. The other night I was asked to vacate my table after two hours as I was told there were people waiting for it. Inexcusable, rude, embarrassing, classless.
A group of 7 of us are working on a committee project and went to The Brentwood Restaurant for dinner. Everyone thought it was a fantastic choice. Our server, Eric, was wonderful: friendly, attentive, and courteous. Our meals were outstanding - everyone loved what they ordered. Overall, everyone was very pleased.
Was just taken aback when we arrived 10 minutes late after having haircuts next door,(we apologized) and we were quickly told that our table had to be released at 8:00 and this was the problem arriving late , that everything had a timing in booking. Didn't think that needed to be dumped on two ladies. I was embarrassed to have bragged about the food and service to my friend and have a 'greeting' like that. We felt rushed by the staff and I felt like our fun night could go south. I'm not used to this kind of treatment. I 've been there a few times with regulars and I more often dine at Capo and Cora's . I mentioned who I dined with in the past and all of a sudden the treatment improved. they offered a change of table that we wouldn't be rushed out of. The food was very good, service got better. I am not a snob or demand special treatment, I will chalk it up to a strange, busy night. It was somewhat awkward. Thank God I was with a cool, confident friend who doesn't let stuff like that bother her.
Had another lovely night at The Brentwood. The food and service are excellent. The atmosphere is cozy; love the dark, cool room. As always, Eric took excellent care of us and seated us right away at a lovely booth. We will be back.
very nice spot that always feels just right. food and service are both great!
In town with my wife for the Rose Bowl. Wanted a restaurant close to our hotel and found The Brentwood Restaurant and Lounge. Meal was very nice and loved our waiter. Great neighborhood feel.
It’s a standard local spot. Good from time to time. the menu could use an update and the decor seems like it requires the level of darkness they employ. The noise level is too loud for quiet conversation. Not sure why as it’s not a young crowd.
Duck salad excellent and big. Loved the meatloaf
Fabulous food, wine list,
service, dining ambiance, client else, and valet parking
We were given a table for two which included direct lighting in my companions face and adjacent to the bar which was unbearably noisy. The table we were moved to was quite satisfactory, but lacked a server which we had to ask for.
Lovely spot for dinner. Good food and fun people watching. We brought our relatives for dinner. They were in from Chicago and they thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and the vibe.
The food was marginal. Our waiter Jeff ignored us most of the time. We won't be back there for anything ever. At the price we paid for 5 people to dine there it should have been way better of an experience. Will not recommend to anyone either.
We always enjoy eating at the Brentwood. Lively Bar, lots of locals and solid food. Staff always friendly and accommodating. A local favorite.
I lived in Bel air for 10 years and world dine at least acouple of times a month hère, came back after leavin in L A 8 years ago, and went back last week-end and it is still fenomenal
Neighborhood gem makes leaving my own neighborhood worthwhile
Both guests liked their food, good but not great. Sadly, my main course was pretty bad. Baby back ribs should be juicy and tender. Mine were dry and tough. Other than that, okay.
Been here many times, but last Saturday the restaurant fell down. We were generally ignored by the waiters, the chicken was drenched in cheese, and the pacing of the whole meal was off.
We will go back, but not for a while. And on a Saturday night at 8:00 the place was half-full.
Wonder if they changed their chef?
From the welcome at valet, through the front door, to the table and the wine and food it is the rarest of places: a neighborhood gem perfect for a date, even when you are 70!
