Wonderful experience! Terrific view of the Saugatuck River. Would definitely go there again!
Will and the team took wonderful care of us. Great food, ambience and service
Great food and service was amazing. Restaurant was decorated beautifully for the holidays.
We appreciated the attention from the manager and the busboy, but our waiter was negligent.
Everything was perfect.
The food was ok
Great food and atmosphere
Lovely charming restaurant with friendly service.
We will be back
Always the best view in town! Delicious, perfectly prepared food and wonderful ambiance.
Pretty place. Service could be slow at times. Food was overpriced for what it was.
Needed to book a great restaurant last minute and hadn't been familiar with the boathouse before. I think I heard they got a new chef right before Covid. Not sure if they only recently got this good or always were but definitely a top notch restaurant for the area.
Food and ambiance was wonderful. Thanks to the special Restaurant Week menu, the price was very moderate. Looking forward to returning.
Very nice a little noisy
food excellent ambience lovely and service outstanding- a lovely first experience
I really want to support local restaurants- the food has been rather mediocre. The staff needs better training. The bread has a $3 charge which is rather ridiculous for just an ok bread. The salmon came on a bed of vegetables and a greasy over fried potato pancake. We appreciate the atmosphere and water view but the food has to go up a couple of notches
Attended The Boathouse as part of Westport's restaurant week for a prix fixe dinner.
When my friend requested some bread before we placed the order, the waiter told us that would be additional and that regular pricing would apply. I told him that would be OK. He did not make it clear that it was more than the $3 for bread that was tacked on nor did he suggest that we might want to change our order to the regular menu.
Thank you for the great suggestion, we will make this happen! We hope to see you soon!
Great experience. The setting is amazing and staff/management could not be nicer. Food was delicious. Will absolutely return
somewhat overpriced for the setting and the quality of the food
Menu was very limited, overpriced for average food.
Amazing lobster roll and truffle fries! Baked potato soup and beet carpaccio salad prepared beautifully . Presentation so pretty. All of the food was delicious . Ambiance just beautiful river front. Loved the wine served in ice bucket with fresh flowers so pretty Great service
Went for lunch. Lovely spot over looking the river outside. But the acoustics are bad on the deck, tends to be very loud. Inside is quiet. Food is very good. Wait staff is well trained and friendly. Prices seem to have gone up since the summer, not sure why? Enjoyable dining experience.
Food was awful and one person had to send back a rusty salad with chicken that was dried out. Lobster roll was described as having “large chunks of bitter poached lobster” but instead had diced dried out pieces of lobster. Prices are way too high for food this bad. Service was indifferent and despite sending food back, manager never came over to apologize or see how everything was. .
Great setting, delicious food, great service.
Delectable farm to table dining in a beautiful setting overlooking the Saugatuck River. Highly recommend!
Carol Was a terrific server… She really made our experience exceptional!
The food wasn't very good... I had didn't think the salad choices were very good. I did get the BLT salad and it was fair at best
Mom’s birthday- view from outside deck lovely- servers asked about temperature (shade /heater).
Brussel sprouts, oysters, burger really good and the scallops highly recommended.
Brought bread and drink promptly (great for Dad).
Simply a nice experience
Scott (the owner) greeted us and checked in with us to make sure everything was great. Beautiful out door dining - excellent menu and very friendly service. Highly recommend- can’t wait to go back.
We had a wonderful experience. Food, service and setting were all great. Definitely will be going back !
Amazing food and wonderful service! Highly recommend!
Gorgeous views, excellent service, good food, reasonable value
Beautiful restaurant with great river views, delicious food and fabulous service. A rare find!
Lunch was great. We love the outdoor experience.
WE had a great meal there! The halibut was outstanding and so was the service.
Highly recommend it
Excellent steak frites with bordelaise sauce
New chef already making his mark. Excellent and creative fare.
Beautiful view ! I recommend the outdoor seating which is on the second floor. We had a wonderful brunch
Neat little place we found by chance on a road trip stopover. Adorable ambiance and some of the friendliest, attentive staff I've ever encountered. Highly recommend!
Just perfect! Ambience - amazing, food - perfection, staff - charming! Can’t wait to go back!
I’ve been here twice for lunch. It’s hit or miss with availability, you’re going to want to have a reservation no matter what day (especially if you want to be seated on the deck). One Wednesday lunch was packed and we almost didn’t get a table. Next Wednesday at the same time we had a reservation but it was almost empty. So a reservation is a safe bet.
We eat out and try to go to the best places available, not really concerned with price, just quality food, service, and atmospheres. The Boat House met those expectations, and we will be frequent visitors, especially on nice afternoons.
