Loved the food, Mary, our server, and the view.
We go often!
Great location and felt very safe - lots of space between tables. Food was excellent quality. A little expensive but restaurants need all the help they can get at the moment.
Great experience despite COVID restrictions.
They knock it out of the park every time I go there. Whether it be lunch or dinner...the food is superb!
Safe covered patio with space between tables. Wonderful view!
Food was really good. The ambiance was poor, and even the seating area was non-descript. It almost felt like a cafeteria! I expected better.
Poor experience, mediocre service, mediocre food, poor ambiance - good thing there was lots of windows with a good view!
I had seafood chowder and salad combo. Both were quite good but not stellar. My friend had just the chowder and my other friend had the coconut shrimp. They were satisfied but not overwhelmed. The young lady who served us was adequate. Not as attentive as she could have been and a bit patronizing. For example, we are all seniors (but in our minds just on the other side of middle-aged) and she came up to us initially and asked if we'd "like a coffee or a tea?" and we were all a bit put off and answered, "Well, we're going to order a drink". As in cocktail. And then it was a matter of flagging her down to get service. Not impressive. I would still go back as the view is lovely and the room spacious. But I would appreciate more attentive service.
Very nice restaurant, food is good, view is great. Not cheap though.
A safe and courteous dining place with good spacing and good food. If you haven't yet tried dining out during the pandemic, I recommend the Kits Boathouse.
First time eating out since covid hit. Everything was great & safe.
Beautiful end of summer evening at Kits beach. The smoke from the fires lifted, lovely sunset. Our waiter seemed a little rushed at first, but I don’t think anyone was expecting a warm, clear evening. Maybe short staffed? He finished off great with a special birthday dessert!
My wife and I had very enjoyable experience, as always. Our server was attentive while respectful. The view (window seat) was amazing. We enjoyed a leisurely drink, diner, coffee and a shared dessert.
Excellent food and beautiful beach and ocean view.
Kids meals were slightly over priced for what they get. Oysters were tiny but Steak was amazing!
Quiet dining with a wonderful view of the harbour. Tables are far apart for social distancing and the staff is attentive to covid procedures. The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Great place for lunch.
Delicious food. Only 3 tables at lunch time, and tables were meters apart, which was god during COVID. Only 1 server, so took her long to come back to our table. It took 10 minutes for us to see her again when she walked away.
The dinner at the boathouse was as expected. Food was on par and the staff was working very hard to please.
I would go back again for sure.
It is a beautiful spot. The service was excellent; staff attentive and helpful. The food is a bit middle of the road, predictably alright. But it has a magnificent setting you can’t beat. It was really quiet for brunch and all the COVID protocols well respected.
Visiting from Victoria. Great spot; wonderful food. And Excellent Covid 19 compliance.
It was the perfect place for a birthday celebration!
The table was ready on time as per reservation made few days in advance, though there was nothing available outdoors. The service was fine. The draught selection was good, with a pleasantly surprising hoppy Pilsner from Vancouver Island. For appetisers chowder and Caesar were both very good. Main dish lobster ravioli not as I remember it in the past, this time it seemed to have been placed under broil to melt the cheese, which made it feel not as light as I remember it. Incredible sunset. Men’s washroom was not well looked after with no paper towel to wipe hands on both trips.
We have dined here many times before. The main attraction is usually the view of the ocean during sunset, however, on this visit, the windows were incredibly dirty!
The food was fine, but the service was very very slow and for no apparent reason. It was not very busy, but our server walked by out table many times without as much as glancing over in our direction. I had to chase the server down to get a bill at the end of the evening.
All in all a very disappointing evening.
Food was fantastic but overpriced. Waiter had a great attitude but did not check up on us often; i.e. to take our orders, check for refills, etc. He forgot to bring out a drink but made up for it by bringing us a free dessert. Overall would come back again
Fantastic food, great people the experience was delightful
First dinner out since the start of covid. Service was outstanding and consciousness of covid protocol was excellent. We felt safe and enjoyed a delicious meal with a gorgeous sunset. Ambiance can’t be beat.
Great food, drinks and service. Nice evening out and able to watch a spectacular sunset.
Food was great, view excellent but service was below what I would expect. Not offered another drink, waiter never came around and asked how the food was, water glass empty for 5 min and was never refilled (until I had to ask).
Food was okay, portions of cod a bit small, pasta was overcooked and fish did not taste really fresh in seafood pasta.
Service was good and view is outstanding.
We came for an anniversary dinner. Our server was great. Very kind and polite. I didn’t like how people were walking around our table quite close. One woman coughed behind me while I was eating. The menu should write that the fish is farmed, or at least be stated by the server, we were disappointed by that. Otherwise it was nice.
Food was good! We had the fish & chips, coconut cod, classic Benedict & trio Benedict. Our server, Marcus was very professional & efficient!
View inside was beautiful! Nice Place to bring friends To catch up!
The server was incredibly kind and the food was really good. Great Work!
Food is average. Service is poor. The place is noisy. Lovely view though!
This restaurant is the perfect place for taking out of town guests. Kitsilano's an outstanding location for what Vancouver is noted for - mountain view, beaches, sunsets and active people.
The restaurant is informal and the food tasty but not over the top expensive.
Lovely English bay view, and nice food!
Hopefully, can get a window table next time!
Our server Michael was friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable . We enjoyed the window table view and the food. My son had the stake and lobster while I had the Pacific Cod and fries, which both meals were delicious. Our first time at this location and we had a great time. Will definitely come back again.
Lovely setting and friendly staff. It feels a bit empty due to health restrictions. Service quite slow, food enjoyable.
Great view, well spaced tables, and friendly staff. We enjoyed the fish tacos and particularly like that you have the option of a side salad, fries or half of each. The latter made for a perfect lunch.
I love going to the Kits Boathouse. It's like a mini vacation because we walk the beach afterwords which is like icing on the cake. Food was very tasty and service couldn't have better. Plenty of physical separation. A good choice for these times.
We had requested patio seating and the staff were very helpful and found us a lovely spot by the railing looking down at Kits' beach. The menu was varied and each of our group of four found something delicious to suit them.
The service was prompt and pleasant but we never felt rushed. We definitely recommend this restaurant
