Ladies restroom needed attention when I arrived, I did advise a server and it was attended too when I visited the second time.
Booked reservations a few weeks in advance for my birthday, wanted a window seat, there were a few window seats open but not available, lounge seating was suggested and we could get a window seat, it was very dark and not warm, couldn't read the menu without a flashlight. We ordered calamari and a soup and salad, beer to start then our meals. The wine prices were ridiculously priced for the selection offered. Dinner was tasty but a bit overpriced, my rice was stone cold, waiter brought me a hot bowl of rice, comped soup and salad and a dessert, that was nice and appreciated. Overall I doubt we'd come back.
Lobster tail was terrific! Wish there was a candle light under the butter to keep it warm like they do at the Westminister location. Also, wish there was more lighting outside the boathouse as the walk to the carpark was very dark and dingy.
1. Reservations for noon on a blustery 2 degree day. Doors were locked and not open until actually noon! Seriously?
2. The restaurant was FREEZING! Ate with my coat on (over a wool sweater and down vest). Most patrons had their coats on to eat. Maybe start the heat a bit before you open!
3. Menu is sad and tired and very few items really scaled for lunch. Struggled to find something - and I eat everything.
4. Service was lovely - no issues there.
5. Food was quite good but it got cold fast - see #2 above!
We always enjoy the Kits Boathouse. We’ll of course be back. Thanks.
Great views and great food. Coconut shrimp and sangria is my go to. It’s a large space so I miss the vibrant atmosphere pre-covid. Love coming here in the summer but the heated covered patio is also great in winter.
Always enjoy the view...
Quiet lunch with good foods and service..
Definitely will come back.
The food wasn’t great. The bathroom was dirty. Wasn’t too thrilled with our experience there.
Service was friendly
Great meal and great service! Can’t wait to go back again!
The table that we were sat at had a great view but the lighting made it very difficult to read the menu. We also were lured in by an email offering 15% off our food but apparently it only applied to police officers. The menu is pretty slim, albeit it is COVID time but the three course menu that was offered before Christmas was much more appealing.
Great dining experience!!
The waitress was friendly and always love the view of the beach from there.
New Years Eve fare was standard menu items at twice the cost. I would have expected that they upscale the selections a bit for the cost. Lobster bisque was barely warm, Seafood platter sparse and bland. Service was good though. Will not do NY eve dinner again but will continue to dine there for there regular menu items.
New year’s eve
Delicious food with reasonable pricing! Warm semi-outdoor seating was great in winter.
The winter rain didn't dampen the experience we had! We have been to other branches of Boathouse but this is the best one of all! 1st time to see that beautiful part of the Burrard Inlet, amazing view while enjoying the last day of the Holiday Feast 3 course meal.
I have a service dog so they seated us in the corner where it was cold and dark since they did not want a dog near the other 2 tables that had customers in a place of 50 tables. They treated me like a leper. It was disgusting and against Human Rights. The food was average and disappointing. Last time I will go to the Boathouse. I have a meetup group of 5000 members and they will hear from me. I might even make a complaint to Human Rights.
The food was okay. The decor is a bit tired. The service is not the best. The restrooms were very dirty. The toilet seat was not fully screwed on the toilet, paper towels were out. Restrooms were not cleaned or checked on. Ruined the whole dining out experience when I went to wash my hands prior to dinner.
my burger was excellent, with crisp bacon the way it should be, and though the restaurant does not serve blue cheese dressing, its substitute served well on the freshness of the salad.
Highly recommended with an outstanding view.
Perfect location on the beach to habe breakfast, the view on Kits beach and the mountains is stunning. The staff was very welcoming and caring. The food was tasty and plates weren't too big.
Nice place for a casual family dinner.
The portion is big, the price is good. Not a fancy place, but a nice place for a family dinner.
We went for Christmas dinner and the food was fantastic, turkey and all fixings cooked to perfection.
Our waitress Mary, was energetic and a delight .
It was a great experience all around!!
Best turkey dinner at a restaurant I’ve had. Creme brûlée for dessert was tasty. We had to wait for our table and I wouldn’t recommend the mango mojito unless you like very sweet drinks.
Server was absolutely awesome, great time had by all
Enjoyed our 3 course Christmas dinner at The Boathouse Kits. Service and food were excellent. We were able to sit on the heated patio and enjoy the beach view. Hoping we can do the same next year. Thank you Boathouse for working Christmas Day!
It was very nice. The clerk was very kind and the food was good.
Wonderful dinner but so sad to see how few people were out dining. We have to support our hospitality industry or we are going to lose even more restaurants.
Great food and views as always. The Covid requirements have changed the dining experience but the Boathouse always delivers good value and quality.
A regular for us when we want a nice lunch with ocean views. Staff is always very friendly and professional.
Service was excellent - she was very attentive - sadly, even though we were the only people in the place!
Food was average with the exception of the soup - which was good.
The food was awesome! Hot and 4 plates all served at the same time. Lovely waiter who was friendly and helpful but not intrusive.
Always worth it for the views. Great COVID prevention measures in place, nice pacing on the food service, some delay in drinks service. Overall a lovely experience as always.
Always a good time!!
The fact that it’s covid but these people work and serve customers deserve 5 stars in my book.they didn’t forget to put happy birthday in the dessert. Just a chocolate writing of happy birthday and we appreciate it
The watress was very helpful and cheerful. made our dinner another level
Celebrating our daughters last Friday of classes for senester
Great dining out on the porch, I felt perfectly safe because of the social distancing, fresh air, and excellent attention from our waiter. The food was very good!
It was my wife's birthday & she received great ice-cream cake as surprise.
Overall, we had a reasonable experience at the Boathouse. Our food arrived quickly and was hot...service was good and the restaurant has done a good job making the area safe.
However the food in general lacked taste...the scallop appetizer and the halibut entrée had very little flavour...and the menu in general was very dated.
Safe Covid eating. Covered patio is open for fresh air but with good overhead heaters.
Seafood pasta with gluten free pasta and Coconut crusted cod are delicious and Celiac safe.
