Very long wait for the food to come. Exactly one hour for breakfast food. Otherwise it was great
The food was exceptional. The server was great. Our only complaint is that we were seated next to the only other two people in the restaurant. When the next group came in, they were seated next to us, first group left, next couple seated in same area. The entire restaurant is empty and 10 people in 3 groups are sitting next to each other, listening to each other's conversation. I don't understand the logic.
Valet parking only on Friday and Saturday.
Food great. Service horrible. We go to this restaurant fairly frequently and have had this same waitress once before. She was rude and miserable on both occasions. The first time we just considered she had a bad day, but after the second experience we are pretty sure that us is her demeanor. She made us quite uncomfortable. Sad that good can taste so good, but service can be so poor.
This was our first mid week trip to the Black Pig. Dining Room had one other couple in it, it was fantastic! Weekends are packed and sit next to each other. Food was excellent as expected! They are consistently changing the menu but each new preparation is even better than the last!

After gallery hopping and an unexpected downpour, the Black Pig provided a welcome refuge.
Being comfortably seated close to the outside view we all enjoyed the indoor ambience. The menu offered choices to satisfy all of us & the server was excellent in answering any questions without being intrusive and letting us enjoy a delightful dining experience.
This was our first visit. Our server was very nice and answered all of our questions. Service was very good, meal was paced and managed very well. Our food was very tasty. On our way out, we decided to have an after dinner drink due to a thunderstorm and our desire not to get soaked. Hunter was the name of our bartender. He was very engaged and fun. Help me order my beer and offered to make my wife a drink. It was his version of a Daisy. The "Hunter Daisy" was a big winner! We will definitely be back.
Have been for dinner numerous times and have always enjoyed. Went for Mother's Day and had a great experience for brunch. Everyone enjoyed their food choices, bloody mary's were spot on and the flower for mom was a nice touch. Well done!
We were celebrating my son's graduation from graduate school and wanted a nice place to have a late lunch; as it turns out we were their for their Brunch menu. My omelet was delicious, and the mimosas perfect.
Wonderful brunch shared with friends! My husband had the beer sausage with gravy & loved it! I had the short rib hash with perfect poached eggs! We'll be back!
I've been to the Black Pig several times, and each time I find something else I like. This time it was the short rib hash, which really is spectacular.
My wife and I had high expectations and were very excited about dining at the Black Pig. Sadly we were both disappointed. The service was so lack luster. Our waitress was flat, bland, and reticent to share any of her thoughts or explanations of items on the menu. When I persisted she clearly became irritated and was dismissive with a glib response. I would like to go back and give it another try but the thought of that kind of uninviting service would be hard to take. Both my wife and I noticed that none of the wait staff were interacting with customers. They did not smile and certainly did not check in on us to see how the meal was going. I had the pasta tasting and it was not very good. This is not the place for pasta. If I did go back I would have the pork chop. It did look very good. However I could have that same chop in several other restaurants where I know I'm a valued customer.
I've eaten at The Black Pig twice with no issues and rave reviews of the food and service. The young lady as our server was horrible on Sunday, May 7th. The server was asked if there were any other flavors of juice for the mimosas, and her reply and look matched as a "no". Me and my guest were shocked that she didn't make any other suggestions and then quickly provided "maybe grapefruit". I ordered the normal orange juice flavored mimosas.
We began to place our order and I inquired as to which types of cheese were available for my eggs. The server, again with the looks, stated that the restaurant only had Brie and then offered Feta. I asked if she had any other choices available and was provided the statement "I have never heard of anyone asking for cheese on their eggs". I was completely shocked and stunned by her attitude and lack of server professionalism.
After receiving our order I asked for ketchup by the food runner who came back to the table with one small tin of ketchup for one person. I then asked for another for my friend and she had to ask again for salt and pepper.
I found this to be the worst service since dining at The Black Pig over the past year. I certainly will stop recommending this place as a "must check out" spot to colleagues in Cleveland and out of town guest.

Great always seasonal menu. Food is fabulous. And service is great--fun, attentive, knowledgeable!
My wife and I dined at The Black Pig on a whim and, wow, we were rewarded. For appetizers, the chicken livers and roasted carrots were superb along with spicy pork rinds. Our entrees included braised pork collar and hanger steak, both of which were flavorful and tender (the pork did not require a knife!). Did I mention the cocktails? Innovative and tasty. Service was informative and attentive. And they didn't commit the annoying faux pas of removing my plate before my wife had finished her meal. The Black Pig represents the next wave of Cleveland's fledgling culinary scene where menu offerings are becoming consistently excellent. In this context, Lola was one of the first to set the standard, but other (newer) establishments are catching on. And The Black Pig gets it. We're going back for more!
My wife and I dined with you all on Saturday night. We ordered a lot of small plates and apps to share because we wanted to taste a little bit of everything.
Everything was very delicious! We had such a great time. The server (I feel so bad we did not remember her name- curly dark hair. Super friendly and helped my wife find a really great beer to have with her meal).
We are still new to the area and this was our first date night (without the kiddos) in Cleveland. It was well worth the drive from Milan/Sandusky. We really loved the location in Ohio City. What a wonderful area!

It was our first time there and everything was wonderful. Wait staff was attentive and took time to explain the menu. I have pork loin and and my husband had the pork chop both expertly done. Well be back.
First time visit an had heard about it from friends. Certainly was not disappointed, in fact very impressed all around.

Three of us had a drink and all three really liked them. We had mussels and Brussel sprouts for appetizers, they were both excellent. One person had three small plates for her meal--cauliflower, roasted carrots and warm beet salad and she liked all them but the brussel spriuts were her favorite. Two of had the hangar steak, it was very tender and flavorful. And one person had the mushroom angnoletti. It was delicious. We also had two desserts, I personally didn't love the stout cake but the cinnamon ice cream that came with it was very good. Others really liked this cake. The other dessert was a flourless chocolate dessert, it was quite good!! Service was very good, waters were refilled throughout the meal and we got our orders in a timely fashion. We did go early on a Sat night, at 6:00.
Just excellent. Every part of our meal was superb, and I wish I could remember our server's name to say how terrific she was. Conpetent, friendly, and knowledgeable. Each ingredient had a purpose to each dish, and they were combined in original, comforting ways. Five stars.

Our meal was wonderful. Our waitress, Sam, couldn't have been better. Just a fantastic experience in every way.
Delicious and locally sourced pork loin but for me the short ribs were the highlight! Richly flavored and the accompanying potato and apple mix contributed to the outstanding taste and presentation. Dessert was a stout cake as well as the best carrot cake I have ever tasted. For this type of restaurant the price was surprisingly appropriate. We will be back!
We have always loved black pig, was a little disappointed in the menu options but the food was all very tasty. Our server was a bit rude.
We don't get many opportunities to go out, but when we do it's usually between Black Pig and a handful of other spots around town. We had not tried their Sunday Brunch until this trip. It was not a surprise that it ended up being one of the best brunch experiences we've ever had. The house made sausage, and bruleed bacon were unique and delicious. And the mimosa pitcher is a fantastic deal. We'll definitely be back for both brunch and dinner.

Recently visited on a Sunday for brunch with family. Menu is a little small for brunch, 2 people had the Hash and stated that it was a little salty. Bananas Foster french toast was amazing, be sure to order the bacon.
The Black Pig never disappoints. Went again for a late-dinner Saturday; ordered half the menu and couldn't decide what we enjoyed the most.
Get together with family. We had a great time and the food was top notch. Seriously, each of us (5 people) loved our meal

Loved the atmosphere. Interesting menu. Service was very poor. Waitress did not seem interested in explaining the menu to us. And seemed as if we were inconvenience to her. I would go bad for the small plates and food tho.
Lovely location. nice service with a window seat but not wowed for the price. It seems foodie places need a new craze because kale, duck confit and pork bellies are getting to be ho hum anymore. We had a nice cheese starter. a few cocktails-lots of brown whiskey on the special drink menu. I had a awesome burger because nothing else caught my eye. Husband had pasta. dessert was delicious. cool spot to check off Cleveland bucket list
Skirt steak was unevenly seasoned and on the salty side. Too much going on with this dish. Wish they would bring the Bistro Filet back.
I was excited to try due the recommendation of a friend. The service was very slow. The restaurant wasn't even packed and yet it took well over an hour to get our food. The food was good but I don't know if the wait times are worth it. Perhaps it was a one off night but I'd still be reluctant to try it again.
We has a few small plates - the assorted cheeses were very good, the fingerling potatoes were delicious and the carrots with quinoa were perfectly done.
