The Barrymore - Inside Royal Resort Las Vegas

Over priced and outdated. Food was mediocre. Wouldn’t recommend.
The food and service were excellent and I thought the prices were very reasonable (not just Vegas reasonable). Also the wine list was comprehensive and inspired.
The service was impeccable, our server was attentive and willing to help with food and drink selection. I loved the low lighting and classic styling, it made for a wonderful, romantic night. The drinks were top notch and unique. The steaks were perfectly cooked and top quality. Dessert was to die for. The entire evening was a highlight of our trip to Las Vegas.
Beautiful speakeasy feel environment with great service and food.
Pulling up to the hotel where the restaurant is located gave me some pause as it doesn't look like a location that could support a restaurant of this caliber. I'm glad we took the chance and went in. The restaurant is beautiful and the food delicious. This is a hidden gem for sure.
A hidden gem for sure. Wonderful food, service, atmosphere.
An intimate setting perfect for a relaxing and memorable dinner. Will be back... for sure.
Top 5 restaurant in Las Vegas. Perfect atmosphere, excellent service, excellent food, and a hidden gem.
This is a great hidden gem in Las Vegas. Great food and ambiance! The decor of the restaurant is like stepping back into an old Hollywood restaurant. I'm glad I did some research before my trip to Vegas. We're definitely going back on our next trip back to Vegas. Go there....you won't regret it!
Impeccable service, delicious food and stunning decor. Thank you!
Absolutely outstanding! One of the best steaks we ever had. The service and ambiance was 5 star as well. Don’t be intimidated by the location. When you pull up you will have second thoughts but this place is a hidden gem inside an older hotel off the strip. We will be returning the next time we are in Vegas.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and knowledgeable.
At first, when we pulled up, I was worried! : ) Inside of the Royal Resort, The Barrymore is a hidden gem. The ambiance had a "speakeasy / 20's" feel. I was so happy to find a great steak, for a good price, off the strip and out of the craziness!
Great steak! Ambiance was awesome. Wife’s food was just okay though.
Steaks were good but they mixed up how they were cooked. Was quite cold. Nothing nearby.
Had the special Christmas menu and wine pairing, food was good. First course pairing and dessert pairing were good. My husband ordered the pork chop but they were out, he had the waygu steak and shared some with me. I wish I would’ve ordered the waygu the few bites I had were delicious.
We love The Barrymore. Good and staff are great!
We went for Christmas Eve dinner and had the restaurant to ourselves mostly since we went early. Lovely ambiance. For the price we were a bit underwhelmed. It was okay and portions were smaller than other places at same price point or higher. The lobster creamed corn had ‘fishy’ taste. And the dessert was a big disappointment. We ordered a cheesecake and got a cheese ball sitting on cake. Had it been good might have been able to get away with it. And again portion was small. It was all just ok but too many other places to go that are better than ok.
We came here looking for something different - quieter, more personal, and of higher quality than you get at cookie-cutter restaurants. We were not disappointed. We look forward to returning for another meal on our next trip to Vegas.
Had been highly recommended. Ambiance was more of old Vegas feel (not meant as a negative). Entertainment was great. Wish we could have enjoyed it more from where we sat. Food was average.
Food was mediocre and service was bad. The bone in rib-eye lacked flavor and the filet was under-cooked. They put the filet back on the grill which only seemed to char the outside more while the inside still wasn't cooked through. The waiter or manager couldn't even stop by to ask how the steak was after it was returned. The place was empty yet our waiter would stop by every other table but not ours. We finally just wanted the check to get out of there. Not a good experience, especially for the price.
Enjoyed the ambience of the place. The music was good maybe a little loud for a quiet dining experience. The service was good and prompt. The food was good far from the best I have ever had, and probably not quite worth the amount of money that is paid. My girlfriends filet was slightly over cooked but the flavor was good. My pork chop was cooked correctly, however it was missing flavor and at the price points I was a little disappointed as I am particular about my meats. We liked the place and would probably come back we both agreed out of a scale of 5 being perfect, we give the place probably a 3.6.
I was very impressed with the Barrymore. The food was really fantastic. I had a streak and Risotto. I did find it strange the steak came on a big plate by itself, you wild think it would include at least seasonal vegetables. Otherwise the atmosphere was great and the flavour of the food was great, the risotto was cooked to perfection. I would go here again next time I am in town.
Outstanding service and food. It is definitely a hidden gem that we found quite by accident. The ambiance has a vintage Vegas feel. We have been there multiple times and have never been disappointed.
Great food at less than Strip pricing yet just off Strip.
Great evening at a great place. The food was fresh and delicious. Grilled octopus was tender and flavorful. Bone in Rib Eye was cooked as requested; juicy, tender with plenty to go around. Overall a great experience. Only small detail that was forgotten was to acknowledge my wife’s birthday. I mentioned when reservation was made. Otherwise, I’ll keep going back
Everything was excellent. We started with the lobster Mac n cheese and foie Gras both were excellent. For entrees we had the branzino and filet mignon
As you guys know, this year we decided to try going out for Thanksgiving rather than cooking at home if we may say we miss having a fridge full of leftovers... but back on track, we first booked our reservation at Gordon Ramsay Steak hoping to try his world renowned “Beef Wellington” in which they didn’t have it on the Thanksgiving menu. So our next stop was going to be The Barrymore for their Thanksgiving Dinner. The aesthetic of the place was a bit old fashioned but that completely fits this environment especially once you’ve eaten the food. Our first course was a Pumpkin Ravioli along w/ a Puff Pastry Artichoke Tart which was a very pleasant way to begin our evening. The creaminess from the Parmesan foam in the Ravioli was to die for. The Puff Pastry Tart featured this chervil-mint sauce paired w/ a charred artichoke purée which paired together quite nicely. Thus finishing, our 2nd courses arrived featuring a Sage-Roasted Young Tom Turkey w/ herb sausage stuffing, autumn hash, Yukon whipped potatoes, cranberry relish & this delightful giblet gravy truly representing what Thanksgiving means on a plate. The 2nd dish included a Duck Leg Confit paired w/ a sour cherry sauce, Wild rice pilaf, delicata squash, along w/ tiny turnip’s. The duck stood out the most to us w/ this dish. The tiny turnips mixed w/ the rice pilaf turned out to be very dry. The sour cherry sauce was extremely overwhelming but very good in very small increments paired w/ the duck. Sadly the restaurant was out of a few pies which were suppose to be the 3rd course but they definitely made up for it w/ a Deconstructed Orange Cheesecake that was absolutely amazing, completely Instagram worthy. The waiter also recommended this Vanilla Bean Creme Brûlée that was out of this world. The Thanksgiving Dinner was $62/person totaling $134.00 including taxes for the evening the dinner was beyond our expectations along w/ the amazing service we’ll definitely be returning.
The place has potential, but it is tired and needs to be refurbished. We went for Thanksgiving prefix.
The Ravioli was cold and under-cooked, which is a shame because it otherwise would have been tasty.
The turkey was moist and good, the desserts however need life support.
Odd band choice for a place that is trying for a speakeasy vibe-they had a violin/fiddle combo playing contemporary hits at a very loud volume. uhhggg. Don't sit next to the window on a cold day. Super drafty and uncomfortable. Service was adequate. This is a one an done situation.
Wagyu is exquisite, wonderful experience, must go to this hidden gem of Vegas
What a gem. Great food and service. A taste of old Las Vegas!
What a hidden gem. The entertainer neive was amazing! We’ll be back.
Great old world dining at it’s best! 18 oz ribeye and Wagyu flat iron were delicious as well as carmelized brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes as sides. If you’re too stuffed for dessert don’t worry because they give you teeny tiny macaroons for free which was the perfect bite-sized sweet to end your meal!
Excellent staff and food. It was a great dining experience.
Such a lovely place. I little off the Strip, which is what I was looking for. Service was excellent. The crab cake was delicious! I ordered the filet and my husband ordered the wagyu flat iron steak... both were excellent, but I liked the wagyu a little better. It is a great spot for a romantic evening!
A local favorite & hidden gem. Great ambience!
A lovely hidden Gem. Food is very good, and the servers paid a lot of attention and the service was par excellence.
Love this place- great food and great atmosphere/decor. Only odd thing was that there was a live singer in the bar (which was fine, she was a good singer), but there was no filler music between her singing (essentially like karaoke). So, between tracks, it was dead silent. There should have been something to switch over to in between songs, or have a playlist/mix for her breaks.
From happy hour in the bar before dinner to dessert, everything was delicious. Bread, salad, cocktails, wine, steak and sides, creme brulee for dessert with a special message for our anniversary - all delicious and well done. First class experience the whole time. Restaurant decor is lovely and intimate - live music too.
Ambiance was excellent! So nice and quiet and the food portions were larger then your typical upscale restaurant. Excellent food and service!
This was a great restaurant for a romantic date night. A beautiful restaurant tucked inside the Royal Resort. Even though it's right next to the strip, it wasn't crowded. The service and food was great, and I definitely recommend The Barrymore
