What a great dinner! It was our anniversary and they were great with a wonderful table, lei's and a glass of champagne to celebrate. The food was delicious. I would definitely go there again!
Art, Robert’ and staff made our dining experience one of best we think we’ve ever had. Kudos to the chef also. Everything was 5 star-if staying at the Ritz Carlton, this is a much for dinner.
Fantastic view. My ahi salad was exceptional!!
Staying at the Ritz-Carlton anyway, we figured we would come here instead of driving an hour or so to Mama Fish House (we’d been there before) — so glad we tried this place. The view is INCREDIBLE — whales and all — our server Nick was fantastic
Had the Mahi and the steak — fresh local veggies, lobster rolls, rice, delicious Hawaiian sweet bread. Special meal enjoyed by us both.
It was a very memorable experience. We were celebrating our 40 th wedding anniversary and our server Katherine was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Service was impeccable. The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
My wife and I have been annual visitors to our beloved Maui for many years after being being married in Hana eleven years ago. Personally I have spent more than 25 years visiting the island paradise with all of its precious treasures. We have added a new treasure to our world and highly recommend it to thoughtful and discerning visitors who seek the very best in Maui dining....The Banyon Tree at the Ritz in Kapalua. Chef Bella has created an environment that welcomes all with an inviting environment, an extraordinary staff and the most creative menu. Even more this special place delivers with the best of service from dedicated professionals like Savanna and Lara who clearly believe the “Bella dream”....we certainly believe that food in this place can become your Maui Dream! There are no words to describe it...you need to visit the Banyon Tree for the best dinner one could imagine....Bravo Chef Bella!
Food and service were excellent. View was incredible
Valentine’s Day. Wedding week in Maui
Usual Ritz pricing and food quality - but service and attentiveness lacking. Limited menu for Valentines Day, but later realized other dinners (somehow) ordered from everyday menu ... which was never offered to us.
Elopement wedding dinner. The staff made it an amazing, special experience. We felt like royalty. Highly recommended.
Great food and service. Wonderful patio.
The server, Lara, was absolutely fabulous. Best we have ever had in Maui. Go see her!
Food kind of weird. My lobster tail was the size of my finger which was ridiculous for $35. My husband enjoyed his ahi tuna. Also the special drinks were awful. Just get normal drinks. Or go elsewhere...
Our experience at the Banyan Tree was somewhat mixed, but overall good. The drinks and appetizers were so amazing that I would consider going back just for those the next time we are in Maui. Our greeting from the hostesses could only be described as cool; however, our server was very friendly and knowledgeable and there was a very proficient manager who helped sort out a better table for us. The snapper special with an orange puree was a total miss; the regular mahi mahi was delicious. All in all, I would recommend it for a nice dinner out in Maui with some unique tastes and dishes; however, this is room for a little improvement.
Robert, our server, really made my wife’s BD dinner really special. From the hostess to the water guy, lots of big smiles and helpful attitude. We have eaten there before, so we knew everything would be perfect. Food was great. Wife really enjoyed the hot, raspberry strudel. Will return and ask for Robert.
Enjoyed dinner with friends who happened to be visiting Maui at the same time as us and who live 100+ miles from us. We first enjoyed drinks and appetizers by a fire pit and were delightfully served by Robert. Then we moved to an outside table with excellent viewing of the fire show. Robert continued to serve us. The seafood bowl for two was delicious although I could have used a little more rice. The food was priced as we might expect. The cocktails were way expensive. The total bill for four including tip was over $320, a bit on the pricey side but enjoyed the evening.
Fun place to eat. Interesting dishes with nice atmosphere. Berry crumble was great dessert!
Elegant semi-outdoor hotel restaurant. Lovely food and drinks, knowledgable waiters. Surprise fire dancers! Charming way to end our Maui vacation.
Great dinner option at the Ritz Carlton. Seated with a fantastic view of the fire show. Food was delicious. Prices are what you would expect for a resort.
It was extremely loud and the food was not very good, especially for the price.
Superb, sublime. The Filipino influences were so thoughtfully and masterfully woven into the dishes. So fresh. The bibinka for dessert with the tumeric tea was perfect.
The smoothest and tastiest MaiTai on the Island.
An absolutely spectacular views both inside and on the patio of the recently renovated bar & dinning areas.
The outstanding long term waite staff of Robert & Laura provided outstanding knowledge of the menu including evening specials, as well as recommendations from the extensive the wine selections.
A wonderful evening was had by all.
We had such a wonderful experience w our waiter Ara, that we decided to come back the following evening for another wonderful experience. He was knowledgeable and personable, which made for a great evening both nights.
Luke has to be once of the best waiters I’ve seen . Thank you for making our night special
Becca the hostess was fabulous. The ambience and food as expected great.. loved it
The lobster lumpia was delightful; the seafood pot for two was wonderful; the hawaiian sweet bread was like brioche but a little buttery and salty; the asparagus was tasty and hamakura mushrooms enjoyable. The space is more informal than one would anticipate for such a restaurant, the view not particularly impressive, and the red wines by the glass were served chilled. The excuse was that the ambient temperatures would make the wines too warm, but it was only in the 70s and temperatures can be controlled indoors.
We went here three days ago and it was lovely. This time it was like a whole different restaurant. The service was poor, the food was cold altogether a totally different experience. Very disappointed by our return dining.
The food was excellent, but portions quite small as most fancy restaurants. I particularly didn’t like the service, when we asked to change something in the dish the waiter looked at as as sinners... He couldn’t hear very well, or it was the music that was actually a bit loud that we couldn’t hear other people across our table. Quite overpriced.
Excellent Food. Beautiful Setting and Great Service. We will be going back to work our way through the menu!
Really special place.
The food was disgusting !
Banyan Tree was the best meal of our two weeks in Hawaii. The staff were exceptional and the food was superb. We will be back !!
Made reservation but had to wait and were seated outside. Too noisy. Chairs were bulky, hard to move. Wild cats near our table was unsettling. Sat on a patio outdoor area. Should have been more options/ choices for the price. Very expensive!
We went to the Banyan Tree for New Years Eve. It was a 4 course price fix dinner. Service was great, staff was friendly and polite. Food was very good and they provide a nightly fire dance by a local group. We had a great night and would go back for sure.
Wonderful meal, location and service.
Food was excellent. Service was amazing. Our waiter, Ara, made excellent recommendations (the steak was top notch as was the pancit). The view is spectacular too!
The young kid lacked problem solving skills
We had reservations, when we arrived he said due to rain they did not have table and we could eat in
We let him know it was not our problem - then he said they had large parties arriving - still not our problem
Then a young gal walked up after over hearing - who then said it would be a moment- she then seated us and apologize fir the young hostess
Fire Dancer was a bonus as we have never experienced that before. Our waiter and service were outstanding. Food was delicious.
