Our server Luke was incredible!! Food was amazing and best yet in Maui. You will not be disappointed.
Beautiful setting and the food was very good but not excellent considering the exorbitant prices. You expect the Ritz Carlton to be expensive but it should come with an extraordinary experience and this fell short. The beverage program was embarrassing for such a high end property and the staff wasn't well trained.
The food was incredibly bland and even more incredibly over-priced. We ordered a seafood tower to start at a cost of $98. It was copiously filled, but it was obvious that all of the shellfish except the oysters were previously frozen and not fresh. They had no taste at all. We ordered a seafood curry pot for our main course, it was similarly tasteless. It’s a shame because the restaurant is beautiful and the service very good. Sadly, we won’t return.
The food was incredible and almost everything on the menu is gluten free. The portions are small so make sure to order an appetizer (and dessert). ;)
The overall dining experience was very good. Food and staff were great as were the mixed drinks. Being at a Ritz Carlton we felt the food prices were inflated and the wine list prices borderlined ridiculous. There are plenty other places to eat with equally high quality & service and not feel like we were being gouged.
When we dine we rarely order the same entree but the Mahi Mahi with a curry and red pepper sauce was too enticing and it did not disappoint. One of the best combinations of tastes we have ever had. The service was also spectacular with Dustin as our server showing us a new decanter (to us) that added a fun vibe to having a great bottle of wine. Oh yeah...the view happens to be to die for.
Great time and food. Server Charles was attentive and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere.
Steak over cooked- vegetable ‘s too spicy
Server had a attitude- won’t be back
Too bad the place is beautiful, but the food is uninspiring, especially for the price.
Went to Happy Hour twice in one week. The quality of the food is superb and at half price affordable
Fantastic location at the Ritz-Carlton. Excellent food and service. Well worth the the experience
ABSOLUTELY the best experience! We celebrated my birthday there days ago and our server Luke was just OUSTANDING. My fiancé and I come with 15+ years in hospitality and Luke just swept us away with how special he made me feel celebrating my birthday and helping us have a memorable night. The team, the ENTIRE TEAM at Banyan Tree, will take only the best care of you. Oh and the drinks, the food, the DESSERT?! Delicious!!!
Food is very overpriced for the quality. Very disappointed for a Ritz Carlton restaurant.
Wonderful all around—dinner was delicious, fresh and creative. Service was warm and attentive. The view to the Pacific amazing! We loved spending the evening here.
Nick was great as our server!!
Outstanding makeover... Such a great location.. Everything was great!
Beautiful place with a gorgeous view. Delicious food.
Our server Nick was so amazing! He made our experience just wonderful.
Awesome experience. Great food and service. Highly recommended.
Was surprised to see that we were charged $10 for just a regular still water that we didn't order. For a $300 dollar bill for 2 people this is such a bad tasting move... Also food is not served like on photos in their menu: e.g. Ceviche is not coming in a coconut for some reason. Well, maybe they are out of coconuts, we thought. But an hour later they served an ice cream in a coconut. Strange. The Fish was great and very tasty, but the overall impression is hurt by little things like this.
The service was friendly but slow. Got there at 5:30 and was 6 before got out champagne, not allowing us option for a second glass at tiki hour prices... food was under seasoned.
Maybe I was misinformed, but being at the Ritz Carlton I expected a little more class than allowing male patrons to eat with their hats on like they were at a softball game. The menu was very limited with the wait staff trying to explain what items were without saying it’s real different. The directions once you are arriving are non existent. You are directed to park then walk. No direction which way to go.
Great Food! We enjoyed Chef Bella's creative menu and can not wait until the next meal!
Very flavorful food...slow service.
Probably the worst service I had Experienced on a ritz premise . As a Platinum executive member I expected at least my starters to come earlier than 1 hour and 15 minutes . Left with a bitter taste on our mouth .
Very pricey for average food. Service was slow.
New (only) dinner restaurant in the Ritz. Beautiful venue, inventive menu, terrible execution/ preparation. All four dishes we ordered were flawed. Lobster roll turned out to be a fried egg roll with a watered down flimsy sauce. Goat cheese salad had too little arugula to be called a salad and the goat cheese liquivied on the plate under the tomatoes such that one couldn't even get it onto the second of two toast points it was served with. Squd salad had 4 little pieces of squid.. a sad little salad on the taro paste was a bad idea. Then the beautiful mahi mahi was ruined by being way over peppered, and I love pepper. The water was served from a 500ml plastic bottle... that's real environmentally friendly, not! And not classy at all. I was afraid to order anything else or dessert, so left hungry and ripped off for$200+.
Staying at the Ritz Carlton and decided to go to Banyan Tree because of their Tiki Hour special and convenient location. Even with just buying the half off appetizers specials, it was insanely expensive for small portions of food. Also, the drink special is only for one type of champagne. Better places to eat for a better price.
Food is below average with good presentation. We had Octopus, Mahi Mahi, Ono. Octopus was tender, but that was it. Can not say anything else good. If you like to look at food, that's your place.
Fantastic food a wonderful last meal on the island! Server was great as well.
Very lovely setting for a picturesque evening dinner on the Ritz-Carlton property. We had The Ribeye dinner that was presented pre-sliced for wrapping the delicious (perfectly cooked) tender slices of beef with butter lettuce along with specialty salt, peppers, scallions and other spices. Perfect balance between salt, acid, and the fat of the ribeye. Excellent dish. We also had the Lobster Lumpia (good) and the Ceviche was amazing. Great food and Service, highly recommend.
This was our first visit since the remodel and the new Chef. The new layout and design is amazing and only exceeded by the incredible new menu. The presentation and flavors of everything we ordered was outstanding. It was truly a wonderful evening!
Nice atmosphere and good Asian Pacific food. Worth a visit to the Ritz to eat at the Banyan Tree.
The food and the amy
The restaurant was actually closed and moved to another one. There was no mention on Open Table. Very disappointing.
Banyan Tree was closed for renovation. Will not be open again before mid December. Thank you for a wo der birthday surprise. Not.
Food and service was amazing. Especially the Poke and Mahi.
We celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Banyan Tree, with an extraordinary meal! What a beautiful location, with a stunning view of the ocean and a glorious sunset. The staff was incredibly kind to us, from the server to the chef. This meal was truly the highlight of our trip, and it was a joy from start to finish. The ahi poke was divine, the risotto was delicious; Mahi mahi melted in your mouth; excellent chicken; lovely salad; amazing desserts. Although the menu is small, the offerings are inventive and so satisfying. This is a very elegant restaurant with the most attentive service we’ve ever experienced. Thank you, Banyan Tree- we will be back on our next trip to the islands. Mahalo!!
We ate at the Banyan Tree our last night at the Ritz Carlton. The food was excellent and huge portions, which we weren't expecting. In particular the chicken and the house-made Hawaiian sweet roll were knockouts. I had a fish dish, and I wish I ordered the chicken! Someone else at our table had the risotto, which was delicious but very heavy. The ambiance is lovely--it's right next to the pool with a very pretty view. It is definitely an expensive meal; it was our most expensive on Maui.
Awsome food and service, beautiful view outside.
Banyan Tree was a disappointment. The overall experience - food, service, ambience- was pretentious and overrated. There is zero view too. I’d skip Banyan Tree and do Merrimans again.
