Booked a table for dinner at 1700 as attending an event locally at 1830. Arrived at 1630 ordered drinks and took a seat at the outside tables to await a move to our table. After a few minutes advised that the kitchen did not open until 1800. As such we were forced to move on and try to find somewhere to eat. I simply cannot understand why they accepted a booking for 1700.

As always really really well done and superb food. Suggestion ….Would be great to see a couple more mains at the lower £20s price point as the majority seem to be nearer £30 which , although superb dishes, don’t fit the budget for mid-week / after work /more frequent visits Staff and service are , as always, flawless !

Party of four visited for late Sunday lunch. Food was excellent. Service very mixed. A couple of staff provided warm and friendly service, one member of staff was sullen and did the absolute minimum. Cleared the dishes when one of us was still chewing their last mouthful and left a load of dirty dishes and glasses on the table. We asked for 5 minutes break before ordering our dessert and she never came back at all. We had to hunt down another member of staff to take our order. While the food was great, not sure I’d rush back. It’s nice to feel welcomed and appreciated when you’re ditching a load of money somewhere, but here, after our initial warm welcome, we felt like an inconvenience. Shame as the venue and food are good.

We love the atlas but the service was very slow despite a minimal number of patrons and the portions (at least the mozzarella starter) appear to have shrunk ?

Not wide choice on lunch menu but what we ordered was very good. Staff pleasant and promt service. We had the burger and chips. Burger very meaty and tasty - fabulous chunky chips not greasy. Cost very reasonable.
