   The balsamic on the grilled mushroom was mostly vinegar so not to my liking but all else ok

   Very very disappointing! Not sure what the issue was since there was literally no one in restaurant, other than us and our guest. The menu was terrible, other than elk chili, poor selection and tasteless. Waiters took forever to return to table, never got our plates to share the Happy Hour appetizers, will never eat here again when in SM. Very disappointing!

   We've eaten at the Artisan for many years. Never again. It has gone way down hill. It used to be a good upscale restaurant with fairly good atmosphere and service. Now the food is limited quality, selection is small, upscale menu replaced by bar food, poor environment, terrible service. Hard to understand how such a good spot has turned so bad.

   The food ambience service was excellent. The only thing I was disappointed in was the selection of wines by the glass I was looking for a nice full bodied red Cabernet. There were plenty of lovely wines by the bottle, but not by the glass.

   I’ve eaten at the Artisan at least a dozen times in the past ten years. I’ll say that the food always tastes good. However was shocked to see only four main entrees in the menu, in addition to four burgers and several small plates. It’d be great to see a larger variety of entrees to choose from.

   We were underwhelmed by the food presentation and preparation. It was mediocre. The trout tasted okay but was nothing special and the portion was big enough to share. The elk bolognese was tasty but the pasta it was served on was nothing special. The charcuterie is a waste of $20.00. It was basic cheese cubes, salami, olives and nuts . Something I’d make from the deli case at the supermarket. The bar was hopping, drinks were tasty, service staff were excellent, professional, and polite!!! Too bad the food isn’t better.

   Thank you for taking the time to provide us with honest feedback of your experience. In regards to our charcuterie board, we’re sorry that it did not meet your expectations. The cheese and side proteins rotate, so our offerings do change. I apologize that this particular board did not match what you anticipated, however, we are delighted to hear that our beverage selection and service met your expectations.     There are only 4main entrees, I got the trout and my husband got the steak, they were both terrible! The waitress was nice. Not many people there and I understand why. Save yourself disappointment don’t go here!

    The four entrees you mention are our signature Artisan dishes. We also feature four different sandwiches on our menu along with the option to order salad, sides or appetizers to further supplement your meal at any time. Had you informed us or your server, Sarah, during your visit we would have happily provided you with food that met your expectations.
