Welcome to the height of fine dining. Welcome to Texas de Brazil.
Food rotation was very slow. We waited at least 15 minutes between each meat. We did not get the full selection of menu items available. The sausage and flank steak came around several times while the other meats came maybe once. I counted and we only had 9 meats to pass our table. We never got offered any drinks other than water until almost the end when we were ready to leave. We have been to several other locations and had better experiences.
Food was very good. The salad bar is a meal in itself. We loved to meat selections...the flank steak was our table's favorite. Pleasant staff all around but could be a little more attentive to refills, plate removal, and seeing when disks are turned. We we will go back again.
Chose this location for my boyfriend’s birthday. Food was excellent!!!!
We love Texas de Brazil and used to frequent the one in Jacksonville, Florida. We had a random date night and wanted to try the one in Norfolk. We loved the meat and our server was good! But being in the middle of the restaurant we had slower meat service. Several times the meat servers would go to the tables surrounding us and not see that our cards were green. Eventually we got some but it was kind of disappointing. There were a few cuts of meat that never came to our table at all or came very late into our meal. We will go back but will request a table not in the middle of others.
They had a lack of meat and the servers barely came to our table. They also stop serving the lamb chops. Unfortunately, we ended up wasting our time and money by leaving unsatisfied and not full!
It was pretty busy but the servers of the meat were rushed and dumped blood all over the table and onto our clothes. We’ve frequented this location often and have had no problems but Saturday night was totally different. Also a lot of the meat that we were served was overcooked and dry.
Food and environment was good. Yet, the service was very slow. There was maybe only three or four parties in the restaurant yet we waited at least 30 minutes for our checks and desserts alone.
I was very disappointed with how the meats were cooked. They were not worth what we paid. The chicken was so dry, the steak that was supposed to be medium rare was medium well. All the meats they said they had online they didn’t have. Just a big disappointment
Great as usual!
This was 4th visit but the first time on Sunday afternoon. We were disappointed in this experience. Much fewer meat selections then evening dining. Fewer meat carvers/servers meant longer waits and fewer choices. The meat carvers were splashing drippings all over table, floor, and our clothing. Desert option offered was not even available so we just opted to end our meal without and left dissatisfied with this particular visit.
The restaurant was fairly empty and we were sat with two big parties between our table of 4 and the kitchen. Barely any meat made it to our table, we received left over scraps on the skewers after the two big parties ate the bulk of the meat. Our server didn’t even greet us for 20 min after sitting and after my husband complained to the hostess that we hadn’t even been offered water yet. Then we barely had any meat and asked repeatedly for medium rare but because one of the parties we were not associated with requested medium well, all we were left with was well done. We had to specifically request to be served at least 4 times (some times we got a response, some we did not). This was by far the worst service we’ve ever experienced here. Afterwards we went next door to CPK to grab a drink while waiting for someone and were frequented more by CPK’s wait staff in the 30 min we were there for one round of drinks than in the 2+ hours we ate at Texas de Brazil.
Our service was awful, luckily the manager came over and made it better, but the waitress left something to be desired
Love it, food and atmosphere was fantastic, my kids had so much choices to eat that they enjoy it, it was pricey but good experience
I have been coming every year for a birthday and or anniversary. This year was very disappointing. Only received samples of half of what was on the menu listed for the meats.
Actually saw one server coughing over the meat as he was walking around, passed on the flank steak I believe is what he said.
Was dissatisfied that never got the lamb chops or house sirloin which has always been a favorite.
Norfolk Texas de Brazil has lost its value. Will try new restaurants next year.
It was too much money that we paid almost $300 For 4 people the meat was to burnt we wanted it well done they will now bring us often meet to the table our server took too long to bring anything back we order coffee we drink the coffee and later on she brought the Creamer for the price. it was bad service and the food was not great.
Just did not have a good select of meats and never received any lamb chops
My party of 6 was seated with 7:30 reservations and were seated in about 15 minutes after being ask to wait in the bar (I know that game!). Our server, David, greeted us as asked if wanted drinks and how we liked our meat prepared....so far, so good. I asked for med well. Servers came around soon with skewers and most missed our table for whatever reason. About 30 minutes later I finally took a piece of chicken knowing it would be cooked. I told multiple people, including our server, that I was still waiting for med well beef. Between 8:15 and 8:30 ( an hour after seating!) our server finally brought over 1 small tray of their mashed potatoes and 2 pieces of plantains. After about an hour, I found a manager and complained. He brought me a skewer about 10 minutes later cook to my liking. He also said he would get some pieces of filet out to us which came 30-45 minutes later. Others in my group asked for the baby lamb chops which finally arrived at almost 9:30. The dining room was only about 2/3 full all evening so that can't be the excuse. EVERY person we spoke to offered to take care of our requests but, other that the 1 manager, none did anything. For whatever reason, our table was virtually ignored all evening while others near us seemed to be catered to. Our server even refused to get us clean plates after salads were finished. FYI..I'm NOT looking for compensation on a future visit because we will not return. This was not our 1st visit, but definately will be our last.
The service was great. Wish they served grilled pineapple.
There were multiple large parties so the meat attendants rarely came to our table. It was not worth the expense. The service was terrible. It was very disappointing. We frequent the restaurant a lot because it is our favorite. I’m not sure after this experience if we will return.
Love this place! The service is always amazing! The meat servers seemed extra generous tonight with the portions! Definitely going back!
Exceptional food and service
Definitely will return
We had a wonderful time. Everything was very good, the service was awesome, the restaurant was very clean. And as always, the food was amazing. You are our 3rd one to visit and have not been disappointed yet. Please come to the East side of Washington State and put one in the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Richland and Pasco), preferably in Kennewick. You'll not be disappointed.
I had a server drop meat into my lap. I would have expected an apology and reaction from management but I did not. When I asked for something to clean myself up with I was told that they did not have anything that I could use. I will not eat at or recommend the restaurant to anyone that I know. For the price I would expect more.
The food and ambiance was great but the service was just terrible no one hardly ever came to give us food and our waiter came to us about 3 times total. The service was so bad which put this rating so low.
We have been to this restaurant several times and this was not nearly as good as we expected. The food quality and quantity was very low. We had to ask for certain meat types and then when they were brought to the table it was the very end pieces of them. Lamb chops had to be “special ordered” and only cooked 4 at a time even though we had a table with 5 people. Kia, our server, was great but she had 8 tables! Very disappointed.
Service was bad! Did not pay attention to details... very few meats offered to our table... workers looked sad and tired... will not come back.. did not get my money’s worth!!
We have been there several times over the past few years, but went there for Christmas Eve Dinner..
First I was disappointed there was no Valet Parking at 5pm Christmas Eve? When LOTS of people are going out for a nice dinner? They were closed. (I've got a bad knee and back and cant walk distances...so I was in alot of pain after parking in the garage and walking back to the restaurant.
Second, Both daughter and I kept being served meat that was Rare..although we said we wanted Medium. At one point, we BOTH received BLEEDING RAW Chicken...and Under Done (Purple inside) Steak. Manager just happened to come to the table to see how things were, and we showed goin the meat, and he even stated meat should NEVER have been served like that. As I said, This wasn't our first time there, so we know what to expect...this was not it. It made it difficult to want ANY more chicken..which took away a good part of the menu. Food service slowed down about half way thru,
and eventually we just got tired and bored of waiting, and already being upset with the chicken, just made us want to give up and go. (Oh, the Manager gave us a free dessert for our Bloody / Raw Meat issue. Not sure if a $9 piece if cake makes up for getting raw food). We were NOT impressed this evening. So much for a Nice Christmas Eve Dinner.
- It was our first time and after we ate our salad we waited for 15 minutes before I asked the next table about the plates for the main course - we thought the waitress would bring the plates with no luck, so we got up and brought some back from the salad area. Some of the meats were cold and very salty. Not impressed at all.
Food was great but the service was extremely slow. Note they do not honor discounts when using gift cards and the remainder left on your gift card can not be used toward the tip.
I never thought I would say this about Texas de Brazil but the food was terrible. I have eaten at this and many other locations throughout the country. This is the first bad meal I have ever had at any of them. So maybe they were having a bad night. Every meat selection that was brought out of the kitchen, except for one, was over cooked and had zero flavor.
I have raved about this restaurant chain to others before this. Even when visiting other Brazilian Steakhouses I have mentioned how they didn't compare to Texas de Brazil. I can't say that any more. I recently ate at one of your competitors in SC and they had made a large step forward in their meat preperation from my first visit. Seems like the opposite is true with this restaurant. Or at least it was on this night.
To make matters worse the night we visited was Christmas Eve and I had purchased a $100 gift card to the restaurant for rhe friend I was with for Christmas. Rather embarrassing to say the least. Like myself he looks for Texas de Brazil wherever he travels. Hopefully he will be able to use his card at a different location.
I won't go so far as to say this is the last time we will dine at this location. However given the $100+ price tag of a meal for 2 people I will have to seriously consider whether I want to take a chance on this particular location again. Which is also something I never thought I would say about this chain.
Great food. Nothing special on the menu for the catholic folk that couldn’t eat meat which was unfortunate but okay. The worst part wa squeak o was told the lamb chops are by order only and they are going away next month for good. That stinks!
We will be back of course but will be missing those chops!
The food was good but the service was spotty. The servers missed our table many times and were not doing a great job cutting the meat. This is one of my favorite Brazilian places but the one in Richmond is far better.
Very good food. Clean facility. Little crowded but ok.
I wish it was not so dark in the dining area. Other than that, this place is top notch
Amazing service. Nonstop meats to our table the whole time and the meat was cooked just as we asked. This is definitely our favorite place to dine and our favorite location.
Went for a joint birthday celebration. Great place... I just wish there were more chicken and seafood options. Or maybe a few items to order for people who don't eat as much. But would definitely recommend to heavy meat eaters!
I've dined at this location on several occasions. I was disappointed in the hot bar. The food appeared to have been sitting for a while and did not look very good. When the waiter brought our cheesy bread and potatoes, both were cold. Not the usual quality for Texas de Brazil.
Graduation lunch. Food was delicious, everything was great.
Worst experience since I’ve been coming here. Usually I have no complaints, but this time was different. Service was SLOW, I know it was busy for a Saturday night but I couldn’t even get my drink. And when I did, it was the wrong one. I asked for chopsticks... they never came. We never got the mashed potatoes OR the bananas until I asked which was at the end. They came cold.. not sure I will be returning. Especially after paying $150 for the check.
I love going to this place. The waiters and waitresses are so wonderful. It doesn't matter how busy they are they are willing to help you anyway they can. The food is sooooo good. Love it.
