Steakhouse
Texas de Brazil is no ordinary steakhouse. It’s a dining experience like no other. Here, traditions of Brazilian cooking blend with Texas hospitality to create a lively atmosphere in an upscale setting. Your meal begins with a visit to our extravagant salad area where you can indulge in a wide array of seasonal roasted vegetables, fresh artisan breads, charcuterie, imported cheeses and other specialties. Then enjoy the rodizio-style dining that has made us famous. Food is a little salty for my personal taste. Saltiness can be offset by accompanying your food with many of the wonderful sides. Overall pretty good.

This was our best visit, we've been here several times. Our waiter was friendly and attentive but friendly meant the most, sometimes the waiter is uptight. And we don't order alcohol so I always feel an attitude when they find that out, but this waiter was nice. I wish we had his name so that I can tell you. But we were a party of 2 and sat in a table for 4 in the middle but near the window, very close to the salad bar. The reason I didn't give it a great value is because we barely eat from the salad bar and no way eat near a pound of meat LOL, more like maybe a 1/2 or 3/4 lb. So a $120 bill plus $25 tip - $155 for what we actually eat is hard to justify very often, otherwise we'd go more often. I do feel the salad bar should have a sweet treat on it, be it fruit or a simple dessert as an option. (and the whole "you can't get your coat, you need to consult the hostess" situation is unnecessary. We stood for so long because she was busy, we finally just got our coats ourselves and left.

Service was very slow. Restaurant is much much smaller than their old location on Ohio Street, only holds 1/3 the people, and is a bunch of narrow walkways.

Although the food quality was good, the variety was not as broad as their competitors. And again, you were constantly waiting for your waiter and the servers.

This is the first time I’ve ever been to a Brazilian steakhouse and did not have to turn the server coupon to stop. You turned it green and left it through the whole meal and still would sit there for long periods of time waiting.

This restaurant has lost its edge. I will go to their competitors from now on.

We were seated near the buffet. Server very nice but forgot the mash potatoes and cooked bananas until I asked about them. I found the beef to be overly salty. Lamb was excellent. Salad bar had a nice variety. I was given a free dessert because they ran out of my first dessert choice. Our companions enjoyed the meal.

Frequent visitor to this chain. Unfortunately the chicago location continues to disappoint. Meat not seasoned the same as other cities. Bartender service was awful. Long delays, incorrect drinks. Nice people. One of the owners apologized for the issues, but I’m learning to just skip this chain in chicago. Too bad.

We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time, at the table that was the absolute farthest from the kitchen. Consequently, we had to ask 5 different times for them to send more food over. I will never go back and advise others to stay away. Fogo is WAY better.

The restaurant was beautiful, but the service and food wasn't much to write home about. We were served 5 types of meat. One of the cuts of sirloin was extremely raw and inedible. The garlic parmesan chicken was so dry that you couldn't eat it. And the garlic steak was a low grade cut of steak and was so chewy that you couldn't chew it. It took our server forever to get us any type of refills on drinks. I understand Valentine's Day is a busy time for restaurants, but they had crammed tables in the walkways, making it difficult to walk to the salad bar. The table next to us had a larger party, and staff were catering to them, while we waited long periods of time to get service from our wait staff. When it came time for dessert, we were told that they only had a couple desserts and a bunch were not available. I highly doubt that we will be go back to this location for the amount it cost us for what we actually recieved.

Food was amazing but service was poor this time. Our waitress wasn't visible most of the night, didn't keep drinks refilled, and took her a half hour to come back with desert options. One manager did absolutely nothing about our complaint, but the other manager took great care of us! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Food was very good with just the right amount of seasoning, not too salty or overly seasoned where it leaves you craving for gallons of water. Ambience was ok, in terms of the location, and the decor; standard white cloth table, not much of a view but the setting was nice enough to still get that feeling of a nice Brazilian steak restaurant.
The salad bar was ok, but overall i would recommend Texas De Brasil...

Buen servicio. Buena comida. Pero pedí una mesa linda y me dieron la peor, según el capitán porque no tenían tan buen servicio en la parte de atrás. Cosa que habla mal del lugar. Pedí un cambio varias veces y me dejaban en espera.

We arrived ahead of our reservation time and still had to wait, although there were open tables. We were seated near the entrance and every time someone came in or went out, we and our food got cold; we finally requested to be reseated.

Came for Valentines Day. Arrived a little late and they still sat us. The different meats kept making their rounds. Pretty much everything I tasted was excellent. The mashed potatoes were sensational. The only thing was that second side. Wasn’t a fan of it. The prices were way less than I expected which is always a plus. Would highly recommend

Nice atmosphere, nice salad and soup bar, server was great . Visited the downtown location for Valentine’s Day not very impressed with the meats. We were seated in the back and it seemed as if the meat servers were catering more to the people who were seated in the front of the restaurant. We kept getting the same selection of meats that we had already tried. The meats were not seasoned well in my opinion. Fogo de Chao is much better!

My apologies but I really didn’t think it was worth the money. I’m use to fogo de chao. Whether it be lunch or dinner you can get all the meats from filet mignon to rack of lamb. Plus their salad bar is very big and a variety of vegetables to chose from along with soup. Also the salad bar as many different cold cuts to choose from with your salad as well as dressing. Over all Texas de Brazil for me and my wife was not worth the money and I couldn’t help but constantly apologize to here for the disappointing lunch that was provided by Texas de Brazil.

Celebrating my son’s birthday. We took advantage of the Restaurant Week offer you try the place. We had all tried other Brazilian Steakhouses and so we knew the concept. The starter “bar” had some great options... green beans and asparagus were nice and crisp, and the charcuterie items were a nice touch; chimichurri , roasted garlic, caper berries and mushrooms complemented the meats nicely. The lobster bisque was smooth and creamy. The meat offerings were very good. We chose to focus on the beef and also tried the leg of lamb. All very flavorful! Not much room for dessert but we dared the Brazilian cheesecake and Key Lime Pie for the table (4 of us.) the cheesecake here was a little above the pie , the nuts and caramel made it stand out. Coffees were strong and well roasted.
