nice staff although could be better, the atmosphere is nice in most places in the restaurant (in some places its shabby), the banana cake was very good
room temperature chewy flavorless stake, not so fresh salad, seasonings on food felt weird / forced (no love), the flan was not very good, room temp at 65 degrees, $170 for two
Our waiter was excellent. I had left my cell phone behind and he found us nearly 2 blocks away and returned it. Awesome!
We were in a rush and wanted to do Valentines Dinner and make the Ash Wednesday mass across the street. The service was wonderful, food was excellent! Thank you, Tequilas for being top notch and gracious in your accommodation!
The ambiance is very pleasant. The only menu available was set but the choices were excellent. However the giant prawns were overcooked (on both diners' plates), which detracted from an otherwise excellent dinner.
The regular menu should have been available despite it being Valentine's Day. A female friend and I (obviously not romantically involved) were forced to order from the prix fixe menu and were limited in what drinks we could also order as well.
While the food was good, I felt they should have a variety of mid-price range dishes to choose from. Maybe lunch might have that option. You basically have the option of a $30 plate. Decided to go with one of the steak dishes and a little disappointed the medium rare steak we ordered was over cooked. Flavor was great but I think a steak should be eaten with some pink in the middle. Our server and the host were very friendly and the restaurant has a great vibe. I might enjoy it more for appetizer's and drinks in the bar area.
Go there 3-4 times a year. Always great eats. Ceviche is our go to App. Servers are all knowledgeable and personable. The Jalapeno margarita will wake you up.
We really enjoyed how Tequila's updates Mexican standards and also has very inventive dishes. The bar menu went way beyond margaritas, but those were great, too. The Mexican Old Fashioned was a standout. Their salsas were very fresh, with just the right seasonings. I loved their raw oysters with chipotle sauce, cilantro, and avocado--you will forget you ever liked them with cocktail sauce! The fish with garlic sauce was light and flavorful, and they actually serve vegetables here (unlike a lot of Mexican restaurants). My husband and son enjoyed the tortilla soup with chicken (although it was a little heavy on the tortillas) and chicken dishes. The flan was nothing special, but the tres leches cake was a great way to end the meal. Oh, and our waiter was excellent with bar and food service.
Great dinner as always. Wonderful home made tortilla chips and guacamole, delicious fish in mango sauce. Warm vibe, friendly staff. A favorite for dinner with friends.
Decided to try this place at the last minute. It was a weeknight but we decided to request a reservation. Wasn’t necessary! I would think a weekend would be very busy, however. We were greeted graciously and seated right away. Lovely artwork and architectural features. The food was delicious! A little on the pricey side; most entrees were $25+. Comparable pricing for the area. They were very happy to accommodate a gluten free diet with many options.
