Taylor's Kitchen is a small upscale restaurant nestled between Sacramento's Land Park and Curtis Park neighborhoods. We have transitioned from full-service operations to take-out only for the time being. Chef Scott Macumber has fashioned a menu that is both budget and family friendly. Sommelier Keith Fergel has hand selected wines starting at only $10 a bottle. You can also bring a growler to fill with one of our rotating handles. We have also added Burger Madness Mondays to our offerings. For $10.99 each or 4 for $35 you can enjoy our freshly ground 1/3 pound smash burgers and house-cut french fries from 4-7 p.m.

I generally dine at Taylor's Kitchen a couple times a year. This time was for a special Mother's day Prix Fixe Menu in the nearing of the end of COVID-19 dinning. My mom hadn't eaten at Taylor's kitchen before. The menu was great, very good food and service. My mom loved it, which is what counts on Mother's day. I'm looking forward to the time when Taylor's Kitchen is open for regular dinner service in the post pandemic world.

We have been meaning to go here for many years. It did not disappoint. Phenom service. Food was amazing. Really enjoyed it. A little on the pricey side, but probably worth it. Will go back.

Always an amazing meal at Taylor's. Very consistent and perfect every time! I love that since they have a market next door you can pretty much ask for anything. I need to remember that, as I typically forget!! Can't wait to go back.

Our party of 6 adults and 2 children celebrated my husband's birthday here, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the entire experience. The service was exceptional, even though the dishes we ordered took a little time to prepare. We knew that meant the food was prepared just for us! We were seated in the perfect corner for a party with children, out of the way but not isolated from the rest of the restaurant. The menu changes regularly, so there is no need to comment on our specific dishes except to say we all enjoyed what we ordered, including appetizers, entrees, beer, wine, and desserts.

Six of us were in the dining party. We have been dining together for 35 years and have been to some of the best restaurants in Northern California. We all agreed that Taylor's Kitchen ranks in our top 5. Thank you for a most enjoyable evening and great food.

Excellent food, great wine list. Staff were friendly, quick, knowledgeable. The noise level got a bit obnoxious at several points as the place was packed.

Service was pretty slow and the chairs were pretty uncomfortable after sitting for over an hour waiting for the food, one of which was the cheese plate appetizer. The food was not bad, but was not impressed overall.

We ate at Taylor's on Valentine's evening and it was a per-determined menu e with a bottle of champagne. My wife does not eat red meat and they seamlessly substituted the steak for salmon. The other courses included a beets salad and brown butter sauteed Scallops. The dessert was equal to the rest of the meal, but it included a raspberry sherbet that was to die for. Unfortunately, not sold separately. I highly recommend this restaurant, the food is excellent as is the service, very efficient and attentive without being stuffy. They not giving the food away and they are very proud of their product, but is well worth the food and the experience. Ken Akins
