Taste of Belgium is a modern Belgian brasserie that fuses Belgian and American cuisines with locally sourced ingredients for both brunch and dinner. Taste of Belgium offers a carefully curated beer list featuring an unequaled selection of Belgian brews and craft cocktails to enhance every meal. In 2023, Jean-François Flechet, our founder, was honored with a knighthood by the prestigious Knighthood of the Brewer's Paddle, recognizing his dedication to Belgian brewing traditions. Our journey began in 2007 at Cincinnati's historic Findlay Market, where Jean-François introduced a traditional Liège-style waffle recipe and a 120-pound cast-iron waffle maker from Belgium. Since then, Taste of Belgium has expanded to seven full-service neighborhood brasseries across Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio. Food was prepared with fresh ingredients and prepared deliciously. The frites with sauces was a large appetizer for two. Our waitress was new but was very attentive without hovering. I enjoyed a crisp cold white wine which paired well with my Nicoise Salad.

Limited menu. Good location especially if you are going to Ensemble Theater of Cincinnati or Music Hall. Noise level is high. Service is inconsistent depending on your server. The Salmon, Bolognese, Fish and Mussels are all good. The waffles and crepes are excellent.

The location is very convenient for events at Ensemble Theater. The food is fine but the service was exceedingly slow. I think they may be understaffed.

Our table was tucked in the window, we loved it. All our food was delicious. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We will be back to try some other things on the menu. We were there for Sunday Brunch.
