Eveline was great. the food was decent and prime rib came out at room temperature. that took away from the prime rib taste in my opinion. also the prince charlie cut was slightly thicker than the tam I shanter cut so I do not recommend that.

The dinners last evening were certainly up to the standard we've come to expect at Tam Oshanter. But... there were so little gravy on the mashed potatoes and the roast turkey, we asked for an extra gravy boat, which must've held 2 tablespoons of gravy. We asked for two more, and we still ran out between the Yorkshire pudding, the brisket and the turkey.. not quite sure why they are so stingy. Service was completely off as his review indicated for some reason on January 3. They were very understaffed at 6:30 in the evening cocktails took 15 to 20 minutes. A long time to order and it was hard to get the server back for the gravy as servers were often absent in the dining room. The bus boys who brought the food and cleared, one was in T-shirt and jeans. One was so rude he turned his back on us and walked away halfway through a question and put the plates down as though we were in a school cafeteria. Feel they really need to work on staffing, training and not be so stingy with condiments. We really miss the Carvery station in the pub area that disappeared after Covid.

Beware this is not fine dining. It was a bucket list restaurant to try due to the history, but you'll get a better meal at Applebee's.

A delightful first experience! We’ve been meaning to check this place out for years. I knew the Lawrys Prime Rib would deliver, and the restaurant itself was a gem. Service was on point, thanks Tweedy! If I’m being hyper critical, the Moscow Mule and Yorkshire Pudding weren’t exceptional, but would probably get them again. I hope next time to have lunch at the bar, to see it from that side. 2025 has started nicely!

The best prime rib dinner we've had in like forever! Thick and juicy, medium rare was the best and not over salted or fatty. We had the creamed corn, spinach, mashed potatoes, gravy and the Yorkshire Pudding. We started with the wedge salad with roquefort dressing with big chunks of bacon. We had creme brûlée for dessert and the hot fudge sundae. We loved Tam O' Shanter and will return again to celebrate!!! The waiters were very observant and knew when we needed ice tea refills, attended to our needs and were friendly and respectful. Ambience was quiet, intimate, low key, we went there in the early afternoon so it was quiet. We definitely will go back and highly recommend this place with the best food, ambience, staff and plenty of parking.
