I was in this am @ 11 30 for brunch w/my friend who came in from out of town
Talulah's was my suggestion I wanted to try something different in center city
The place is beautiful both indoors & out.
We sat inside so we didn't have to wait for a table.
I had broken my foot, & got an end table.
Sitting 5 minutes, a waiter walked into the back of my chair & I told the waitress, we are going to have to move to the next table.
We did & ordered green iced tea, had no taste. No other iced tea. So I ordered a mimosa which was fine had it down the shore on a Sunday brunch for $4 less..but it was good so ok, I'll spend the extra bucks..
We both had the crab benedict $24 & our first few bites had a few little pieces of crab. Felt like I had eggs & spinach really low on crab & 2nd crab had NOT 1 piece of crab...on either of our orders.
Would not have said a word had the hostess not asked how everything was.
My friend had not 1 piec e of crab in her 2nd sandwich nor did I.
That's not right $24 for eggs & spinach..WOW!!!!!
Hostess brought over a little dish of crab meat.
But had she not, we would have none in 2 small sandwiches.....that's a colossal rip off & not right
I would never order that dish again....not in a big rush to return. And before we ordered, I thought this would be a lovely place to bring my daughter for her birthday.
Every employee we met was lovely from the bus boy, server, & hostess.
Disappointed in our selection...it should have come w/crabmeat like it said on the menu
& for 2 orders to have missing crab meat..no excuse...that is not nice.
I eat out several times a week...& really looked forward to the brunch of course, I was disappointed

Everything about Talula’s Garden is excellent. From its location on the beautiful Washington Square, to its unique ambience, to the outstanding food and service, I can’t say enough about this dining experience. We will definitely return someday soon. It is The place to go for a special occasion.
Beautiful night for a lovely dinner.
We sat outside under the trees. Every dish was sauced to perfection, including meatballs, seared scallops with lemon butter sauce and spaghetti with crab sauce. Fortunately we were not inside where the noise was literally deafening. The young waitress was charming and efficient.
Two friends and I arrived on time for our reservation yesterday. It had just started to rain, and the staff was scrambling to move the garden diners to the dining room. We stood at the desk for a few minutes, when the manager came over with glasses of Prosecco to apologize for our wait. We waited about 15 minutes more, but completely understood the delay, and were even happier when he sent a small amuse-bouche. When seated, the waitress was quick to bring menus and drinks. We ordered a delicious cheese tray, and main dishes were wonderful (duck breast, scallops, a pasta dish), followed by great desserts. We raved that it was our best restaurant dinner in ages. The attentive manager and waitress more than made up for the inconvenience of our seating delay. Kudos to Talula's !!
Service was impeccable, had the tasting menu so was there for almost three hours. Never did we feel rushed, or ignored. Food was just the right amount for tasting, and though not everything was my preference, my husband greatly enjoyed it. (It was his birthday, his choice of menu.)
LOVE dining at Talula's Garden! Started with the seasonal cheese platter which was delightful, and enough for 3 to share. The amuse bouche was a delightful morsel of cheese on flatbread with honey drizzle. The gougeres were perfect with melting butter as they were served. I had the roast duck with duck crepes...divine! Dessert was the pineapple tarte tartin which came with nuts and a coconut gelato that was swoon worthy. My dining partners enjoyed the meatball app, the scallops and the gnocchi. Since this was a birthday celebration, it was lovely surprise to have a birthday treat of blood orange jellies, complete with candle.
Love the food but cant stand the pretentious staff
Talula's Garden has been on my list of restaurants for a while. I am very pleased that I was finally able to go and that we had a great time. The cheeseboards are out of this world. Our server did a great job of figuring out which one would be most up our alley based on the cheese we normally enjoy. The cocktails were mixed to perfection as well. This is one of the first times we decided on a pasta dish for a mid-meal and it was the best decision we made; the ravioli with preserved lemon sauce was absolutely incredible. We will definitely be back, hopefully once the weather warms up and we can enjoy the ambience of the outside seating area!
We loved Talula’s Garden. We were there for our wedding anniversary and they really made us feel special. We had a delicious cheese plate. We followed that with a smoked trout Caesar. Entrees were steak and egg and the special pasta for that night. We had two sides as well. The lemon dessert and carrot cake were excellent. Service was impeccable. We will certainly return.
We had an excellent meal and the service was very good. The server was very welcoming and the manager came by twice to make sure we were taken care of. We will be back!
The waitress introduced herself to us twice , in the span of 2 minutes ... not sure if she forgot or if that was intentional , it was very strange.
Food we ordered was very tasty, however cold ...
At the end of our meal as we were drinking tea , one of the waiters came around to offer us the brioche which was offered to us at the beginning of the meal ?? He realized right away and walked away.
Ambience is nice , however service needs to be figured out . Food should not be served cold
Tables are very close together so whenever the waiters were with the other tables , their jackets would hang over onto our table
Highly recommend Talula’s Garden. Food and service was outstanding. We had the Chef’s table. It was excellent and well worth the cost. Can’t wait to go back!!
What a lovely Mother's Day brunch today. Perfect service, excellent cocktails, delicious french press coffee and amazing brunch food. Beyond what you'd think brunch could be. We'll be back soon to try dinner options.
I called earlier in the week hoping to change my reservation from 2 to 3 people and told they were booked but would call me back if they had any openings. Arrived at the restaurant, which was 1/3 empty, and remained that way for the entire time we were there, so our third guest was unable to join us for no apparent reason. The food was nothing special and it took forever to be greeted and get drinks. The food and service we received were not worth the money we spent. Talulah’s Garden was our tradition for Mother’s Day but we’ve already decided we’ll find a new spot next year.
Went for Mother's Day Brunch, service was exceptional and food was outstanding. The decor is lovely. This was a very enjoyable experience.
Still our favorite brunch spot. Everything is delicious. The service is top notch. Highly recommended!
Great customer service from the entire staff! Great layout and feel. Exceptionally prepared food. Do yourself a favor and get the carrot cake and doughnuts for dessert!! I will be back.
Wonderful restaurant all around. Only glitch this time was having to wait 20 minutes to be seated, with a 9:30 pm dinner reservation we were already very hungry. But small sampler plates were immediately brought to the table once we sat down, complimenrts of the house, and we had a nice time. A little noisy, but not too bad - we’ll just say “a festive atmosphere”!
Delicious food. Excellent service. Great consistent experience each time
The atmosphere is wonderful, the food was excellent, and the service was superb. Can’t wait to go back again.
Truly amazing in every way! From the ambiance to the cheese platters, drinks entrees, dessert and even fresh pressed coffee. All of it was stellar!
After all the hype we were somewhat disappointed with the meal and more so with the service which is probably the reason the meal disappointed. Food was brought out in quick succession without giving time to enjoy, waitress needed reminding to fill water glasses, and was very non-committal when asked about dishes and generally uninvolved. Asparagus soup and mushroom side were amazing; tuna crude overpowered by a sickly sweet sauce; short rib was ordinary
Everything was superb. Talula's never disappoints. The staff couldn't have been nicer. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city, with wonderful ambiance, whether you are outside on the lovely patio or inside at a table, or seated at the bar.
We sat outside, which helped with noise for sure. Host and table service could have been better; service at bar while waiting for rest of party was EXCELLENT.
I had heard it was a wonderful restaurant, and it truly is! I’ve gotten used to all of our regular choices and had a chance t try some place new. It is beautiful inside and out with it’s charming garden seating. We sat inside and again beautiful. All the food we had was creative and beautifully prepared. It wasn’t the least expensive meal we’ve ever had. But, honestly, I don’t mind the prices if the whole package is this good with wonderful service to boot! We’ll be back!
One of my Philly favorites. Best atmosphere in town, especially on a beautiful spring evening! The delicious food and great cocktails are a bonus. Best items on the menu now - mini meatballs, Dip & Crisps, Beef Short Ribs and Seared Scallops. Spatchcock Chicken is pretty amazing too and of course the cheese plates are fabulous! I highly recommend Talula’s - it’s special.
Incredible food and service! Atmosphere is charming and quiet.
Appreciate the few tastings for our Anniversary. Love coming here and will be back again!
Friendly helpful service, excellent food, lovely cheese selections
Beautifully presented, mouthwatering food. The parmesan asparagus soup was excellent. They split the portion into two and served ir in individual bowls. Very good service. Definitely returning.
Sunday brunch. We all loved the food and ambiance but thought it was a little odd that we had to wait at least 10 minutes even though we had a reservation.
Those deviled eggs were fantastic!! So were the French toast bites!
We ate brunch here on May 5th, 2019. The food was delicious - well presented. Service was very good. Talula's is a go to spot for Phila area foodies...so reservations can be tough, and they call you to make sure you're coming. Must have the French toasts bites as an app...unbelievable!
Early Mother’s Day
It was a wonderful experience. I was visiting Philly for a girls weekend and this was a perfect place for me and my friend to have brunch. Beautiful ambience, delicious food, and excellent service.
Spectacular culinary experience.!!!
Food flavor explosion with every bite...!!!
Spectacular short rib, duck, parmesan and asparagus soup and Italian meatballs. Excellent service.
Talula's Garden never disappoints me. It was a beautiful evening so we decided to eat outside. It was quiet and romantic. The food was outstanding and the waitress was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that appreciates fine dining.
