It was fantastic except it was a cold night and the heater near us was barely working, and the staff couldn’t offer any solutions. We didn’t stay long.
Our server was annoyed with us and was not very engaging. We asked for separate checks and she separated the bill incorrectly, but we didn't ask her to adjust it because we felt that that would make her more annoyed. The food was great, but having to eat outside in the cold took away from the experience. Other customers were offered blankets and we were not. We did not notice until we were eating our meal.
Great outdoor dining experience! Food was delicious and a special treat after so many meals at home.
Would go back in a heartbeat. So glad we were able to dine in before everything shut down again. Just lovely. Highly recommend.
Great place to take the wife:) Food is fantastic and the service is great.
Talulas is exceptionally sanitary
The food unusual and delicious
The wine excellent
We ate outside and they are doing everything to assure warmth and safety
Food was amazing and the service was quick but we didn’t feel rushed. Would absolutely go back. We had the salmon, ricotta raviolis, shaved brussels, frozé and chocolate molten cake. Two thumbs up.
Best short rib I've ever had. Hands down, LOL. Love this place!
I try not to eat out too many times a week, but Talula’s likes to claim every outing with ease. The ambiance, consistently refreshed menu and top tier service. Gratitude to the bar for an excellently prepared mojito, and to Vanessa for stellar service and making an impression. The new red wine glazed beef short rib is a must try!
Always special. Food and service are top notch, restaurant is so nice. I hope they survive aother Jim Kenny shutdown.
Food was really good. Sat outside with heaters in the garden. Pricey brunch but worth it!
Gorgeous atmosphere and wonderful food!
Have been wanting to visit Talula's for quite sometime and finally was able to go last Saturday night. The atmosphere, food and service was fantastic. We ordered the fig ricotta pizza, scallops and fried chicken. All were extremely flavorful and memorable.
A few items that stopped me from making all 5 Stars for our night were small but mighty and are as follows: 1) We wanted to sit outside and were placed up on the upper decking. There was only 1 heat lamp that sat about 5ft away and was to be used/shared for the 3 tables up top. The patio down below had tables each with their own heat lamp...some had 2 per table. It was chilly and having a lamp next to the table would have been more comfortable. 2) My husband ordered 2 vodka drinks and the tab just for those 2 drinks was $48. That shocked us a bit. 3) We ordered dessert to go to take back to our hotel room. We were sad to learn there weren't any serving utensils in the to go bag and we were unable to eat the ice cream and dessert (but saved us a few hundred calories I suppose lol)
We hope to return and will perhaps try the patio down below or inside. Thank you for a lovely night.
We had a wonderful outdoor dining experience. The service was exceptional. It was a nice fall night (not too cold) so we stayed toasty under the heat lamp.
This was my second brunch experience
Since the first
Inside seating has occurred
This has effected the smoothness of our experience
First I received a phone call prior to dining warning I might have to wait
We sat outside
This message in advance confused me
We reserved outside
Only one of us had our temperature taken
I might suggest adding a special omelette
I got what I ordered but it was somewhat tasteless
The service was fine
Our friends Bloody Mary s were inconsistent
For what we got this seemed quite expensive
Very covid-conscious, lovely aesthetic and delicious food!! Great experience
Food and service was excellent! We went for brunch and the entire party raved about each dish...we will be back!!!
From the moment we entered the ambiance was extremely magical. The food was fresh and extremely delightful and the service was impeccable and extremely knowledgeable and amicable. Will certainly be returning.
We felt very rushed. Although it was a late reservation of 9pm, it should not be offered if that is how the service will be. Food was mediocre, we had the tuna tartar which was beautiful but overpowered by the balsamic, where a little goes a long way. The mushroom pappardelle and Branson’s were both good, not exceptional and not poor. The apple tart we were not a fan of and barely touched, but the ice cream we scooped off the plate to give the apple crumble a chance, although the sever made no inquisition or comment. Overall it’s a beautiful atmosphere and the drinks were great, the service and mediocre food were the disappointment.
For the very special occasion, meeting or looking to make an impression.....ESPECIALLY FOR FOODIES! Best in the city. Certainly a treat, put it on your bucket list....it deserves to be there!
Even with the challenges of COVID, Talalus Garden provided us with a gracious evening. They protected themselves and us so thoughtfully, and were so warm and friendly. Fantastic food!
Very apparent they are super clean and following COVID guidelines. Because of the weather we sat inside and did not feel uncomfortable at all. Food was excellent. We had a small gliche with our gift card, but that was immediately remediated. Will definitely return again.
Enjoyed the patio on a clear warm night in November. Wonderful.
Talulas Garden is my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. Always enjoy the innovative food. Service was outstanding. Love the ambiance. A perfect night out!
As always, ambient garden atmosphere, professional staff, and every bite of food was more delicious than the last! We loved our server, Vanessa; and managers Colin and Lindsay.
Great as always!
Visit 6 weeks ago 5 stars carrot soup, tuna, chicken, salmon, and budino and service excellent and helpful.
Last night (Sunday) 5 star fig pizza, squash curry soup and potato side.
But Salmon entree was minimally warm, average taste and sunk into unremarkable and slightly warm mash potatoes.
Scallop entree was described to us as not spicy but my wife couldn’t eat because too spicy for her after 1 scallop. Left without eating entrees or ordering dessert. Unfortunate since usually top notch
The ambiance of the Garden was as perfect as can be. The great Reggae soundtrack filling the air on a perfect Sunday afternoon further enhanced the experience.
The food was exceptional and they are taking all possible safety precautions for COVID.
Great food! Didn’t realize we’d be seated inside and the ambiance is poor compared to outside.
The food was delicious, the garden was so pretty and charming, and the service was fantastic. I particularly appreciated the surprise mini dessert and candle at the end, as we were celebrating a birthday. We have been many times and can't wait to go back again. Thank you so much!
Lovely dinner and experience. Great food, service was perfect - willing to be flexible . Pumpkin ice cream is a must
Always wonderful service and excellent food. Felt very safe, the restaurant is taking great precautions to prevent the spread of COVID
Great ambiance, excellent service and staff fully masked and following all guidelines..can’t wait to go back..
Had an amazing experience at Talula's Garden. Staff was super friendly and the food was delicious as well as the cocktails! We all felt safe and comfortable dining there. We were seated on the street which was still very cute and nice to be facing Washington Square. HIGHLY recommend if you're trying to find ways to have some semblance of normalcy dining out again!
Feel like a regular
Outstanding Covid precautions. We dined indoors but felt as safe as it would have been outside, if not safer. Booths are separated with clear plastic barriers, and groups are not seated on top of each other. Wait staff is in masks and shields. We felt great about it, AND the food and drinks were of course fantastic. They even accommodated my pregnant friend with a mocktail similar to the cocktail that I ordered. And we received a special treat since it was my birthday. A truly wonderful experience.
Amazing food and service
Among the best in Philadelphia! Four of us ate out in the garden on a Friday evening in November at a carefully spaced table with our own propane heater. Their attention to safety, spacing, PPE and sanitizing between parties was impressive and comforting. Service, as always, was excellent -- our server was personable, friendly, knowledgeable and really attentive. And the food, as always, was off the charts. The fig pizza appetizer and the roasted beets side were special. Overall, it doesn't get any better than this! It was great to be back dining out in Philly again and we could not have felt any safer. Nice job!
Lovely dinner with my 17 and 20 year old. They loved the atmosphere and the menu.
Everything was fantastic
