Taheri's Mediterranean Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We find Taheri's to be a comfortable place with many very good menu choices and we dine there often. We particularly enjoy the soups, salads and vegetable lasagna. We can always count on great service from Velma. She is always friendly, professional and accommodating.
While this restaurant is a little out of the way, it is very nice inside, great service and very good food. The wine and beer list was also good. The only down point is that the portions were so big that we could not have an appetizer or dessert. We loved the complimentary rosemary bread- very delicious.
We made reservations for 12 to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Although the restaurant is not very large, we were accommodated comfortably. The service and attention were excellent and personal. The owner/stAff we’re ready for our party when we arrived and even come out to direct us to s parking place so my 79 year old mother wouldn’t have to walk far. The food was delicious. My mother was served a complimentary full size dessert to celebrate her special day.ill be going back to Taheri’s to try the lunch menu.
It was a delightful experience with a friend whom I have not seen for a month.
They graciously allowed us to sit and chat even after we finished our dinner.
Our dinner was very tasty. Taheri is known among us to be very consistent
Our waiter was very good, and also remembered our names and continued to address us by name. Both of us commented that. My name is not an easy one to remember.
One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. The lamb chops were exquisitely prepared and were succulent and tender. The appetizer of grilled eggplant was delicious with house made tomato sauce. Desert was a Mediterranean infused chocolate torte and was amazingly delicious. The server we had was gracious, made excellent recommendations, and accommodated our every request. All in all I would happily dine here again!
I've now eaten here twice in two weeks. The first time everything was very good. The second time the fish was a little too old. The service was great on both occasions.
They have indoor dinning along with an outdoor tented area.
Since it is close to the Pleasant Hill Bart, it makes for easy after work dinning.
This place always pleases. It is fairly small, and not crowded on Saturday evenings, when we usually go. Mediterranean Prawns is our favorite, so we probably miss ordering other good dishes. Parking is easy, but not obvious because you park in the garage shared by the hotel next door and other businesses.
We have been to Taheri's many times, and it always satisfies. Not much business on Saturdays, and you can usually get in and out easily within an hour. Parking is confusing the first time because you have to go in the parking garage that is just behind the restaurant. At least on weekends, there is no charge. I don't know if Taheri's validates at other times.
This is such a great little gem of a restaurant in an office building neighborhood. We were lucky enough to stumble upon this for a Business lunch and we were so glad we did. The staff was incredibly friendly and nice, and the food was just delicious. I imagine they have other things on the menu but I can never not have the halibut now. It's perfectly cooked and amazingly fresh.
We used to go to Taheri's regularly but for some reason haven't been there for several years. This is a nice, quiet, Mediterranean restaurant right next to Embassy Suites, Walnut Creek. Parking is free/validated in a garage. We returned last Saturday for a family dinner. The menu hasn't changed a bit - still amazing - pastas, kabobs, fresh fish, great salads, and excellent desserts. We tried a lot - The fettuccine with lobster was exceptional, Shish Ka Bob, Fresh salmon, raviolis, all good. Great Caesar salad. They had a chocolate/chocolate chip gelato that was paired with a scoop of vanilla that topped the evening off perfectly. Good espresso too. We missed you, Taheri, but will be back soon.
I was traveling for work -- staying in the 'burbs instead of my usual downtown SF, so was excited to find a nice Mediterranean restaurant within walking distance of my hotel. So disappointing. The chicken was dry and overcooked, seasoning was just so-so. There were very few people in this office park restaurant, so I have to think that they do a better job at lunchtime -- and draw a bigger crowd. I'd maybe try it again for lunch, but never for dinner.
This place hasn't changed in years; thank goodness! Always a pleasure to dine at Taheri's. The food is excellent, the staff are quick and friendly and we've never had a bad experience. They validate parking and are right next to a parking garage - never a worry about where to park. They do take reservations - be sure to make one if you plan to go Friday or Saturday night, or on a holiday, as the seating is limited. We've never been turned away, even when they are quite busy! Love this restaurant. A must try.
we have lived in the area for 20 years and have never been to this place, we were very pleased with out first experience. We had a difficult time trying to find the place and get into the correct parking garage but it was worth the search. The service was outstanding, our waiter was attentive and helpful with recommendations. The food was very good and reasonably priced compared to other wc Italian restaurants. Our starter salads were fresh and a decent size. The entrees were flavorful and made to order,. I had the Dungeness crab pasta with capers and extra tomatoes, it was delicious. There were plenty of vegetarian and fish options to choose from. The only disappointment was the paella, it had too much rice and not enough sauce and spices. We will definitely be back
Chicken kabab was a little tough. The lamb kabab was also not that tender. The sphaghettini was spicy if you like it that way. My daughter did not. One of the specials that day was trout and that was pretty good. Sauces and spices served with the entrees were good. Food was nothing to really rave about and service was very slow. The people there are really friendly though. If you are not in a rush, it will be a nice experience. They have pizza and a wood burning oven. There were 2 birthday parties there when we went so they can handle big groups. Young children were present as well. They do validate parking for 2 hours during the day. We went for dinner and parking was free. You do have to press the button to get a ticket to enter the parking structure but the exit is open.
It has been a long time since I have eaten at this restaurant, so I wasn't sure how well it had stood the test of time. This visit, we didn't have a great experience. My husband ordered the pork chop, and reported that it was quite dry. I had the albacore tuna salad, which was fine. My granddaughter unfortunately found a sizable cricket in her spinach, so that may have colored our experience as well. The restaurant gave us the tiramisu for dessert to make up for that unfortunate incident, and it was very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was good...fairly quiet, but not too quiet. There were several other guests enjoying their meals.
