Table is a small, seasonal, New American restaurant in the heart of downtown Asheville. A ever changing menu, created by Chef Jacob Sessoms and his seasoned team, is inspired by a wealth of American culinary traditions, paying particular homage to the cuisine of the South. The establishment has received many accolades as a farm-to-table, creative, service driven, urban minded restaurant with an interesting wine list and cocktails. Upon opening the doors in 2005, Table committed to supporting, celebrating, and showcasing regional and sustainable agriculture. Table fosters long-standing relationships with farmers and purveyors in Western NC and throughout the Southeast.

Went here as a suggestion from a local. Salad was perfect, pork chop schnitzel was delicious and swordfish was fresh. My only complaint was the baby glass pour of wine for 15.00.
Great service! Great food and wine! Be back soon!
The food was divine---creative and locally sourced. We will add Table to our short-list of must-try restaurants.
We were disappointed with the food and atmosphere. They were out of the only menu item that I was interested.
We were visiting Asheville and several people suggested we try Table. It has a cool vibe, a unique menu, and an eclectic wine list. The food was excellent! We loved it and will definitely visit again when we are back in Asheville.
The food was outstanding, service friendly but not intrusive.
The food was excellent. The server was very knowledgeable. We will be back often.
The food was great! The music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. We asked if they would turn it down however they did not.
the restaurant exceeded my expectations. the menu was unusual and outstanding. The owner of the restaurant was friendly and very enthusiastic about his restaurant as well as the food and wine. The server was helpful and very friendly.
LOVED going back to this wonderful restaurant! The service was wonderful, atmosphere was great!!! Thank you to all of the restaurant workers who do such a great job and have allowed us to get back to enjoying our evenings out.
A very interesting menu with appealing choices. Had the sweetbreads which were delicious, but the sauces was super-piquant. Made my mouth pucker. Also had the pasta with rabbit which was great tasting except for again being a bit overwrought with lemony flavor. If the chef eased back a notch or two on intensity of sauces, the food would be five star. The ambience is very simple, close to austere. Nice choice of fair-priced wines.
Food and service were great. The music was too loud. The acoustics aren’t great either so it made the loud music harder to tolerate. Also, playing rap music? Nothing against rap music but it’s quite specific genre and not good background music for dining.
Consistently great food & service.
Always great food. Checked my $125 bottle of wine later on Vivino...$26. Bit greedy on the markup.
Daughter getting Dr. job.
The food was not good! I ordered swordfish. The sauce was cold. My husband ordered pork shoulder it was sooo fatty
The server was odd and made things awkward throughout the entire dinner service. We ordered the steak for 2 and it was plenty of food for 2-3. The appetizers were mediocre, bread was frozen on the inside (not once but twice), but for visiting this area I would attempt to dine here again …. Maybe. Overall, the evening was enjoyable for Labor Day weekend.
Great service, interesting food.
Fantastic anniversary dinner. Service was top notch as was the food. We've loved Table for over 10 years and can't wait to go back.
Fun casual atmosphere with exceptional cuisine and friendly service.
Well was a little upset. It was our anniversary which we indicated on the reservation and told the server. Wasn't expecting anything, maybe a congrats or recognition. We could've gone 100 places. Good food good service. Will come back!
Michelin level food and great atmosphere. Noise level elevates significantly as the dining room becomes more crowded.
I'm not sure what the problem was, but our first and only visit to Table was terrible. It took 15 minutes for the waiter to show up to take our appetizer / drink order. 20 minutes later the host asked if we'd placed our dinner order and when we said no, he took it. We didn't feel we could ask questions and we didn't get any menu guidance. Our app arrived after 30 minutes and our entrees almost an hour and a half after we sat down. Every food item except for the bread tasted like lighter fuel. On top of it all, there was a large piece of plastic in my husband's food. More than one employee heard us mention that things weren't good and no one tried to find out what was wrong. One employee was steering another table away from the app we had ordered and when we commented that it was indeed bad, that person did not even acknowledge our comment. Table did comp our food but we left having to find dinner elsewhere. Do better, Table. That was a poor reflection on Asheville. Oh, and the music was horrendous and way too loud - for a bar it would've been bad - what decade is this?- for a reataurant, unacceptable.
Always a 10
The only bad thing was we sat at the bar and the sun was blaring in. Everyone at the bar INSIDE had to wear sunglasses. Hopefully they get retractable blinds at some point
Great service and experience. Love the outdoor seating. The only reason I gave the food a 4 was because it was really fatty (as in the steak). Otherwise we had a great experience and the new location is great. We live here and have always enjoyed their restaurant.
We had a wonderful experience as our waiter made the experience even better. Everything was delicious from the bread, tomato salad, pork, and homemade mushrooms pasta!
Just glad Table is back!
We searched for a good farm to table restaurant and were extremely happy. No issues. Great food.
Great restaurant!!! Fresh food!!! Taste wonderful!!!
Amazing place! I have so many food allergies that they gave me a menu that they modified specifically for me. I highly recommend.
The food was inventive and delicious. The noise level was uncomfortable, very loud. They need to install accoustical tiles for noise reduction.
Great service. Lazy food . One of our entrees was extremely over salted . Would not recommend.
Food was killer! The bread and cultured butter was, despite what a couple cheap knuckleheads said on OT, was perfect. I think 7 bucks for a house made loaf and butter is more than fair. Great sweetbreads and crudite with tahini green goddess! The polenta with oyster mushrooms would have been over the top with a little parmesan for sharpness/richness and more salt on everything. All in all the food and cocktails were great!
We did have an issue with the cramped dining room. The table next to us could hear everything we said to each other and vice and versa. It made for a few awkward moments. It was also too warm in the restaurant. Maybe that’s a turn and burn tactic to discourage camping? Well, it worked with my wife and I. We were going to order more food but the sweat dripping down my back killed my appetite. Overall it was a good effort from BOH and definitely FOH. Just wanted to be more comfortable.
A great re-iteration of one of ashevilles first epicurean restaurants. Jacob is keeping it real. First time this space has been cool since BoBos
Visiting Asheville for a wedding a a “foodie” friend recommended Table. It was excellent and did not disappoint! Fun evening with friends!
Table impressed us from top to bottom. Food was excellent and well prepared. Fresh, creative, thoughtful dishes from every course. Will definitely be returning.
Excellent! Really enjoyed the food, service and ambiance.
The restaurant was extremely overcrowded A couple was seated within 18 inches of us. When I asked the hostess about social distancing she said there was only a mask mandate
The food was over priced. A small loaf of bread was 7 dollars. A steak was ordered and was served in a bowl and extremely tough.
How this place complies with fire and COVID health codes is a mystery.
Had tomato salad, bread, pasta. All very flavorful and delicious. Price a bit high—$17 for tomato salad plus $7 for some
Bread to go with. But very very tasty. I’d come back for sure. It was a little loud inside— music too noisy.
