   The berry salad is very large and plenty for two people. It’s wonderful. Our filets were perfect and some of the best filets we’ve ever had. “Must” sides; creamed corn, and au gratin potatoes. Delish creme’ brûlée!

   The 8oz filet I ordered medium was prepared medium well, and almost well done. The mashed potato side wasn't very warm, and I suspect our meals sat around a bit before being delivered. The beet salad was great.

   We had early dinner reservations and were given a choice on indoor or outdoor seating. We chose outside. The weather was pleasant but the sound from other tables seemed amplified. Service was good but nothing exceptional. Food was well prepared and the portions were generous. We did have a problem with a tough steak but it was handled quickly and very professionally. Overall it was a good experience. I do recommend.

    Great alternative to all the park TexMex and bar food places. Excellent service. Wonderful modern/rustic facility and a chef that was more than expected. A little pricey as you might expect but not unreasonable. Highly recommend!

    The hostess was great and funny. The food was quite good, especially the NY steak, Salmon, and Halibut. The 18 oz Ribeye at $82 was just ok and not a great value. The biggest surprise was that every cocktail is 1.5 oz of alcohol. Even a martini!! It looked like a thimble. Highly recommend they change the pours......wine was small pour as well. There is plenty of margin to cover this. Big turn off factor.

    Service could have been a lot better. Our server was not very outgoing like the other servers around us. He forgot a few things and by the time he brought them around we were basically already done with what we were eating. The filet was delicious and packed with flavor, we got our mixed veggies steamed and they had no flavor, when they brought the food out they said “no seasoning, no butter” not sure why but instead of grilled we asked for them to be steamed and I guess you don’t get seasoning with that. The rest of the meal was delicious. The baked potato was huge and the bread service was good. The bar menu is crappy if you can’t have alcohol, I asked for a mock tail and they couldn’t do it, asked for virgin pina colda or virgin strawberry daiquiri and they couldn’t make it.

    We shared the beet salad and it tasted delicious and was presented beautifully. My wife and I both had salmon on a potato pancake topped with spinach. Again, wonderful. For desert we shared the creme brulee. Terrific! BTW, we are former restaurant owners of similar food, for what it is worth.

    We went to a steakhouse and enjoyed great steaks. The steaks were cooked very well and the sauces we had tasted great to compliment them. The sides were lackluster: steamed broccoli was undercooked and had no seasoning, the roasted potatoes were overcooked - a fork struggled to pierce them. Wine selection was good as well

    Really nice airy room with great views. Food was exceptional good - salads, steak, salmon. It is expensive even given that. I marked down the service - Ben, our waiter was attentive but there were a couple of quibbles: removing my partner’s finished entree while I was still eating, presenting the bill while still on my dessert

    The food is really good. We didn't like that most of the food said MP and everything was separate pricing for sides and even bread. It's a bit of a pretentious environment bit the server was friendly. Their wine room could use some lower lighting. Way too bright in there. It was odd for a wine room.

    Both our steaks super over cooked. For $85 and $65 for our steaks, cooking to temp is a minimum requirement for a steakhouse. What was requested rare was medium and my medium rare was medium well. I feel ripped off. Service was nice but doesn’t make up for it unfortunately. Server offered us free dessert…thanks but no thanks.

    Staff was pleasant but ineffective for service it seemed short staffed. One of our dinners, halibut, was very good. Other dinner, seared ahi and shrimp was not The appetizer was good but odd and one salad a wedge was good but Caesar salad was poor. Overall a meh experience and not a good value.     We live in the St. George area and drove 50 min for this evening. We booked the reservation for a booth and that it was for a birthday, but unfortunately when we were seated we did not receive a booth, nor did the hostess or wait staff ask or if we were celebrating anything special; which is pretty standard in a 'fine dining' restaurant. We did finally get moved to a booth, which was perfect. The Burrata did not appear like the photos other diners submitted online and was underwhelming. Only a few tomatoes and mostly pesto/pine nuts. My husband did LOVE the bacon appetizer we also ordered. We each ordered a petite fillet and a side of creamed spinach and potatoes au gratin. Our steaks came out and looked remarkably different and my husband's steak was very undercooked, while mine was almost overcooked. For the market price of the fillet, I would not recommend this steak. I felt I should have loved it, and it was just OK. The side dishes were very good, and I really liked the creamed spinach. The worst part of our evening was the service - it is unusual for a waiter to walk by without acknowledging the table and we waited a very long time for a box and for the check. For an appetizer and entrée the evening should not have taken 2 hours. TWO HOURS. Usually we share a dessert, especially since this was a special occasion evening, but we were done and ready to leave. If only our waiter would come to the table..... This place has such potential - LOVE the ambiance and the scenery. But the food and service fell short.

    We are visiting..we started out with our waiter very good Ordered 2 martinis $12.50 each .. glass not even half full! Cmon restaurants make a ton of profit on drinks….charge me 2 more bucks and fill the glass! Shrimp Cocktail ok 5 shrimp Sauce needs more zip Husband ordered the half chicken. Was good n juicy Tasty…Lots of potatoes n veggies I had petite filet MR..cooked well very tasty Creamed Spinach ..a hearty portion.. Good ..sauce could be a bit creamier Never got to the dessert menu…waited and waited for waiter to bring it to the table Just asked for our bill paid and left I agree with others that have commented…..good but way overpriced J

    The Switchback is our favorite place to celebrate special occasions, and we were there to celebrate my husbands birthday! Bacon wrapped scallops, shared Cesar salad, perfectly tender and seasoned filets, with mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes on the side! Best steaks around!     It was a delightful evening. This is, no doubt, the best restaurant, overall, in Springdale. The food was wonderful, beautifully presented, great service, lovely ambiance and very reasonable prices. I would whole-heartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
