ambiance is very nice, food was so-so. my fish was cold and flavorless. Risotto was a bit undercooked and crunchy. Food was not what i expected.

Very nice atmosphere however, all our dinners were served not hot. We only sent one back for a re-heat. Other patrons near us also had difficulties. They were very apologetic and only comped us one dessert and two coffees which tasted very good. ..just thought that was a little tacky since there was four guests. Pan Fried Scallops was only real hit entre out of the four our party had. The venue looks like a first class place so we did expect more. Maybe they had a problem in the kitchen, I am not sure.

Great destination spot by Zion, didn’t expect to find such a well thought out location with such quality food and ambience. The food was fresh and taste was fabulous. The service was timed just right and the maître d was very friendly and funny as we where there on Holloween for my wives Birthday and the manager was dressed as a Blind Referee and gave us a good laugh. I think all the money you could spend on advertising will not be wasted.
Thank You for a great Birthday dinner for my wife and myself hope to see you again.

S..L..O...W.... service. Server never asked if we wanted a second drink. Food overpriced . For a steakhouse, it is unacceptable to be out of mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, fingerling potatoes, any potatoes at 7:45pm.

We ordered 2 gin martinis ....it was a special night, my husband's birthday & the martinis they brought were only half full!
We asked our server Rosemary about that and she gave some bogus answer about how the law in Utah says you can only serve one oz of gin. So we asked her to bring another one for my husband and it didn't come for 1 hour!

We ordered two filet mignon steaks for $46.00 each, and mine was supposed to be medium but there was hardly any red left in the middle of it all. I brought it to Rosemary's attention and she argued with me saying that no ,she thought it was okay. She told me to cut the steak again in a different area and look at that. Slow and bad service. it was hard too, with a Filipino server because of the language barrier.
Maybe our expectations were too high because we had been told it was the best steaks in town

We showed up on time, dressed nicely. Asked for a table by the window. There were 5 available. He said no. I'm sorry, they are all reserved for a wedding party. We ate there anyway. The only thing I can say is the service was outstanding. The management there did not seem to like tourist business. When we left, there were still empty tables next to the window. Again, the restaurant across the street has better food, better prices and the management there appreciates tourist business.

The service from the wait staff was excellent. The food was "fast food Mexican", they appear to serve the masses. The Hostess was not friendly, in fact, it seemed like she would have preferred that no one enter the establishment to eat or drink.

The wait staff while working through an unexpected staffing shortage still gave us great service. Yes dinner was a bit late but the quality of the food made up for the short delay. We were travel weary and this night out revived us to good spirits. By all means dine here when visiting

Wasn’t impressed. Beef was good, but was expensive. Value was on the seafood entrees which were great. Service was slow and staff was complaining how they’d been slammed because of high influx due to rainy weekend - not sure why I need to hear about nor be empathetic to my server’s woes...

This restaurant needs a serious management overhaul. This is not a large restaurant. There looked to be enough staff. The hostess was horribly flustered and really quite unprofessional. It took her forever to take people to their tables and the line stacked up. Finally waiters came out to see what was going on. She was turning people AWAY and there were many empty tables. From the moment we arrived it took 50 minutes to get any drinks. No bartender? And they didn't even come out together - he had to go NEXT DOOR to get something was the response. The waiter was pretty good but the service was just so erratic. The table next to us waited so long they started watching a movie on their phone. Food was ok - nothing special - a steak house should be offering better accompaniments for their meats. The kitchen, viewed though glass windows should be cleaner.

The Switchback Grille is an excellent place to go to after a day at the park and a day of activity. Here you can relax and have an excellent meal accompanied by an excellent wine selection. Both our New Your Strip and Filet Mignon were cooked to perfection and excellent. The service was attentive and exceeded expectations. The ambience here is a delight.

This was the most bizarre dining experience my husband and I have ever had. My low review score is reflective of the horrible service we received the evening we dined there with our server, Amber. We had a reservation for 7:45 and were seated immediately. We sat at the table unacknowledged for 15 MINUTES, the server had walked by multiple times but was almost avoiding eye contact and instead of saying something like 'I'll be with you folks shortly' finally came up to us at 8PM, and instead of introducing herself, telling us about the specials etc., simply said 'I can put all your order in, do you know what you want...did you read the specials?' It was SO bizarre. For the price this place charges per entree I expect a level of service to reflect that and clearly they need some training. This is by no means a fancy or 5 star experience. We placed our order, and food arrived in a timely fashion but our server barely checked on us the rest of the night, not sure if they were understaffed or what. Either way, it's not an excuse for a poor customer experience. I was most disappointed though, that I had noted on our reservation we were there celebrating my husband's birthday that night and there was 0 mention of it the entire evening, like they hadn't even bothered to look at the reservation. This is an overpriced meal paired with terrible service. Nothing more. I would not recommend, locals recommended Bit and Spur, Oscars, and a few other local places we had much better experiences with the rest of the trip. Overall really disappointing. Service is key.

Great location . Glorious views as you expect in Zion
Service was good . Would advise you book as it was busy.
I had sword fush. A weird choice I know given distance from the sea but it was fresh and tasted fantastic.
Local beer was good too.
Interesting salads made a great meal.
Very pricey. But not surprising given where it is

The ambiance was very comforting offering an outside view of their garden and a mountain face. Our server was very informative and friendly. The food was well prepared, tasty and well portioned. Highly recommended.

The view was amazing! The food was good. Not great. For the pricing, we expected great. One meal was sent back 3 times to get the meat to the right temp and manager ended up comping it. but without apology. Everything is a la carte so i feel the $$ should have been higher.

Fried Calamari soft, not crispy. Not really good. First T-Bone steak, l ordered rare has been served „well done“. The served another one within one minute with a big cut, I‘m sure they served it to another guest before, maybe they ordered their steak „well done“. The steak, to be honest, was good.
We did not order a desert and left this (not hot) spot. Will not visit again.

Great ambiance. We got a window seat with a fantastic view. The food was delicious. A bit pricey, but expected for the area. You can watch the chef put the finishing touches on each dish from the lobby area. Overall, we had a nice romantic experience.

This restaurant was overpriced for the quality. The steaks were good, but not as good as they should be after a month of aging. The cocktails were average at best. Only stays in business from limited options in town.

We've been to Zion 10 times and going to Switchback is a family tradition every year! After the majestic Narrows... perfect end to the day!

Great food, nice folks! Choose it cause it was close to our hotel, but we sure are glad we did! The bread and balsamic starter was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection, the spaghetti and buffalo was a hit for my nine year old son. My husband had the pork chops which was the cut of the day and he really enjoyed it except that the bacon was burnt on one side which left a bad taste in his mouth so he pushed it off to the side. If we lived in the area we would return.

Switchback is the reason we go on an overnight to Springdale. My husband and I do a date night for this amazing food and Springdales beauty. It is our favorite place to eat within 1,000 miles from home. Derek, The Manager always takes great care of us. We have always enjoyed our friendly staff. One of us if not both, try the specials, have an appitizer, salad and dessert, it is truly that delicious!
