If you’re looking for a nice upscale restaurant while in Zion, this is the place. Great food, great service and lovely ambiance. I would highly recommend the Chilean Bass. It was amazing!

Excellent ambiance, comfortable setting. Very good menu with excellent choices of fresh fish and meat. All were well prepared and elegantly plated. Excellent professional service and a good and large wine list.

Great location and service! Food was good, but not great, especially for the price. I got the filet and my wife got the stuffed chicken. Would go there again but probably get something else, like the crown rack of ribs.

In my opinion, the Switchback Grille is, by far, the most significant restaurant in Southwest Utah! It’s food preparation is surprising sophisticated for a small town venue. It could easily be successful in a large metropolitan area.

While their steaks are terrific, their seafood is surprisingly good considering it’s location far from the source.

The furnishings of the restaurant are a treat in themselves. It’s difficult to find such amazing Native American rugs even in museums!

The prices they charge are more expensive than the other restaurants in Springdale, but what the serve you is well worth the price they charge.

I had the house filet mignon. It was cooked to perfection, as was the ribeye. Both were DELICIOUS. The ribs were GREAT! When you come, order the potatoes au gratin as a side to your entrée (their menu is entirely ala carte). They are AMAZING!

Fantastic meal, pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food was. It’s seems like it’s usually difficult to find really good food in tourist gateway towns but this steakhouse is top notch. Amazing steak and the ribs were a creation all in their own (order them and you’ll see for yourself) Great ambiance and excellent service too. We defiantly will be back the next time we’re in Springdale.

Cocktails were awful, food was either very bland or very fishy (had the trout). If you go, order wine and stick to something simple that they can’t ruin for you. Meal was $150, our $20 Taco Bell meal the next day was incredibly superior.

The food here is very delicious, for the price it was a little upsetting we never got bread at our table because they claimed it was still frozen, weird.. with that being said the food was so great I’d def go back!

I wish there was a higher rating than 5! This restaurant was by far the best food, service and experience we had our entire trip! I cannot say enough about the entire experience, from making the reservation thru their website through the dessert. We were greeted cheerfully, served attentively,
food that was incredible, and as we left, felt like we had done them a favor for coming instead of us being thankful for such a wonderful evening! Do not skip this place!

This is probably the best Restaurant anywhere near Zion National Park. The food is much better than you can find in many of the big cities. The staff is very professional and helpful. And the building's design perfectly reflects the Western USA

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone without qualification and hopefully you will eat here.

Very much enjoyed dining at Switchback Grill. For those staying is Zion National Park and wanting an upscale dining experience, Switchback Grill is a must.

The only reason for dropping the “service” rating is because we had asked for our choice of wine to be served with our meal. Food was served without wine or any mention of when it would be delivered. We had to ask for our wine after we had begun eating. Had our server mentioned the wine when the meal was served it would have been better. Since no mention was made we felt the need to ask. We were told it was being poured.

Don’t let this minor slip deter your dining decision. The overall experience was outstanding.

Not impressed with this place. We had Sea Bass and a large Filet. The fish was a generous cut and flavor was Ok, but the bed of rice was oddly flavored with coconut and a lot of it - this wasn't a bad dish, just odd. The 'house cut' filet steak was almost $50 if I recall correctly and I had to work hard to cut my share (wife and I shared both) with the table knife. I expect a better cut for that price. It was also served under, but we didn't complain. We might have been a little annoyed to kick it off as the host "manager" spent what seemed like 10 mins on the computer without even acknowledging those of
us standing there (w/reservations). The best place in town should also have solid entry service IMO. "Hi there, welcome to ______, I'll be right with you" is all I need. We brought our own wine and still managed to incur a $175 bill. The next night we ate at the bar next door and spent 1/3 that and felt like we received much better value. Needs a little work to keep the top spot in Zion.

When our dinner was brought out, the server asked me to cut into my steak to show that it was cooked as ordered. It was raw and I sent it back. I thought I’d start in on the sides, which were cold. After 15 minutes and everyone else in my party had finished their food, my steak came back out.

They sell these things called food thermometers. Perhaps this restaurant should invest in one before serving another steak.

The moment we walked in. I made a reservation that afternoon for our dinner that night and while we were dining made a reservation for the next night as well! The service was quick and friendly. The meals were incredible- steaks and meatloaf did not disappoint. The family style sides were perfect for our family of 3. Very relaxing and what we needed after hiking all day!

Great food and service. Very impressed with food presentation. Tables adequately spaced. I was very satisfied with my NY strip steak, my son enjoyed his river trout, daughter loved her tiger prawns, and my wife enjoyed her bacon wrapped meatloaf. Not inexpensive but worth it.

My g/f and I stopped in here for dinner after just getting into town and although it was expensive it was completely worth it! First thing I will say is make a reservation as it does get busy and the other thing is the place isn't cheap. That being said, the place screams high end when you walk in with its very Western decor and feel. Our server immediately came up to the table to get our drink orders and then to bring out their freshly made bread which was fantastic. Our steaks were divine and the sides were amazing although the portion sizes on sides were enough for 2 people. Just a great dining experience when you want to splurge a little.

I had high hopes going into this meal based on their menu and other reviews I read. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience. I ordered the sea bass, which was pretty good. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye steak. Even cutting into the steak took several attempts and to chew it down took even longer because it was so tough. Not a great cut whatsoever. We ended up saying something to our server who offered to send it back and either replace it with another ribeye or choose a different meal. He ordered the salmon instead and kept the original sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes that came with the steak. Eventually the salmon came out, which was good but I had already finished my meal by this point so we didn’t even get to eat together at the same time. Then when the check came, she mentioned she had comped the ribeye. However, we then noticed she comped the ribeye but still charged us $6 each for the mashed potatoes and broccoli, so $12 total just for the sides. It just seemed like an unnecessary charge considering the inconvenience and disappointment of having to send the steak back and then we didn’t even enjoy our meals at the same time. Ambience was nice but after all that, it just wasn’t worth the price point.
