First impression, the host was not welcoming at all when we first walked up. She sat us at a small table that with a sticky table top. Again, no real welcome or customer service present with her. Definitely not a southern hospitality feel. However, the server, Edmond, was very welcoming, gave us lots of great recommendations and was very thorough even going to the kitchen when we asked what the special butter for the biscuits was. He wanted to make sure he gave us the right name. He had great customer service. But overall, the ambience, and I guess the first impression, sticky tables etc was disappointing. Will not return.

The food wasn’t hot, hamburger & hot dog buns were hard. The desserts were good.

I guess I was expecting more of a semi private dining experience. It was loud and very open. My table was located at the entrance very loud. The food was above average. I had been given a Marriott gift card from my kids. I was told from a different Marriott property that I could use it at this restaurant, only to find out the Lodge is a Marriott property but apparently the restaurant is not. That was disappointing. Would not accept my gift card . Overall not a great experience. My waitress was exceptional though.

The white bean and kale soup was spectacular! The wedge salad was so so. The dressing was thick with little flavor. My husband has a burger that was very good. Fries were very fresh. Service was attentive.

This was my first time at Sweet Tea and Barley. My sister and I met there with our husbands. It took us an hour to get there each and it was well worth it. The place was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. We’ve decided we are going to make this a yearly meeting place.

Had lunch here with my daughter to celebrate her birthday. The service was relaxed but impeccable, the food served hot and delicious, and the quiet, elegant setting was perfect for conversation. We'll definitely be back!
