About
Welcoming, unassuming sushi place with creative specials and a good selection of sakes. the miso soup was delicious, and the maitake mushroom tempura tasty but a bit greasy. they were out of a couple of specials, including the uni, which was disappointing, there were bones in two pieces of sashimi, and a couple of things on the sashimi dinner seemed not that fresh, which isn't something you want in sashimi. But, it was a Tuesday, so, not the best day to go for sushi, and most of it was very good. Overall, I would go back, but not on a Tuesday, would pick a better night for fish.
Our server - Juliet - was awesome! Food outstanding too!
Food was great, service was slow because of the number of events the night we went. They did get us out on time.
A favorite for sushi. We are regulars. The food is very fresh
Normally good service was a bit off tonight but the food was good, as usual.
The best sushi in town! The food was delicious and served promptly. I’d say a little on the pricier side, but worth it!
We came in from out of town for a concert and tried this place. It was a bizarre atmosphere. There was house music playing and the Andy Griffith show on the tv’s. Really weird. We ordered sushi and one of my rolls was fried. When it came out it looked like it had been fried in old oil and was almost burnt. There was actual oil dripping off the piece I ate. Also we were sitting right by the sushi bar and they were laying tickets that were being handled by multiple people directly on the sushi. Not sanitary at all. The drinks were just ok. The service was fine, but we’ll try another place next time we’re in town.
Great food. Quick service. We were greeted by every employee as we arrived and were seated. Very pleased!
Delicious food and excellent. My wife and I will definitely return in the future.
The service was good but the sushi wasn’t spectacular and was pricey. The atmosphere was nice but there are others that are better. Our waitress didn’t speak good English so getting questions answered was difficult
Good sushi from very picky eaters!! Service is great.
Fabulous. I lived in Japan for 3 years and never disappointed with their authentic choices.
There were many creative rolls but felt a little over the top and too many fried options. Overall, everything we had was delicious though. We loved the Flower Hurasaki (sp?) rolls. Delicious. This is not an easy or safe GF spot. It can be done, but is very limited. We would recommend it to friends without food sensitivities.
Our fav sushi spot in Greenville. Food is very fresh and authentic. Max the owner is delightful and service is terrific. Top notch choice anytime
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the restaurant. They had GREAT service, and excellent food!
We went for a date night on a Saturday. The service was wonderful. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and she was able to make some yummy suggestions. The food was fresh and I loved the rolls and nigiri. The restaurant is very clean, nicely decorated, and the music fit the atmosphere. We will definitely return.
The food was great...the appa, rolls, hinachi were superb! The waiter was quite knowledgeable and the Birthday greetings and fried cheesecake were wonderful!!!! We brought friends from out of town and cannotwait to return on our own. Excellent experience!!!!!
Great dinner as always! Everyone enjoyed it!
My family and I decided to try Sushi Go for the first time recently. We're all sushi lovers and were really excited. The food was excellent, the service was wonderful and friendly, and we had a really nice evening.
I have lived in Tokyo for over 10 years, so I can assure you this is the best sushi in town. The fish is so fresh, it practically melts in your mouth. It is soooo good. I can’t speak for the ramen, yakitori etc as we only go for the nigiri and sashimi. Highly recommend
Sushi GO has high quality, authentic Japanese cuisine at the best prices in Greenville. This is the hole in the wall you want be in on.
Everything was awesome except the music. We would have liked to have Japanese music.
Sushi was creative and fresh. Don't worry with the Nigiri, though. It's very thin with hardly any rice under it. The rolls and appetizers, though, are well-portioned and very good. We will definitely go back.
First the location is down town and parking is a pain for sure. Second. I booked this reservation on this site where it claimed there were only a few openings for seating, when in fact the restaurant was 80% empty.
Now the service was terrible. I observed and overheard two separate customers complaints about poor service. At one point when I mentioned to my waitress that she’s seems to be having a tough night. She said, “try working for a Japanese Boss”.
This restaurant had great reviews but I found it to be mismanaged and average at best for a sushi restaurant. The food was ok but nothing special.
The owner needs to fire himself!
Second time we have visited. Food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. You want sushi downtown Greenville this is the place to go
Best sushi in greenville hands down! Get bar selection as well, friendly staff. I absolutely love it!
Amazing. Best sushi in Greenville.
The food was the best I ever remember it being. Although there were only 4 mussels in the dish, they were the best I have ever had, with a great sweet and spicy taste. The other sushi was also very good as we have come to expect, because it was mostly what we usually order.
SUSHI GO provides very good food with excellent service. Now my third visit and I have yet to be disappointed. Not a place to go for the chic, lively ambiance – go for the food and service.
Amazing!! I recently started keto and was afraid I may not find any good options. I was wrong. They made some great suggestions and nothing disappointed. The service from the wait staff and the sushi chef were great! I will be back!
The food is always good here. I don't think I've had a bad roll. We like the location, the price, the service and the food.
The food was good and waitress was very kind! Service was a little slow at the end, but thankfully the restaurant wasn't crowded, and we were in no rush. Sushi is always kind of pricey, so that was no exception, but we were going there for a special occasion and the taste was good! They brought out ice cream for everyone at the end for birthdays we were celebrating, which I wasn't expecting when I made the reservation. We got to sit in a small back room that was cozy and quiet.
Excellent quality and variety. Attentive , professional and friendly staff.
My new favorite sushi restaurant! Tried 5 different rolls. All very good. Two in our crowd had stir fry. Both liked and would order again. Waitress knew wine and food menu and assisted with ordering. You should try it!
The food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. My husband and I had drinks, an appetizer and shared some sushi rolls. Everything was very fresh. We will definitely being going back.
The sushi here is possibly Greenville's best. We'll go back to gather more data. XD
One of the best sushi dishes i’ve ever had. Udon was bland, no flavor, no spice. Wife’s sushi had a 10+ inch hair in it (disgusting).
Best sushi I have had in a long time. Sushi had unique and thoughtful flavor combinations. So fresh tasting and well seasoned. Service was great as well. Love the hot towels too. Very enjoyable experience. Will definitely be back!
Super fresh fish for sushi. Thankful they don’t drown every roll in sauce - I want to taste the ingredients! Ask for Juliet, she knows her way around the menu well! We loved all her recommendations.
Our very favorite sushi spot. Top notch. Food and service are excellent. Fine dining, not quickly Japanese
