BOGO sushi rolls special ALL DAY EVERYDAY
Very good! Heaters running so mostly comfortable. Food was great
Food is good, great location for a date. We had reservations but they only had outside seating, which is rough for a January night. They had heaters so that helped. Will definitely come back.
Great quality sushi with some interesting specialty rolls.
Very good food with nice outside seating area - service was a little slow
Food was very good. Ginger Salad requires extra dressing. Bar was out of many beers. Ambiance was nice. Had sushi and sashimi. Would recommend .
Best sushi in town!
Sushi blues is my favorite sushi restaurant in town, however Fridays diner was meh. The mojito I ordered tastes nothing like It usually down and the sushi was ok. The servers were good just not happy with the food and drinks.
Sushi were a lot soggy with no fresh ingredients. Rice were overcooked or maybe not a daily batch. I used to went there twice a week but the last 4 times there have been dissatisfied.
We enjoyed a nice dinner. Server was knowledgeable and funny. Salmon was so fresh.
For our daughters birthday she wanted us to try her favorite Sushi place for the first time and I must say, it's my favorite now. The Bob Marley is hands down my favorite roll! The vibe is very chill, excellent sushi and dumplings. It's a must try !!!
Everyone & everything was great except for the vegetable appetizer spring rolls.
It was great. Fast service
Server took our order and did nothing else but bring our check. Another employee brought our food and refilled drink. Worst service I've ever had.
Seaweed salad is a new must have! Always our favorite sushi
We love the food at Sushi Blues! The only issue we had was waiting for a table. We had made a reservation for 7:30pm and did not get seated until close to 9pm. This was extremely frustrating considering we had made a reservation to avoid such a long wait.
The food makes it worth it- but we wish the staff had been more accommodating or done more to try and find a solution because waiting over an hour for a reserved table is not ideal.
Wonderful BOGO sushi rolls. First time my boyfriend and I came here, will definitely be back!
Outdoor tables are spaced very far apart; felt very safe for the entire visit!
My best friend and I frequent Sushi Blues at least once a month. She travels an hour and a half for it! We love the people there, the awesomely fresh sushi, and the fact that it's never been too busy or crowded.
I love Sushi Blues. The vibe was great tonight. Always love the food and that lychee Mojito is my fave. Best to make reservations. See you soon.
Good rolls for the most part good staff. Seems like they get a lot more busy then they can handle so they neglect tables and are just slow to the basic restaurant needs.
The restaurant messed up my reservation check in for open table. Thank you open table for fixing it.
Birthday dinner ! Great food and drinks.
Great sushi and great experience. Only issue was restaurant didn’t have my reservation in their system.
Excellent sushi and sashimi. Spicy scallop roll with jalapeños has to be our favorite.
The rolls were very good-I had the Marilyn Monroe and Steven Tyler BOGO. But the wait time and service for them was not, after ordering we waited about 45 mins for them which sucked because we also wanted entrees but it was taking way too long. Our server basically mentioned that they had so many to-go orders which to our party it appeared like they were prioritizing those over their dine-in customers.
Always a great time, tastes great and never disappoints. Their Bogo for sushi is a great deal and allows you to try new rolls
Would definitely go back, good service and food and the scenery was fantastic
I suggest they add more fans outside, that keeps flies away. Or add a title citronella plant or candle. With more people eating outside with the covid they need something to combat the insects.
Great food, waited a while to get initially served as focus seemed to be on the pick up orders. But once we got served it was a great dining experience.
My first visit, and I'm going to be lenient as it's a different world we're living in right now, but while the food was good, some aspects of the meal were disappointing.
The first round of drinks was good, although it was almost 20 minutes after being seated before we were even greeted to have our drink order taken. We placed our order at the same time as my drink order, ordering both large plates and sushi. The sushi came out in about 15 minutes, and my friend waited until I received my food before starting to eat. And waited. And waited. And waited. The table next to us sat, got food and paid before I approached the hostess to check on my food as well as order a second drink for my friend who had an empty glass for 20 minutes since our server, who did seem a bit busy, hadn't been by in at least 30 minutes. About 10 minutes later she did approach to let us know that she had checked the kitchen and the hot food would be out soon, at which time my friend ordered another drink (same as the first drink). The second drink, which took about ten minutes to come out, tasted nothing like the first and ended up mostly undrunk. The food came out shortly after - over an hour after placing the order, at which point we were just ready to go. Ate a few bites, and what I had WAS very tasty, and requested a to-go box. That and the check did come out pretty quickly.
From what we could tell, the servers had 5-ish table sections outside. The rest of the staff was very helpful as far as refilling water went, which was appreciated in the summer and outdoors. Unsure if I'll head back soon - will probably wait until restrictions are safely lessened. I've been in food service for over 20 years, including within the past four months, and overall was disappointed with the lack of communication and planning for getting the food out near the same time.
Didn't hit the spot. I have had better. I would not recommend.
Loved this place! Food fresh and delicious and the jazz names on the menu items were so fun!
Our waitress, Claire, was amazing! The food was great and staff very friendly. Especially to my 14 month old running around the restaurant! Thank you Sushi Blues!
BOGO sushi roll deal is awesome. The food is always fresh and tasty. Our server was okay. No major complaints just seemed like he was a little down. We enjoyed our time there. Had a reservation on Friday night and arrived 10 minutes late due to parking but we’re still seated promptly.
We came here for Valentines day and the service was awesome, the food was quick delicious and gave you a bang for your buck. Drinks were well made and served quick!
Great sushi bar in the heart of Glenwood south. The sushi was great, even if non-traditional. The service was excellent and the bubbly mango is a must try if you like sweet mango drinks!
My wife and I went for Valentine’s Day dinner. We had reservations and were seated right away. Glad we had reservations because it was pretty cold outside and those that didn’t have reservations had to sit at the bar our outside. Anyway, our waitress was very helpful in making recommendations since we had never been there before. My wife had a drink (LOUIE ARMSTRONG) and it was very good. The Rolls we ordered were STEVEN TYLER, 74/83, MARILYN MONROE, and FIRE AND ICE. Nice atmosphere and good music playing as well. We will go back for sure.
Sushi is always excellent. The bar side of the restaurant ALWAYS has a sanitation-type smell. You get used to it, but it definitely hits you when you walk in. The smell has been there for years!
Enjoyed their bogo sushi
A great place for sushi in downtown Raleigh! They have a great selection and the rolls are BOGO. It's my go-to
