Just perfect outdoor experience and amazing food!
Great experience, great food and amazing view of the mountains! Highly recommend a visit to the Sunset Terrace.
Very good. Trout was excellent .
Great service, food, and view. Worth the trip just for the ambiance
The food was very good. Would have enjoyed bread with our meal. Service was very good as well. Unfortunately our table ended up in the sun which did make our experience slightly uncomfortable.
My husband's crab cake was delish. My salmon cake was out of this world. Jonathan our service was very personable and gave us great service.
Always awesome food and service. We truly enjoy this location and we live 15 minutes away.
Beautiful terrace dining with great food.
The exorbitant prices for mediocre food was disappointing. Chicken was bland and dry. Potatoes portion was 3 bites. No bread offered. Beer was good but $8 was way too much. Mexican hot sauce substituted for aTabasco request. Caesar Salad was excellent and well portioned(the only item we ordered that was well portioned). Black bean soup was tasty but veggies were not tender. Beans were not tender. Service was short staffed and waiter couldn’t keep up. Waiter was courteous and did his best under the circumstances.
We had our fiftieth anniversary lunch at the Grove Park . Our waitress could not ha e been nicer or more attentive. Great service.
Perfect for a birthday celebration! Wonderful views, great service and yummy lobster salad!
Food was very nice. Atmosphere quite pleasing. Wine list needs work.
Thank you for an outstanding dinner on our anniversary. Our waitress was great and very attentive. Thank you for the sweet unexpected treat at the end of the meal.
Everything about my experience was wonderful! Our server, Jared,, was a delight & helped to make my day special at the Sunset Terrace. Thank you Jared.
Tim was a great server - made the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely will be back!!! Memorable
Go for the view but skip the restaurant. Overpriced and overrated. The portions are very small and the food is mediocre at best. I sent my $50 plate back because the vegetables had sand in them. Poorly prepped. Great if you like eating grit with your dinner. They did not charge us for this meal, but overall I would not go back.
Thank you for taking the time to share feedback from your recent dining experience at the Sunset Terrace. We apologize your meal did not meet expectations. We have shared your comments with our Food and Beverage team with the goal of improving the quality of our offerings, and we hope to see you on property in the future.
This location was amazing
One of the best views in Asheville. Perfect for a special occasion or a casual dinner. The staff are exceptional.
Seated timely. White tent off of terrace gave a glare that was annoying. Food was good but could have a better presentation. The dessert we had (apple cobbler) was recommended by our waitress, but was not really a cobbler. Wasn't the best.
We had higher expectations for this event.
Average food, average service great views
The food was delicious. The view was unbelievable. Great place to enjoy a lovely meal and beautiful scenery.
As, always wonderful food, impeccable service, and perfect ambience. The crab cake sandwich is a must. My spouse had the trout special and it was awesome!
A side comment, why is the hotel so frigid. The air-conditioning is set way too low. It was actually uncomfortable walking around and really diminished the experience of enjoying the hotel decor and history. Raise that temp! The hotel will save lots of money too.
It was great. Does not rely just on its stupendous view for a great experience. Its food is equally stupendous.
Food was amazing and the view was breathtaking. We ordered the filet mignon and New York strip with fingerling potatoes and a side of scallops. Steaks were cooked to perfection. We also ordered a Cesar salad which was great, but 1 salad feeds 2 people easily.
Great evening, unrivaled views. The perfect end to a fun filled day
A beautiful hotel with the most amazing view. Worth going there even if it’s just for a cocktail. The food was traditional steakhouse. Nothing too exciting. We had the bruschetta which was was just ok. The gem wedge was great. My daughter had the scallops which was well plated and delicious. My husband and I split a NY strip. Cooked well. The black pepper sauce was tasty. I enjoyed the sparking sangria as it was a hot summer day.
Excellent food and service. Very pleasant atmosphere.
Jesse was an outstanding host and server. We will be back!
Best view, service, and experience!
Never received salad ordered prior to meal. Was served extremely undercooked pork. It was cooked up along with the piece I cut off and served back to me. Huge let down.
This is a gem! The highlight of our trip! Great food and service and amazing views!
Amazing views! Great place to walk around. Or better yet, make a reservation and have a meal overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and Asheville. Food was great, service was great, and ambience was a 10!
Interesting lunch menu in a covered outdoor patio environment with a beautiful view. What is there not to like ?
Lovely panoramic view of mountains and exceptional, personal service are qualities to be valued.
Pricey, but worth it for a great dining experience. Fantastic food, service, and view.
We had a delicious dinner overlooking the beautiful countryside. Our server, Sasha, was wonderful! She knew the menu well and made excellent recommendations.
Outstanding. You made my wife's and mine 50th anniversary a memorable experience.
Great special occasion restaurant for people like me enjoy a view of the mountains and downtown Asheville.
Superb service. Seasoning of dishes is finely tuned. Roasted chicken a bit dry, I suspect that was partially self inflicted by ordering lunch @ 2:30 in the afternoon.
The meal was well prepared and very tasty. Caesar Salad topped with Blackened Salmon. Awesome view from the terrace.
View is beautiful and it was warm enough so we did not need jackets. Had to send my Fried Green tomatoes back as they were cold. Wife had Lobster Salad and she said it is great. I had the pastrami sandwich but did not care for it as it was nothing like New York City pastrami. Pricey for what you get. Service was outstanding.
