We got there early and they accommodated us understanding that we were in a hurry and had to be somewhere in an hour. We got our appetizers and food very quickly and our waiter was wonderful. She was attentive and knowledgeable. Very good experience with the food and dining experience.

We ate at Sundried Tomato once about 3 years ago and enjoyed the meal. This time was a different experience. The restaurant was very crowded and the noise level is quite high, which is tolerable if you're prepared for that. Service was fair and the food mediocre. Spring roll appetizers were too crunchy and nearly flavorless. Lamb chops were tasty but the accompanying potatoes were under-cooked and not very tasty. Overall a mediocre dining experience.

We wanted to go to dinner near the beach, but all of the restaurants there were crowded. So we put in open table and Sundried Tomato came up. I didn't know there was one in San Clemente. It was a bit of a drive inland, but was just what we were looking for. No wait, good food and quiet place that we could visit!

14 of us gathered for Sunday brunch. The food. selection was diverse, tasty and well priced.
We were able to hear each other speak as the noise level was just right. The service was right on.

I started with the bacon wrapped scallops. They are always very good. I had the shrimp pasta in a cream vodka sauce that was amazing. Very good dining experience for the price.

We went for thanksgiving at the last seating, so we felt a bit rushed. The wine did not arrive until we were almost finished our entree. Food was very good.

The food wasn't good and wasn't tasty at all, and the ambiance was depressing and dark without any decorations.

Food was decent. The chicken spring rolls are fantastic also the French cat martini is delicious! Calamari had no flavor and artichoke was overlooked.

2 hot teas, 4 street tacos (2 plates) and one cobbler with ice cream split, no appetizers and no alcohol = $60.00.

Location is convenient and staying open late is a good feature. I will come back because of the location, but the meal was very expensive for the food we received.

Food tasted good.

I've been to this restaurant twice and both times the food was not prepared correctly. My steak was well done instead of medium and my husband's burger was well done instead of medium rare. Not worth the $ they charge. We won't be going back.

I had the lamb chops this time and they were great. For an extra 5 bucks, I added a chop. More than enough food. The chops were served with green beans and mashed potatoes. All was very good.

Always excellent in food, ambiance and service. I ordered the Daily Lunch Special which was recommended by our server, Ruben. The Clam Chowder and Lobster Tacos were delicious! Ruben is the best server! Will always return to Sundried Tomato!

The Seared Tuna steak over mashed potatoes was phenomenal. I was cooked perfect and a nice portion. I was very hungry and was opting for a steak. But they were out of New York strips. This was a great choice.

We don't live in San Clemente, but were looking on Yelp for a place to meet half with with our north OC family. The reservation was easy to get and the entire evening was a pleasant surprise. The menu was excellent-something for everyone. The outdoor patio was lovely! Our server was knowledgable and attentive! If we lived closer, we'd frequent here often!

This was my first time dining at Sundried Tomato and it will more than likely be my last. I ordered the chicken and pesto sandwich and it left much to be desired. It is sort of my go to sandwich if I see it on the menu at lunch or early dinner. I don't know how they messed up something as simple as chicken and pesto but they did. My friend had a burger and said it was ok but could get the same quality and taste at a less expensive establishment. We both enjoyed out fries and drink, I had red wine she had a sofa. We ordered the seven layer chocolate cake for dessert and that was good, however the scoop of ice cream on the size was freezer burned. Our service was good, he came around enough to keep us refilled on beverages.
Maybe this place is better if you're just going for drinks and appetizers, but not for a meal.
