   I had so much fun. Our cook George and waiter Jose were awesome and so funny. Definitely going back.

   We had a reservation and asked for a lively table. Sumo has an odd policy of filling corner/ outside tables first (according to the hostess) and at the table we were seated, of 7 available seats, we were initially put on the side splitting our party as opposed to giving us the 4 seats together (still leaving 3 seats together). Again, we were told this is policy. Our server and chef were great however I can't imagine going back.

   Hahahahaha. Fine dining? Great experience? No. It was anything but that. The hostesses were rude and unhelpful. We did not even get to sit even though we had a reservation.

   We have dined here several times. Don't bother using opentable to secure a reservation as they will not have your name upon checkin. I even showed our opentable confirmation email which did nothing to expedite the process. We had a 5:15 pm reservation and were not seated until 6:00 pm. The food was fantastic as usual and the hibachi chef provided a wonderful show. The ventilation needs to be addressed as the chef next to us burned some onions causing everyone in the surrounding area to start coughing. I would suggest not visiting this restaurant on a busy night.

   When we arrive our reservation was at 645 and we did not get to our table till one hour later very disappointed because we traveled 2 hrs to eat

   Basic, good miso soup. Ginger salad probably out of a bag. Entertainment was - meh, lacking enthusiasm. Veggies were good, but could use double the amount. Chicken, steak and shrimp were all ample amounts and cooked well. Will probably just stick with a sushi place when we get this kind of craving again.

   Food plentiful, chef wonderful, not impressed with those we shared table with. Going back next week. Thank you for great food and service.

   Went to Sumo Japanese Steakhouse for my wife's birthday. I was sure about it when I purchased the Groupon but I was pleased with the service, food and entertaining cook. My wife left happy and as a husband that make me happy! We will be back soon. We traveled from Austin TX and after we went to the San Antonio Spurs game so everything worked out!

   It wasn't our best hibachi experience. I was a little grossed out by the copious amounts of butter our chef put on all the food. I would have preferred three times the amount of vegetables, too! Our chef attempted to toss shrimp into two guests' mouths -- he missed both times and they got greasy shrimp on their faces.

    This was my party's first time attending this restaurant. The chef was very personable and humorous! The food was cooked to perfection. I had the shrimp and lobster. The lobster was not over cooked and was very tasty and tender. The fried rice was good with the special sauce instead of using soy sauce. The menu is a bit pricey and we won't make this an every week restaurant. More for special occasions or every now and again.
