SukhoThai - Marigny
minced pork, chicken, and shrimp or crab, water chestnut, green onion in a steamed wonton with dim sum sauce.
spicy red curry in coconut milk with bamboo shoots, bell pepper and sweet basil sautéed with choice of meat.
thin rice noodles pan-fried in a tamarind sauce with egg, fresh bean sprouts, green onion, peanut, lime.
Food was excellent as always. No time allowed between delivery of courses which destroys the feel of a leisurely meal. Waitress could have been a little more attentive. I’ll certainly be back for the wonderful food.
The staff was polite, accommodating and friendly. The food was excellent. I definitely will be returning when I’m in New Orleans!
•They did NOT de-beard the mussels, and when it was brought to their attention, the manager said “I have never seen any restaurants clean (remove the beard) their mussels like that in my whole life” and “Can’t you eat the mussel hair (beard)?”!!!
It was great. They were wonderful, and their service seems to have gotten even better post covid! The food was great. It's a different location than the one on magazine, but near Frenchmen street which makes going out later on at night easier.
Thank you so much!!! <3
Love this place! Eggplant Lover Thai Hot! Can't go wrong.
Sat at the bar. Bartender was amazing. Great service and food was outstanding, as always.
Amazing craft cocktails and consistently delicious Thai food! My girlfriend and I love this spot for its incredible vegan options!
We had a wonderful lunch, with fabulous service and wonderful food. We really enjoyed the red coconut curry and the drunken noodles. The drink menu is very fun, and we always enjoy the Thai iced tea.
The food was very tasty and priced reasonably. They ask how hotly seasoned you want it. We had a level 3 that was all of the heat that we could have handled. Would not recommend anything higher than that.
The service was so-so, actually, slow. But I do like the fact that there is only a $10.00 corkage fee. We will dine here again.
Always loved this place. I have many favorites on the menu. Be bold, try them all if you can. You will not be disappointed.
Extensive menu. Great place to eat. Reasonable prices, friendly and helpful wait staff. Coronvirus protocols were very well maintained and followed. Check them out if you enjoy Thai cuisine.
It was a last minute reservation on a very busy Saturday night.
The host got us a table and we served a delicious meal in a short period of time.
I was very pleasantly surprised to find such great Thai here on a trip to Louisiana. According to our very friendly waiter, the chef is a Thai lady and really knows her stuff. The spice level is high (true to good Thai food), so keep that in mind when they ask how spicy. Most of you in New Orleans won't mind, though. The drinks are also really affordable. Totally a good find.
Have been going to SukhoThai for years. Must go place every time I come to New Orleans. Started in their old location when it was BYOB - to now with great craft cocktails and suki selections. Never disappointed.
This is probably the best Thai place I have been to outside of Thailand. This is always a must anytime I am in New Orleans.
The food is always great here as is the service.
Coming from Houston we were dying to find some good / different things to try. Never thought in a million years I’d have the best Thai that I’ve ever had in NOLA. I had a lot of Thai back in college, but this surpassed all of my best memories. My only “complaint” was that I couldn’t eat more. Guess we’ll just need to come back again. Dumplings, satay and fried eggplant were great starters. Chicken so moist and flavorful, dumplings packed with meat and flavor, eggplant so light fresh and crispy. I had duck panang curry. I’ve not had such a flavorful and rounded dish before. Sauce was nutty and creamy without being heavy, duck was cooked perfectly, veggies - bell peppers, green beans, and broccoli all were crisp tender. All was a real treat. Some places just throw some veggies in for garnish but it was hard to tell the star here, meat, sauce or veggie. Highly recommended.
SukhoThai is always a good experience. A short walk from most of the French Quarter and the Marigny, it's a terrific destination for authentic Thai. The staff are warm, welcoming and helpful, and the chef is skilled.
Waitress was by herself serving all tables....food was lukewarm when we got it.
UNBELIEVABLE FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE!!!!
:) it was awesome! Delicious food and drinks.
This is a great place for date night and super affordable. Everything we ordered was fantastic.
Great food! Staff was very nice as well!
The flavors were delicious. Garden soup, drunken noodles, veggie spring rolls all wonderful!
Our 2nd time here and the food has been amazing.
The people are extremely friendly and so far it’s the only restaurant where the mask policy actually makes sense (we are both scientist).
Already looking forward to the next time.
Great food and service. Adherence to Covid protocols.
Great neighborhood restaurant! Service was outstanding. We felt safe with the protocols they had in place. The beef salad was delicious with just the right amount of spice and dressing. My husband and I both had soup as well. Nice balance of protein, veggies, and broth in both the Tom Yum and Tom Kha. Will definitely visit again next time we’re in town!
Great service. Great food. Can’t wait to try the other location.
Extensive menu, with flexibility on substitutions and levels of spice; moreover, good Thai food.
Always good food. Great prices. You can’t go wrong eating here.
Excellent drunken noodle duck, crispy and succulent, delicious, and the great special house appetizer dumplings
Wonderful lunch with my daughter, food was great as always
The servers followed Covid protocol very well and I felt comfortable.
Amazing as always! Service was wonderful, huge portions and delicious. Ask about the bartenders craft cocktails! Also try Thai Tea!
Perfect dinner, great food and its right down the street. Love this especially for visiting vegans!
All of our food choices were delicious. Can’t go wrong trying different items here.
Before we ventured to SukhoThai, we made sure there was not a wait. In the event there was, we would had planned a back up location to eat at....there was no wait according to multiple online sources. Upon arrival, the host aggressively asked if we had a reservation. Being there was no wait before coming, we had no reason to reserve. He followed that up with them having a 2 hour wait, mind you the place was nearly empty and usually if there is a wait, you can’t move in a place so small. So we looked again to make sure there were any reserved seating we could grab before the two hour wait. We quickly noticed there were reservation times within 15 min. So it made no sense for there to be such a long “wait”. After the 15 min. he, very frustrated, said “just because you have a reservation does not mean I do”. He than grabbed two menus and seated us. As he pulls the seat for me to sit he said “good thing you were smart enough to make a reservation” as if we didn’t check that before coming to this place. So after that rude intro, 20 min goes by with no one waiting on us for drinks or appetizers. Finally, when the waitress did come the food was very quick to table and the drinks were great. The waitress was awesome and the experience after being seated was great as well. Other than that, the host did not hesitate to show his frustration. Very rude demeanor and gross choice of words.
Regardless the food was good and the atmosphere was relaxing.
