Sugar Factory American Brasserie is a 9,000-square-foot space offering both sweet and savory American culinary classics to the MB Financial Park Entertainment District in Rosemont.

Sugar Factory’s culture is a celebrated concept of food and drink menus that include perfectly executed classics, from eggs benedict and burgers to housemade flatbreads, savory steaks and pastas. Our more unique selections include Banana Split Crepes, Rocky Road Fondue and Red Velvet Pancakes. Sugar Factory also found a way to spike your favorite drinks by offering signature smoking candy goblets, and specialty martinis and cocktails, such as the Cotton Candy Cosmopolitan or Cherry Tootsie Pop. Creative candy inspired milkshakes and the famous King Kong Sundae round out Sugar Factory’s inspired menu.

    We showed up with a party of seven, we were not greeted at the host stand for at least 10 minutes. Many staff members walked by and I had to ask one of them if we could speak to a host to be seated. There was a total of two tables filled in the entire restaurant was empty. Even though I checked in with the host right at 7 o’clock, and then waited 10 minutes to even speak to host a young woman then told me that we had to wait. So we waited another 10 minutes and now it’s 720 and I went up to the house and asked her if she had an idea of when we would be seated and if there was a wait and she let me know there was a wait ( mind you it was completely empty and there were about 20 tables open) despite being very perplexed. We still stood there and waited another 10 minutes so now it’s about seven 3735. She grabs the menus gives us a spiel about how 20% gratuities included on every check. Then walks doesn’t say that we are going to be seated or anything. We get sat at two different tables with a space in the middle mind you there are four adults and three children. We start looking over the menu, which is absurd. There’s probably 300 items in tiny print on each page extremely overwhelming. We wait another 10 minutes without a server, coming to our table and then decided to go to fat Rosies across the street. Very disappointed because I had guest in from out of town who specifically wanted to go to this restaurant. The kids for the most part were so upset this restaurant missed out on probably a $600 tap easily. Would not recommend.

    The location of venue is perfect, however the food and service leave much to be desired, which is why they automatically tag on the 20% service charge on your tab. Although pleasant enough, our server was a bit slow & not too available even when we were there at a slow time. The food was sub par for the cost, but the Nutella coffee was the saving grace. Go there for the desserts, not for the food.

    The food is awful. We had the burgers and they are the cheapest quality of meat you can find. The prices are outrageous. Save yourself money and eat at a better restaurant then just go here for drinks or desert. The servers don't do a great job because they don't have to. Their tip is already included. Thankfully the bus boys were able to bring us napkins and salt. The drinks are the reason people go here but they are overpriced as well.

    I have been coming here for the last 4 years. I have always had an excellent experience until last night. The service was so absolutely horrendous that I am highly debating never going back to this location and just biting the gas cost to go to the one in the City. The entire time my wife, son and I were there, we were completely ignored by our server. Not because it was busy, mind you, there were only 5 tables in use in the building. The only reason we received appetizers is because the manager took our appetizer order shortly after sitting down, however, didn’t even ask or give us a chance to place a drink order. Almost an hour after being seated were we even greeted by their server and given her name. And then another half hour after that before she came back so we could order our entrees. Our appetizers had been long done and just sitting as empty plates in the middle of the table for 45 minutes. I have been in the food service industry for 16 years and have never experienced such poor customer service let alone provided it myself. The odds of us coming back to this location is extremely minimal.

    Terrible! Wait staff never put one of the food orders in and then was dismissive when asked when it would be coming out. Food came out once everyone else was done eating and plates were being removed. This included the 24 milkshake that was supposed to come with dinner. It came out, as we were leaving despite asking about it. Drinks were never refilled, nobopdy checked if anything was needed, just terrible service. There were three other tables filled in the entire restaurant and it was a Tuesday. We did appreciate the missed dinner being removed from the bill but then they decided to tax us on the meal and add a 20% gratuity on a party of four. This was supposed to be a small family get together to celebrate a birthday and we drove an hour to get there thinking this would be a fun place to go. Literally the absolute worst. Aside from the food, the air was quite literally set at 58 degrees and was blowing freezing air. When asked to sit outside they stated they were not seating people outdoors that day. Just a disappointing and extremely expensive experience for sub par food and terrible service.

    I immediately noticed upon seating in the ceiling they had a water leak and the mold starting to form around where the leak was, plus there was a hole in the ceiling. Food was average and highly overpriced. I knew going into this what to expect as this wasn’t our first time visiting Sugar Factory, but in past experiences the food was better.

    I took my 11 year old daughter here yesterday at 7 for her graduating 5th grade and we had the BEST service ever. I was truly surprised and both of our waiters who were together were the sweetest and made me and her night special and we would deff return. I just wanted to make sure I made it known that these two were the BEST!!!!!! And I didnt remember their names I'm sorry!

    First and last visit at this restaurant. Took my daughter for celebration. We felt everything was very overpriced compared to quality, terrible drinks, food very average. We did like rainbow sliders for appetizer. Fajitas were not the best. Server was pretty decent. Pretty disappointing experience.

    We went for a 21st birthday celebration and we all had fun! The drinks are extravagant and memorable when a person thinks back to their big 21st birthday! Very special
