Our menu features Rustic Italian Recipes, Thin Crust Pizzas & Fresh Pastas. Stoneground Italian is located downtown in a second-story loft overlooking the architecturally acclaimed Salt Lake City Public Library. Since opening in 2000, owner Bob McCarthy has been cooking up a dining experience that’s warm, welcoming and firmly planted in his Irish-Italian roots. He takes a simple approach to serving delicious food: always fresh and house-made.
The environment at Stoneground is cool and casual; some describe it as a rustic/urban vibe. You’ll feel comfortable dressed as you are. The window tables have mesmerizing views and are ideal for intimate dining occasions. The outdoor deck seats about 40-people and is the go-to spot for your fair weather celebrations. Park and enter from the rear of the building. Parking is Free. Hope to see you soon!

    Enjoyed the spicy sausage tagliatelle, the roast pork, creamy polenta and red wine cranberry reduction, and squash soup. With wine and the fabulous donuts dessert. All very well done! Annie, our server, was perfect. Pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu and wines. Another great evening at Stoneground Italian Kitchen. Thank you!

    Excellent pizza and pasta! Polenta fries and focaccia starter were also delicious. No misses. My son who is a super picky eater even loved the cheese pizza. We had the donuts and tiramisu to finish. Nice vibe inside. Highly recommend going if you are visiting Salt Lake City!

    Food is always fantastic, as is service! We were able to bring our 13 month old and the staff was so accommodating and she LOVED the gnocchi! It’s definitely not a “kid” restaurant but with the a kid who does well in restaurants this is a wonderful nice night out of the whole family!

    The only reason I marked for service was that it was a little bit slow but out server was soooo nice and we had an incredible dinner!!

    The chefs fired the food before we were done with our apps. Not cool. Who likes to eat with your table covered in appetizers and share plates etc.
