Our menu features Rustic Italian Recipes, Thin Crust Pizzas & Fresh Pastas. Stoneground Italian is located downtown in a second-story loft overlooking the architecturally acclaimed Salt Lake City Public Library. Since opening in 2000, owner Bob McCarthy has been cooking up a dining experience that’s warm, welcoming and firmly planted in his Irish-Italian roots. He takes a simple approach to serving delicious food: always fresh and house-made.
The environment at Stoneground is cool and casual; some describe it as a rustic/urban vibe. You’ll feel comfortable dressed as you are. The window tables have mesmerizing views and are ideal for intimate dining occasions. The outdoor deck seats about 40-people and is the go-to spot for your fair weather celebrations. Park and enter from the rear of the building. Parking is Free. Hope to see you soon!

    Excellent in every detail. Rare to find a restaurant that maintains it quality over the decades, as does Stoneground.

    Stone ground did everything right. Good service, good food, nice atmosphere, friendly waitress, and the value, considering restaurant prices these days, was excellent.

    The waiter seemed busy but it took quite a while to get out water and felt like he had too many tables. Each time he stopped by he was very rushed but had a great attitude, food was great!

    What a lovely early dinner. We beat the dinner rush, sat by the window. Left as the Friday crowd, which was robust and loud was arriving! Great wine selection, excellent homemade pasta!

    Enjoyed the spicy sausage tagliatelle, the roast pork, creamy polenta and red wine cranberry reduction, and squash soup. With wine and the fabulous donuts dessert. All very well done! Annie, our server, was perfect. Pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu and wines. Another great evening at Stoneground Italian Kitchen. Thank you!
