Excellent food, unique menu, wide variety of beer and wine. Wonderful outdoor dining area.
Once you got used to the planes taking off the place was awesome. Great educated servers and it's Stone beer. What could be better!
The space inside and out is absolutely fantastic! We ate outside and it was a typically perfect day in SD. The only complaint is that it's right in the flight path of the planes taking off from the airport, so the planes going by overhead are very loud every few minutes, but the rest of it is all so nice, that's it's easy to overcome. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered a pretzel appetizer and two lunch entrees (grilled cheese and banh mi) - all of which were really good! And don't forget the beer! We had a lot of fun choosing beer flights and tasting them all and we were very pleased with the entire experience. After lunch, we walked around outside looking at the fish in the pond and then played a few rounds of bocce ball on their courts. Walking around the rest of Liberty Station was also nice! Fun, delicious, and would love to go back!
Our waiter was not attentive and gave us the wrong side dish for our meal. He Never checked in on us, we had to flag him down multiple times to order more drinks. My Bahn Mi sandwich was dry and the bread was super hard. My friends Aguachile didn't have the Calabrian chili glazed peanuts. When we notified the waiter he went to check with the kitchen and brought out some regular peanuts and said the nuts are blended into the sauce which is not what the menu said. Also for a kids menu and being such a nice establishment it is super boring. I love liberty station and I will come back but I think our time at Stone Brewery has ended and we will not return.
We love going to Stone for birthday dinners!
First time here and was pleasantly surprised by the healthy menu selection. The family and I will definitely be returning!
Awesome time with family. Our server was particularly great, with spot-on recommendations and customer service! Loved the food & drinks! Just wish the prices were a bit more affordable because paying $25 por a small serving of scallops, though delicious, seems way too high!
Definitely loud but the food, drink and service were good so we ignored the screaming kids and airplanes!!
I made a reservation, we were seated immediately. We requested outdoor seating but I was concerned since it was a little cool out - but have no fear as they have heaters.
The ambiance on the outdoor area is great, love the koi ponds with fish, bocce ball and big rocks. The servers are attentive and make good recommendations if you are not so familiar with the different types of ales. The food is good, I ended up splitting the 10oz steak and arugula salad with a friend. The arugula salad had this lemon twist with the saltiness of the green olives - it was perfect. The steak was cooked exactly how we ordered, this came with potatoes. Our other dinner mate had the lamb rigatoni, there was nine left at the end of the meal.
I would come back, liberty station in itself is a nice place to visit.
Lovely restaurant - sat outside, great ambiance. Our server was very attentive and informative, had great suggestions about the menu. We all had different entrees and all was good, beautifully presented, delicious and prepared just as ordered.
Great location except for the airplanes taking off overhead. Very noisy. Food was great and atmosphere was great. Would definitely go back again.
Of course, the beers and beer selection were awesome and the best part. The food was very good and the service was friendly and helpful, but didn't come around enough, and everything came very slowly. It was probably worse than normal as they comped the dessert. But it probably isn't a good choice when you're in a rush.
I was willing to overlook the less than friendly reception and the freezing cold dining room since it's location has an indoor/outdoor feel. We should have left when we realized the only burger option they had on the menu was vegan. However, when the waitress knocked my wine glass over when I handed her my menu and a full glass of red wine hit my white linen pants the restaurant decided they were "above" even the expected level of customer service. My husband had to go and beg for towels which were nowhere to be found and then took his undershirt off so I could dab my pants and dry my purse. The manager came over and we calmly told him that "accidents happen", but they didn't even comp us the glass of wine that I honestly didn't want to finish after she brought me a new one. Not even a penny off of the price. The scallops were burned on one side and the kids chicken fingers were the ridiculously bad. Arrogant service and subpar food. So many better brewery options in San Diego and in Liberty Station.
I'm a huge fan of Stone and so maybe I had this place built up in my head. That said, I was extremely disappointed with our service. I expected more than a "what do you want" at a bistro. No discussion of the menu or pairing beers, nothing! Also, I was asked what the occasion was when I made the reservation but nothing came from that. Why do you want to know if its our anniversary if you're not going to do or say anything about it??? The beer was great and our dinner was good. But overall, I was annoyed by the service and the planes flying overhead and wouldn't really consider it a destination the next time I'm in San Diego.
Excellent beers and food. The atmosphere is just great. Will definitely make out here again.
Service could use customer service training for prompt attention and better listening to requests
Food and service were excellent. Only negative was that planes from nearby San Diego airport were taking off constantly overhead.
Such a great place. The outdoor garden is not to be missed. Excellent beer and food. Friendly staff. I make a point of visiting this location or the one north when I’m in San Diego.
We were visiting from Arkansas we're told about this place and decided to go to it for our son's 3rd birthday seemed like a funny location for that but the kids all enjoyed it and the waitress was incredible she even brought our son a free birthday Sunday!
Wait staff was great. Outdoor patio seating was well shaded. Food was very tasty! Beers was just as good. Would defiantly go back.
Great location in San Diego. The outside garden area has a good vibe. It's close to the airport, so planes are often heard and seen flying overhead (can get pretty loud, but not that big of a deal). Food is good, not a big menu selection though. Beer is fantastic! Family friendly. Staff is cool, nice and overall easy going.
Great food and drinks but a bit pricey and the aircraft noise from the flight path being directly overhead was a bit much
Great location, ambience and food. Service was really great too. We had a great Father’s Day.
Great food and great beer. This was a unique location due to the proximity to SD Airport; the consistent take-offs of airplanes made for a fun addition to the evening. Would highly recommend any of Stone's locations to people who appreciate great beer and unique and tasty food.
Nice outdoor sitting. You just have to get used to the commercial travel noise being at liberty Station
Our table was perfect, right by the fountain. The presentation of the food was excellent. I was very impressed. We both enjoyed our meals very much!
Our go to date night with the mister. Impossible burger and quail knots are the best!
Service was slow and the lunch menu was lacking, especially for the self named "world bistro." How do you have two hamburgers on the menu and both are vegetarian?? But the beer was good (of course), the servers were friendly, and the ambiance was lovely. Next time I'll just grab a beer and eat somewhere else.
The beer is exceptional, the menu is somewhat limited in my opinion but still great, the ambiance is amazing, and the jets taking off over your head are deafening
This place is awesome! FIrst time to this location. Rotating menu for beer and food. The menu pairs up their locally crafted brews with each dish. Perfect place for foodies! The atmosphere is great of course, very unique inside and out. I recommend a visit in the evening as the gardens will be lit up outdoors. Indoor fireplace also! Will return here on my next visit to San Diego!
Great beers, great food, exceptional service. Really love the garden; it makes for a nice view for business meals.
Excellent for adults great food, awesome beer. Fun restaurant with great service. Two children couldn't find anything on the menu they would eat. A better children food menu would be nice.
The beer was terrific and so was the pretzel. Lunch meals were nothing to rave about and a bit pricey for what was served. This was true of the Escondido location the last time we dined there. LOVE the beer, ambiance, and pretzels!!!
We went for my son's graduation , my first time there , I choose the place so was the perfect choice . All my guest really enjoy the place . Excellent customer service . And food was so good.
Waiters were very slow, didn’t get orders correct. Even though we were there for mother’s day, there were MANY open tables and it still took a long time to get dishes, and drinks. Drink orders were wrong several times, we were missing drinks, etc. Will likely not be returning.
Every time we have been here it's been good. The atmosphere outside is great. The service this time wasn't quite as good as before (mistake with order). Very friendly staff though. Beautiful place to be when the sun is shining. And the beer selection - unbelievable.
Always a memorable beer experience. So easy to get spoiled with such a large list of great beers. But wait, the beer is only half the experience. The setting they've created to drink that beer is truly outstanding.
We were there to celebrate Mother's Day because we have been there previous years and enjoyed the atmosphere, food, drinks and our children are entertained by looking around and the pond. Stone appeared to be quite busy this Sunday so the service was slower than previous years which had some of the adults a little restless (the kids were doing really good however). The waiter was accommodating and polite and trying his best which was very much appreciated. The food was really good and all in all it was an enjoyable afternoon.
The restaurant was wonderful! Foos and service were exceptional. (Our server looked like Alden ehrenreich from the new “Solo” movie). Haha! Definitely crowded but the reservation from “open table” got us right in. The sun was a problem, so they tilted the umbrella for us and our kids, even though it was kind of a nuisance for other patrons, the way it was angled. Whateves.....honestly we prefer the Escondido location, only because it’s a slightly different menu (I really wanted the IPA soup :( they had tomato which was meh....) and we absolutely LOVE the big open grassy area in Escondido with the rocks to climb on for our kids. Overall, great night!
Great energy, unique food and a diverse beer selection! There's something for everyone!
