Sashimi, rolls and cocktails were amazing, raw fish and uni were very fresh, exactly what you are looking for at a sushi restaurant. We had a 7:15pm reservation but arrived little late and missed the sunset, upon request we still got a nice table at the terrace with the ocean view, with the full moon that night it was little extra nicer. I wish the service was just little more attentive, it wasn’t rude or anything but felt half hearted.

Expected the mood to be more like what the name library implies and not noisy like a sports bar. Where’s the soft soothing Hawaiian music which is not what was playing? It’s what makes us unique. Other than that we had a good experience.

After reviewing the menu before making a reservation we knew, kind of, what we wanted to order. Our reservation was at 530pm. They open at 530 and not a minute sooner so there is a jam up at the get go to get to your table. Our server was not at all engaging, although the table next to us had a server who was very attentive and explained everything. My husband ordered the blackened cod, excellent but order 2 portions if this is your choice for one person. I ordered big eye tuna double portion and it was excellent. Extremely loud bar area. Service is, well, nonexistent.

Fantastic food and amazing service. I even tried the Japanese whisky flight and was not disappointed. This place is a hidden gem and we’ll definitely be back. If you have a hard time getting a reservation, go to the bar and enjoy the friendly service.

We dined at Stephensons 18 months ago during our trip to Poipu and made sure it was on our list again this trip. The Lobster Dynamite is over the top and the Sushi and rolls are fabulous. When deciding if we should go to Maui or Kauai we chose Kauai just so we could go to Stephensons.

I would’ve rated this place higher, but I wasn’t too impressed with the service. The food was good. We had a crunchy roll, California roll, the lobster thing and shrimp tempura. All was good except the shrimp tempura (not a lot of flavor). Service was intermittent and rushed. I didn’t feel like they even waited around long enough to see what we needed. It might be better to get your order to go here

Super nice sushi dinner with the Family at Stevenson's. Outside terrace and ocean view. Crunchy shrimp cut-rolls and yellowfin tuna nigiri were delicious. California cut-roll and gf soy sauce were great option for gluten sensitive persons. Excellent service as always. Well worth the cost.

Service wasn’t very attentive. They forgot one of our ordered appetizers and we had to ask for a straw three times. In addition our food came out at different times. I won’t be returning, for that cost I’ll choose something else.

Excellent sushi! Every time we come to Poitou, we also make sure to return! Salmon sashimi is the best and their specialty rolls are amazing! Recommend getting there when they open and sitting outside if you can. Beautiful views and limited tables.
