Food was great! Lobster dynamite was good, but we ate everything we ordered before we got it, even if it was listed as an appetizer. All the sushi we received was good. Our busser/food runner took care of us more than our waiter. If you take care of the locals, the locals will take care of you. Tip for waiter: treat the locals as you would tourist.
We had a gorgeous view of the resort lagoon and shipwreck Beach from our veranda table. Lots of gluten-free options to choose from on the sushi menu, which was important to one of our group members. There seem to be a lot of confusion, multiple servers bringing dishes to our table that were not meant for us. My husband’s salad was so so, but our sushi dishes were fantastic.
SUSHI was EXCELLENT and FRESH. Service was VERY GOOD - Servers very attentive. Had a GREAT evening!!
Really a great night wife date. Sushi rolls were outstanding. Highly recommended romantic dinner opportuntity
Other than a whole glass of water being poured on my wife when being seated, everything else was great.
Great time at Stevenson’s the staff was phenomenal I will recommend to our friends thanks again aloha.
It was a dinner for our honeymoon and we were sat in the bar area with a large group of business people. It was so awkward because we were the only table in there besides the bar people. Food was good and waitress was nice. We received a free dessert for our honeymoon but it wasn’t that great.
Good food and cool place, but I was disappointed we were seated at a table in the back despite making a reservation 6 weeks prior.
Beautiful view and each table has enough distance without too much noise, so it would be also perfect place for business dinner.
Stevenson’s was a great surprise for me. The food was delicious, service was great and the sunset view from the patio is lovely. The atmosphere is hip yet cozy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Kauai.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Loved our night.
Great space, excellent sake and rice. Wonderful appetizers.
The sushi is so good! We particularly loved the Honolulu roll! We also had the California, Black Rock, and another shrimp tempura one and they were also very good!
Always enjoy Stevenson’s and this time was no different. The dynamite roll and sushi pizza are both awesome. Great service and the seating with the view outside is outstanding. So great! Mahalo, Stevenson’s!🌈☀️
sashimi is heavenly! amazing sushi and refreshing yuzu mule!
Everything we ordered from the cocktails to the large selection of wine was excellent. The sushi and unique dish, baked lobster, was excellent!!!!
Gorgeous setting with moonlit ocean views and absolutely killer sushi. Servers need some training as do hostesses. Strange clash of sounds with loud band music emanating from lower level terrace bar.
AMAZING SUSHI, get the Toro and the sushi pizza. Service and ambiance were only okay. Go for the sushi though!
Party in the bar made it quite noisy, but the food was delicious.
This is the first time to visit the restaurant for us.
Luckily the night was quiet and less peolple there.
The chef, waitresses are so nice and frindly.
Food is really good we enjoy there everthing what we had.
Just one thing the miso soup can be a little less miso, I think.
Anyways we want to be back again!
We enjoy our visits every time we come here
Great food, amazing service, and an unbelievable view.
We ate out on the patio which is a beautiful ocean view. Fabulous sushi!
This place had some of the best sushi I've ever had, including octopus. Also, they had naan sushi pizza and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Always order it.
Best sushi on the island. Worst service in the world. Bar staff is actually more attentive than wait staff. Truly amazing food.
Amazing food and service, some of the best apps and rolls on the island.
Best sushi I’ve ever had
Wonderful. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Will return.
This was our second visit to the restaurant while we were on vacation! We went again because the service, quality of the food, and ambiance were amazing. We enjoyed everything so much.I can't say enough about the wonderful staff .Everyone we had the pleasure of meeting were professional and friendly, they exuded genuine hospitality and acknowledged my Husband's Birthday with a lovely dessert. That made me very happy and we will be back.
This is so far my favorite restaurant at the Grand Hyatt!
Overall: Really wanted to like this restaurant, but was disappointed
- nice environment for get-together with friends and maybe drinks ( did not use bar)
- excellent service from receptionist waiters, water servers
- only good dish is hamachi collar fish, but it took 2 tries before getting it right
- food came out relatively quick and was served hot
- way over-priced even for hotel prices, average 2X of high-end Honolulu restaurants
- overall food quality (sushi, desserts) mediocre-to-average; did not try drinks
- tried to pass on a lump of fish as hamachi collar (also under-cooked), but they got it right (right fish, perfectly cooked) once I pointed out the problem
- very noisy bar. Good for gatherings but not for quiet dinner
Delicious sushi rolls. The dynamite lobster roll was to die for! It was a bit loud due to a large family sitting next to us. This restaurant is in a beautiful setting in a beautiful resort. Highly recommend!
Beautiful Ambiance and Amazing Cuisine! The quality and attention to detail is second to none. We enjoyed the service and will be dining again this evening! I am in the industry and have exceptionally high standards, I appreciate and take notice when I see my standards met and exceeded! Excellent work Stevensons Sushi and Grand Hyatt Poipu Resort and Spa!
Sushi selection was great. Lots of gluten free options.
I was in for my birthday and Jeff was really great. All the food was amazing and the view can’t be beat!
This was our first time dining at Stevenson’s and it will be the last. Overpriced sushi and an inattentive wait staff made this a night to forget. The restaurant wasn’t that busy. There were empty tables all around us yet we had to wait almost 15 to 20 minutes for someone to take our drink and food order. Our sushi arrived about an hour later. The sushi was very good but no better than we’ve had elsewhere. We’ve had just as delicious and creative rolls elsewhere for half the price and delivered to our door in that time frame. The waitstaff were not terribly apologetic. There was also a serious mosquito issue, I was eaten alive. I understand mosquitos happen, especially on a tropical island. I mention this so you know that this is an open air restaurant so you may wish to use insect repellent.
The food was outstanding. Loved the lobster dynamite. A bit overpriced but you should know what you're getting into before eating. We did ask a server for more wasabi which never made it but we made it work. The only issue we had was the tiramisushi. Don't get me wrong, it's a good dessert but is not close enough to a tiramisu to deserve the name. It's basically a chocolate cake wrapped around a coffee mousse. Again, good but slightly disappointing.
Beautiful and unique setting for good sushi!
Very cool library vibe. Staff was very nice and the food was pretty legit. Sushi pizza was something I've never had and was delicious.
Great food and our waiter was spot on!
