The drinks were way too strong...not mixed correctly and menu was so limited we actually left to go eat at Parkside. The decor and design choices were on point and served...but that’s it. Glad we tried it but won’t return.
Friends were in town and we had brunch. The food was delicious. The service was impeccable. Will definitely return.
Wasn’t aware menu was limited due to covid. We booked going off of the menu provided here and were disappointed it was very very limited. I wouldn’t have gone had I known and we were in town for a short time so I felt a little cheated not getting the large brunch selections I thought we would have. If it says limited menu on open table, it’s not where it was easy to see.
One staff member for 6 tables! She was a hustler
Kitchen closes at 10pm
Only the bar is open till 11pm
It was unfortunate this information wasn't on open table. Because my night was planned for food and drinks..
Amazing customer service and food was delicious. Our server Tyler went above and beyond.
First time to dine at Stella San Jac. Loved the Barrel aged Manhattan, it was so smooth! The Crispy Brussels was cooked to perfection! A little sweet and a little spice! the biscuits was a good as my grandma used to make! Laurel was an amazing server! She paid attention to every little detail and made dinner such a delight! Very informative and making menu suggestions. After dinner, stopped at the bar and met one of the best bartenders ever! Tyler and his magical concoctions was perfect every time!
Spacious seating area, very friendly and helpful wait staff, and good food. Lovely ambiance and decent prices that skew a bit higher than average.
The food was amazing. Quick service. Great atmosphere.
Good food, good prices
Outstanding food. great location. Best Cubano sandwich I've ever had.
The service was friendly and the food we ordered was quite delicious, and was served promptly.
The restaurant is okay. The menu seems a bit uninteresting, but it is acceptable. The food is well prepared. The seating is crowded but the the noise level is not too bad. Overall, I was reasonably pleased.
Really enjoyed brunch here.
Great food and environment, and our waiter (Logan) was excellent! Will be back
Wonderful staff. Very accommodating of my gluten free diet. I had more than enough options. We have a wonderful time!
We received wrong burger (undercooked) while table across the room waited & my dish didn’t come until their burger arrived too well done. We had to send burger back to be cooked again. Short staffed on a busy night in bar area.
We were visiting from NY and came with a party of 8 for a nice dinner for a bachelorette party. They were so accommodating and the food was DELICIOUS!!! So pretty inside. We had a great time. Bone marrow, biscuits, short rib and the seared chicken were some favorites!! Thanks again Stella San Jac!!!
We had an underwhelming food experience to say the least. This wasn’t a memorable meal. My snapper not only looked like 4 small fish sticks, but they were far too overcooked and came with what they called a quinoa tab Tabouleh. The only thing that even slightly made this fish taste like tabouleh was the fact that it contained parsley. No taste of lemon or tomato. From the fish to the quinoa, it was dry and under seasoned.
Great staff. Clean and well decorated restaurant. Great options on menu for clean eating. Waitress knowledgeable on ingredients. Would recommend for sure!
The food was absolutely amazing. I've never had a crab cake with so much flavor. The beet chips were a very nice pairing with the horseradish dip. The lobster mac and cheese will leave you begging for more.
Stella San Jac became our restaurant of choice during our five-day stay in Austin. We enjoyed a breakfast there and then dinner on two successive nights. The decor is very pleasant. But what makes the restaurant stand out are (i) the great (but modestly priced) food and (ii) the friendly, attentive service. Be sure to order the #16 biscuits; they're incredible! And the seared diver scallops and Texas redfish were also standouts. The staff varied during our three visits, but everyone was uniformly welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We really felt comfortable there. It became clear that management really trains staff to provide a satisfying customer experience.
Oh how pleasantly surprised we were of their bar and how betrayed we felt by their kitchen- wouldn't recommend
Generally a very pleasant experience. My pork chop wa not as hot as I wanted, so I sent it back. They remedied this quickly and efficiently. The drinks and desserts were very Gohr.
Great place, chicken and waffles are ridiculous!!
Great drinks and good. Service was good too. The bar is where it’s at — the money maker. Their Bar Manager is on point. — thanks Autumn!
Really loved this place! I was shocked when I discovered this little gem is located off the lobby of The Westin. The vibe and the atmosphere were jumpin' on a Saturday night and the staff was on it, including Brittney, our server. We started out with the signature old fashioned and the blackberry bees knees while munching on the #16 biscuits with whipped honey butter...thanks to Yelp!
For our main courses we ate the pan seared chicken and Texas red fish and they were both delicious.
We really enjoyed our evening.
The food and service were above average. Here's is why my rating is not 5 stars:
My friend and I split the roasted Brussels sprout and kale salad. It was outstanding. What really bothered me is when we ordered, we said we are going to split it. We didn't ask for it to be split by the chef. They charged each of us $5 to split the salad on our own plates. So we paid an extra $10 for the salad. That does not sit well with me. Plus my friend ordered a cheeseburger. She didn't want FF with it and asked what she could get instead. The waitress didn't say any of the items would be at an extra cost to her if she replaced the FF. She was charged a fee for skipping the FF and getting Brussels sprouts instead. I don't like when restaurants do that and because of that, I will not be back.
Valentine’s Day, so it was busy. Food was good but a little over priced for the quality. Drinks were delicious.
Stellar service, from the hosts to the servers and everyone in between. We loved it. The drinks were excellent too.
Fish was dry and nothing special very small portion even for a “large plate” tapas, short rib was obviously crock pot special versus grilling or smoking. Service was excellent though. Seems with location in hotel they don’t have to really try that hard with the food.
We came on Valentine's Day as a group of 4. My steak was ordered medium well. It was sent back three times due to it being cooked medium rare each time. They couldn't seem to figure it out. The lady manager brought my steak back out to me each time, however, she never had me cut into it, and would walk away after setting the plate down. I ended up eating asparagus and mashed potatoes for dinner. We do appreciate not being charged for the meal, however, I should not have left there without being able to eat the filet that I had ordered. She basically told us she didn't know what was going on in the kitchen that night. My mom's steak was the same way, but she switched with my husband who had a pork chop, and who eats medium rare steak. This was an unpleasant experience, I did not get to eat a full meal this night, and will not be back. I ended up leaving the uncooked steak on my plate. I was very disappointed and still not sure why I was never served a steak that was medium well. I have worked in the restaurant business in the past, and know this is not acceptable.
Great atmosphere. My wife and I went for valentines and they did a wonderful job as far as ambience goes. Our waitress was not good at all. Very sarcastic when asking about vegan food. She didn’t like it. Also, my salad was good but the only thing they could come up with for vegan was a quinoa bowl that had only quinoa for 22$. Plain meal. We heard San had more vegan options but we weren’t helped. A bit unfortunate.
We really enjoyed brunch. The cocktails were amazing. The entrees were interesting and very good. The service could have been improved. My iced tea was only refilled on request and it took quite a while before we were able to order. The biscuits were yummy, but the mini donuts were not great. They were mealy and soggy and the sauce really didn't do anything to make them better. Overall though, we enjoyed our meal immensely and the restaurant is beautiful.
The hotel and restaurant are beautiful and the service was wonderful. Their craft cocktails were also very tasty! We shared the fried avocado salad and the strip steak. Had higher hopes for both. They were ok, nothing outstanding. And they are known for their biscuits, which were really good but a little dry and could have been better if they were warm.
Overall our dinner date was fine. Can’t say we will go back anytime soon since there are so many choices in Austin.
Very good food and excellent service.
Service was great the food was great parking was awful we enjoyed ourselves maybe one day will return again.
Food was delicious, service was great! We will be returning in the future.
Arrived early for our reservation but we're seated promptly. Drinks were good. Food was just OK. Had the beet chips to start - kind of oily and oddly sweet. Crab and shrimp lobster roll was heavy on the mayo dressing and the chips that cane with it were housemate but rubbery. Both the beet chips and potato chips needed salt.
Great service/manager is awesome!
