Steamers of Pismo is a seafood restaurant in Pismo Beach, California. The atmosphere inside is casual and family friendly. Light colors, high ceilings and mounted blue marlin fish all contribute to the pleasant vibe of the place. Why is open table saying this restaurant is permanently closed? It's my understanding that it's being remodeled and reopened under new management sometime in late August. If my understanding is correct you are doing a disservice to this business. I would appreciate your response.

Not unexpected, there were many families (with young children) celebrating Mom. Kids were not accustomed to eating at a restaurant an it was obvious. To bad the Dads did not step up and relieve Mom of this teaching opportunity.

Went for Mother's Day Brunch only to find out there was an error on their website and there was no brunch. Ended up having lunch instead. It was good but the reason we has gone in the first place was because of the brunch. Seems like an error that should have been fixed....Disappointing.

Fish and chips was so good, and I am very picky about fish and chips! Our waitress was fantastic and there is a huge parking lot so even that was easy

Loved this place.looked comfortable enough to bring my kids next time and also a great date night place sometging for every one here.food was excellent prepared just right and beautiful to boot can't wait o go back.

I missed the tempura battered lobster tails appetizer, but the calamari made up for it. Service was great, food was excellent and the 1/2 price wine offer was much appreciated.

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Steamers was recommended. The ability to reserve online was wonderful, as I did so while I was on the beach with my wife. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were immediately greeted and were sitting in our booth within moments. We had an amazing view in the booth of the shore line. Our drinks arrived promptly along with our appetizer. My diner, the fish and chips was perfect. It was in fact the best fish and chips I have ever eaten, and I have been visiting Pismo/Avila for over 20 years. My wife's steak was quite cooked correctly in the center, but the edges were ideal. I thus gave my food 5/5 stars and hers 3/5 stars for an average of 4. I got a chocolate martini (can't remember the name) and wasn't very pleased with it. It felt too strong and over powered with alcohol. Overall I was very pleased and I hope to return again. I will likely get the same meal again, but I may be hard pressed to convience my wife due to her less than optimal experience :(

Besides the food being incredible the highlight of the evening was when my friend asked if there was anyway to know what was in the salad dressing because she loved it so much!
Next thing we know Candace, the chef is sitting down at the table with us. She wrote down how to make it and explained in detail to us how to cook to reduce the wine and vinegar.

Food was mediocre at best. Fish was overcooked, veggies were under cooked. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you just want a place with a great view and don't care about the food.
