We went here here for a celebratory dinner during our first trip to Aspen! Food was amazing, great atmosphere and great service. Our server was Alex and he was awesome!!

We had a wonderful meal in a great setting. Service was very good. We are outside in a beautiful night but the inside was a real surprise— very clubby and rich. Worth a visit!

Coming from Denver and living in NYC for over 10 years, this restaurant is cozy, perfect location, amazing food, service and overall fantastic. 2nd visit in 3 months- will change me back every time we come to Aspen.

We heard all the hype about 316 and the meal lived up to it all. My wife and I shared the bone-in KC Strip Steak, the sautéed spinach and cartelized onions which I specified when ordering them to be burnt. They were sensational. The steak was of the highest quality and perfectly cooked. We also shared the cobb salad which was delicious, but kinda small. Our server, Justin was warm, sincere and spot-on. He's also not one of those servers that tries to get the check total up. This is one of, if not the best restaurant in Aspen.

This was our first time at Steak House 316. My husband requested this restaurant for his birthday dinner. My husband had the Filet while I had the Halibut. My husband also had the Onion Ring Tower. My husband loved his meal. He gives it 5 stars. I very much enjoyed my fish but found it a bit over cooked. Therefor, I rate my meal 4/5 stars. Next time (yes there will be a next time) I will be very specific about the temperature of my fish; I anticipate that meal will be 5/5 stars. For me the highlights of the night was the service and the setting. We dined on the patio under a perfect evening sky. Our waiter was very attentive; his timing was impeccable. The wine sommelier offered great recommendations that paired well with our dining choices. We really enjoyed our evening at Steak House 316 and look forward to our next visit.

The greatest thing about 316 is immediately experienced....great staff. The restaurant is a unique historic home built in the early mining days of the area decorated with a Victorian flair. It is a romantic place great for a special date or anniversary. The food, we enjoyed a filet and rack of lamb with accompanying overwhelming onion rings, green salad done simply with a balsamic dressing, lovely bottle of red chosen from a large wine book was prepared expertly. This is on the higher price range, but is worth it for a special evening with great service.

Great ambiance and decor. Service pretty good. Appetisers were fine but my steak wasn’t - their signature bone in ribeye was tough and tasteless. I ate next to none of it and it was removed without a comment - waitstaff should be trained to question if everything is OK if a guest hasn’t eaten the meal. I then had to ask to have it removed from the bill. A real shame as the ambiance is so lovely. If I were local I would give it another chance.

The restaurant had a hired photographer invading the privacy of the diners. We expressed to the manager that we were uncomfortable being photographed or our photo's being used in their marketing materials. We were told they were "blurring" faces; however, we stated we were still uncomfortable and do not wish to participate. The photographer then went outside and continued taking photo's directly at us. We spoke to the photographer directly who again stated that they would blurr faces. We were quite uncomfortable and not enjoying a peaceful meal and asked that he stop until we leave. The photographer said he was just doing his job and then brought the camera directly in front of our table and we could hear the Manager telling him that we weren't going to like it; however, the photographer attempted to act as if he were taking photo's the other direction and turned his camera directly on us. We again told them we were uncomfortable and to please stop. The Manager did nothing other than walk away. We immediately paid our check and left. The disrespect of how this was handled and to continue to make us uncomfortable during our meal was very disappointing.

In the Open Table reservation I mentioned that it was for my wife's birthday in the special notes section and that she loves Creme Brulee w/raspberries, but I guess that doesn't get passed on to the restaurant or they chose to ignore. Otherwise the food was fine.

Ate outside on a gorgeous evening. Great steaks and service, as usual. The brussel sprouts were a surprise hit on the side. Open table is fine for an early or late reservation, but you need to call the restaurant if want a reservation between 6 and 8 pm (30 day advance).

We had been vendors at the Food & Wine classic so barely ate the whole weekend there. The food here was absolutely amazing and so worth ending the weekend there for dinner. My bone in filet was cooked perfect as was my friend's halibut. The Blue Cheese Bone marrow butter was A_Mazing and came all the way home with me to NYC! It has been a long time since I had a meal that good and I am in the industry and eat out for business quite a lot as well as pleasure. Our server was great, attentive and personable.

Went there for a birthday. Were seated in the midst of a retirement party. People hovering over, next to and on top of our table. Loud and annoying. Steak was overpriced and undercooked. This is supposed to be one of the top restaurants in Aspen...not impressed.

I went to the restaurant early with my two sons, 11 and 7. Food and service was excellent. Our steaks and roasted chicken were excellently prepared. We enjoyed the classic ambiance and had a great time.

Off night at The Steak House. Just overall not as good as usual. Overcooked side dishes and everything incredibly salty. Two mistakes on the bill too which is always disturbing.

Steak was good, although one of our party had to send back because was not cooked properly. Crab legs way overcooked. Artichoke appetizer awful. Onion rings terrific. So dark. Could not read menu without phone flashlight and saw others doing same thing. Overall average experience. Will not return.

Our favorite restaurant in Aspen. We try and end a great vacation with a great meal there every visit. Alex our waiter is top notch and Sunny, the wine director is the best! Do not leave without trying the Bourbon bread pudding as it is worth every calorie!

While the food was outstanding and the table side service equal to other fine restaurants in Aspen the overall experience was disappointing for several reasons: -the seating is "economy class" close and you are part of other patrons conversation whether you want to be or not-no romance to this type of experience -you cannot read the menu without a flashlight because the room is so dark and the menu is printed on dark paper. This takes away from the enjoyment of seeing all that the restaurant offers and making a decision -there is an awkward "faux clubby" experience to the arrival and seating that is a let down from the start -the pricing ($350 for 2 people) is not consistent with the dining experience

My wife and I both got the fillet and enjoyed every second of the meal. Easily one of the top steaks I’ve ever eaten. Cool restaurant with a 20s vibe to it. Perfect end to a day in Aspen.

It’s a beautiful atmosphere. The service is top rated & the food was outstanding. A real cozy , elegant , fine dining experience in ski country!
